Where From Here: Why Even Get Up? (Matt. 22 & 28; 2 Cor. 5)

In order to speak up, grow up, build up, and power up in the Christian faith, we need a reason to get up and live for Jesus. Steve Smith preaches about two important motivations for believers rooted in not only the commands of God—the Great Commandment and the Great Commission (Matt. 22:37-39 and 28:18-20)—but also the compassion of Christ, “for the love of Christ...who died and rose again on their behalf.” (2 Cor. 5:14,15). Before Steve’s sermon we hear briefly from Heidi Koppen, visiting missionary to Ireland, and also from Dan Eakins, who led worship for the morning (Dan and his wife Georgiana are Creekside-supported missionaries to Romania).
