Music has an inexplicable power. Despite what music-career cynics want to tell you, there are possibilities of making a living, but more importantly a difference out of that power. Simon Shaw is proof of that. At 17, Simon received college benefit money for perfect attendance. He bought a bass guitar, an instrument that would provide him with opportunities from that point onwards, including becoming a live music promoter and events manager for major venues in his area.
