Episode description

Steve Smith :: Creekside Church :: Sunday, May 10, 2020 “You have heard... 'love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies…" In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus contrasts two approaches to dealing with our enemies. From Pastor Steve's message we see that the Scribes and Pharisees of Jesus' day taught restrictions on love and expansion of hate, while Jesus made clear that kingdom righteousness extended to loving our enemies as well as our friends. Steve also challenges us toward 4 responses to Christ’s command to love our enemies. Steve's message follows a video and word honoring mothers on Mothers' Day, as well as a few other announcements.
