Episode description

Kyle Clarkson :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, April 17,2016 “...unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” God's law is not a guideline, but the way we must live to be right with God by perfectly reflecting Him. The trouble with the law, however, is that we can't keep it. Kyle Clarkson's message on Matthew 5:17-20 emphasizes the answer to this futility as the righteousness only available in and through Jesus Christ. To fulfill the law, it must be obeyed or a penalty must be paid. Jesus did both on our behalf. Kyle explains that the key to understanding the rest of the Sermon on the Mount is looking at the law through God's grace. Message is followed by a reminder from Rollie Clarkson about the Creekside Men's Mentoring and Accountability program.
