47: Robert Hansen aka The Butcher Baker
Episode description
Hello and welcome to Crime & Spirits Podcast, where your hosts, Bree & Suze, teach you all about some true crime, spooky stories, and how to make one heck of a good cocktail.
Join the girls this week while they dive into the life and crimes of Robert Hansen, a man better known as The Butcher Baker. He and his family lived in Anchorage, Alaska where he owned his own bakery. To the community, he was a meek and mild family man who served pastries. However, there was another side to him fueled by dark desires.
In the late 1970s and throughout the early '80s Robert Hansen kidnapped, tortured, and murdered over 30 young girls and women. It's astonishing he was able to get away with what he had done. He was able to evade capture for years, until the fateful evening, one of his victims escaped.
Join us for a drink while we chat about some true crime! For sipping along this week, our resident bartender Suze is mixing up "The Empress Alaska."
Not a drinker? That's okay!! Make yourself a cup of coffee or just grab a bottle of water. It doesn't matter what you're sipping along with, we're just happy to have you here.
