Episode description

Hello and welcome to Crime & Spirits, where your hosts teach you about true crime, spooky stories, and how to make a great cocktail.

Join us for the very first installment of our Serial Killer Summer Series!

This week we'll be diving into Herbert Mullin. He was responsible for taking the lives of 13 people over four months. Herbert Mullin was a man who was compelled to murder by both his mental illness and his belief that his killings were preventing the occurrence of natural disasters. He seemed to genuinely believe that if he killed people, earthquakes wouldn't happen anymore. He was sure of it. While the premise of this case sounds outlandish at best, it doesn't erase the fact that Herbert Mullin was a violent man who did terrible things.

There is a lot to unpack here. So, we're going to need a strengthy cocktail. It may be the summer of serial killers here at Crime & Spirits, but it's also the summer of cocktails! Each week will feature a drink inspired by this beautiful time of year. This week we're mixing up the "Lemon SummerThyme" cocktail.

Not a drinker? That's okay! Make yourself some coffee or grab a bottle of water. It doesn't matter what you're sipping along with. We're just happy to have you here!

Come hang out with us on social media. This is where we post drink recipes and fun how-to videos!
