S1 E3: Cricket Scotland's Racism Inquiry w/Qasim Sheikh
Episode description
Inspired by Azeem Rafiq’s bravery, Scottish cricketers who in previous years had shared their experiences of racism only to have them fall on deaf ears, thought it was time to try again.
And Cricket Scotland chair Sue Strachan listened. As did Sport Scotland, who launched an independent inquiry. But change cannot be forced through by one person alone, so can a sustainable difference be made north of the border?
On Cricket: Inside The Story, journalist and broadcaster Nakul Pande seeks expert help to take you beyond the headlines and deeper than the news cycle on the sport’s most important stories.
Giving us the inside track on Scottish cricket’s racism inquiry is:
• Qasim Sheikh, anti-racism campaigner affiliated with Running Out Racism, and former Scotland men’s international cricketer
