27: The Jonestown Massacre: Part Two

Hello! Welcome to Crime & Spirits Podcast where your hosts, Bree & Suze, teach you all about some true crime, spooky stories, and how to make one heck of a good cocktail. The girls are bringing you the conclusion episode about The Jonestown Massacre this week. Jim Jones is notorious for starting the doomsday cult, The Peoples Temple, and was able to manipulate over 900 people to lay down their lives for his cause. What may have started as a response to aid in the civil rights movement of the 1960s and a search for religious freedom quickly spiraled into something much darker. In part two the girls talk about the Temples relocation to South America, the building of Jonestown, and how the death of a congressman became the catalyst for mass murder, the likes of which we've never seen before.
