¶ Introduction and Excitement
Good morning, friends. I am so excited today. It's a beautiful day. We're coming into summer and I'm already hot. So that gives you a little idea of what this summer is probably going to be like in Florida. But nonetheless, enjoying myself and just really excited to have this platform where I get to talk to you guys and kind of educate more on things that you guys you're asking me about.
I've gotten so many comments lately about people finally starting to recognize subconscious programming as a way that they are holding themselves back. And so obviously that is my realm of expertise. I love to talk about it. I love to help other people connect those dots. And today I wanted to talk about how those subconscious programs can absolutely block your creativity.
We are all creative in here. Everyone is born innately creative and wanting to be able to create something either with your hands or through, you know, being a parent or through a business, whatever it could be, there is such a pull towards being able to hone that creativity and make something out of it. So let's dive in today. day, let's talk about what may be holding you back in this area. And hopefully you're going to learn something pretty amazing about yourself,
maybe a little self reflection that you weren't expecting. All right, let's get started.

¶ Rebranding Announcement
Quick announcement, guys, before I get started, I am rebranding the podcast. So if you search for Deep Healing for the Creative Soul, you may not find my episodes. So definitely subscribe if you haven't already so that you can get those updates anyway. But I am changing it to Creative Entrepreneurs Unblocked. So just keep that in mind because I went to search for my episode to to share with somebody the other day, and I couldn't find it because I had already made that switch.
¶ The Impact of Creativity on Entrepreneurs
Okay, now let's get started. So we are talking about creativity today. And one of the biggest topics that comes up with creativity when I'm talking to other entrepreneurs, whether they be photographers, or any kind of artists or authors, graphic designers. Whatever, all of us thrive off of being able to use that innate creativity and build something, right? Even our personal projects kind of come from this same cup of creativity that we share with our clients.
¶ Balancing Personal Creativity and Business
Actually, this totally reminds me of back, let's say 12 years ago. Okay. I had just had a baby. I started taking pictures and I remember talking to one of my brothers and I had said to him, I'm thinking about, you know, taking this photography a step further and creating a business around it. And he said to me, he said, you know, every person that I know that started out as a hobbyist photographer and moved towards business.
Burnt out. They no longer could do it. It ended up being a total wash and they lost their ability to even create for their own personal projects. And I'm not going to lie. I mean, the Aubrey back then, back in the early 2010s, 2012s, right? Back then I was completely like floored and I was upset by this information. I was like, wait a second, is that going to happen to me?
Am I going to like all of a sudden be washed up because I decided to make money off of this amazing talent that I have and all these skills that I've learned. And it really did get to me. I thought about it. But what I decided to do was kind of do a slow walk in. And some of you will relate to this. I kind of put one foot in, kind of tested it out. You know, let me do this session. Let me charge a little bit. I did model shoots too, just to see if I could still create.
And I was like, okay, I'm still creating. I'm still taking amazing pictures. So I think I'm okay. And then I actually jumped in and built that business. But it was funny to me because I know that's the mentality. And I don't think my brother's necessarily wrong. I'm sure from his experience, that's what he did see. But on the other flip side of that, it's like we are prone to getting burnt out.
We're prone to completely emptying our creative cup for other people, for other situations, and then being like, oh, crap, there's nothing left here. I don't have anything left. I'm done.
¶ Managing Creative Burnout
And I mean, I've seen it a lot. You know, you've seen it a lot. Even people who just get into a side project and maybe were volunteering for a foundation or something like what I've done in the past, which is going to hospitals and doing sessions for bereavement. For little children who are passing or have passed or it's their last moments here, done sessions just purely out of charity and giving them those images for them to keep forever.
Even that, I have learned that I have to be really cautious because it will absolutely drain me if I'm not allowing more space in my life to, again, fill that cup, right? If I picture, and I'll do this whole analogy of this cup because it's something that I use often, and I do find it to be very, very useful. So if you have a cup, most of us are walking around with this cup of water that's completely full to the brim. You cannot add another drop of water.
Okay. That is how most of you are walking around right now. The work that I do when we reprogram the subconscious mind, we're going to release least some of these ideas that are taking up space and adding water to that cup.
¶ Exploring Current Mental Struggles
So the first thing we do is we dive into whatever's going on currently in your life. What are you struggling with? What are you stressed about? What keeps you up at night, if anything? On the flip side, you know, how's your business running? What is aggravating you about this space? How do you feel about creating? You know, are you feeling like only certain projects light you up, right? All of these things give us input on how full that cup is and what we need to do to kind of empty it, right?
The goal is not to completely empty it, but the goal is to provide more space so that we can grow and we can add in new positive things, right?
¶ Clearing Space for Positive Growth
Most of us don't have space for anything else. We don't have space for any affirmations. We don't have space for, you know, I'm going to take a day off because it's so full of priorities, obligations, and programming. So when we do that kind of work, we empty it out first, then we add in something good.
People in our space, creative people, are constantly looking for new projects because they feel like what they need for their inspiration is to take on a new, beautiful, beautiful project that maybe someone else is doing, but not many people are doing. It feels really good. I'm just going to create this amazing composite, or I'm going to do this session that nobody else has done, right? And we put those in our cup and we just try to jam them in there.
Just like, take this, you glass of water, you. And what ends up happening is it's not fulfilling to us because there was no space for it. And we wonder why we take on projects and we fail. We wonder why we take on even projects that we're getting paid for and we fail, right? We no longer can keep creating when that cup is full. all.
¶ Emptying Your Cup for Creativity
So what I really want to drive home for you guys today, everybody who's listening, yes, you, okay, I want you to find ways to empty that cup. Now, I don't want you to just think about your responsibilities. Okay, well, you know, have someone else cook dinner on Tuesday nights, or something like that. I'm not just talking about responsibilities, because your headspace space is full of thoughts, programs.
When I talk about subconscious programs, those are negative thought patterns and also limiting beliefs that you are telling yourself every day. You know, for example, I can't create this project because I just saw on Instagram that there's this other artist that does something very similar. So I can't do it now. So now I need to ditch that completely, right? That is coming from a false belief around scarcity. It's coming from a place of feeling like a fraud, feeling like a copier,
right? Like I'm a copycat. I don't want to be that. Feeling like you have to be so unique that nobody else has done what you've done. Listen, you guys, somebody has done what you've done. Does it look exactly the same? Probably not. Likely, it may. but somebody else has already done it. This idea that only the most unique and original thoughts really pay in advance, they really bring you up in the world, they make you be noticed, that's false.
But it's so easy to see how these thought processes end up getting to us and they end up shifting the way we look at our work or shifting the way we look at our personal projects.
¶ Subconscious Programs Blocking Creativity
So for today I want to give you guys something that you can do right now to kind of take some of that water out of your cup to allow for more space for creativity because I don't know if you've noticed but all of those negative thoughts and subconscious programs absolutely block your ability to create and your ability to feel like you're in an alignment with your work that you you produce?
And if you're not feeling in alignment, if you finish a project and you look at it and you think that doesn't really look like mine, or I don't feel great about it, what you're doing is you're putting out things that are not authentic to you. Okay. And that can be helped. It absolutely can be. The answer is not, oh, I need a break. The answer is not, oh, I need to stop following people that are more talented than me.
Right? The answer is not, oh, well, I got to raise my prices because I'm obviously getting burnt out off of doing these projects. The answer is always to look inside. And that's what I have found with my clients, with myself, being able to dive deep and really look inside and do this self-reflection around what is really going on in my head has shifted so much. It makes all the difference in my work.
¶ Practical Program for Creativity Release
So I want to give you guys a program to release today. You can go ahead and do it with me now. that will help open yourself up to creativity and take a little bit out of that cup. That's our main goal. So what we're going to do is a little bit of a somatic release. Okay. I want you to first listen to what I tell you to do, and then you can do it with me. So I'm going to ask you to take a deep breath in and hold. Okay. I'm going to say a statement.
I want you to think the statement and when you're done thinking it you get to breathe out okay okay so go ahead and breathe in and hold i release all positive and negative emotional blocks with creativity and breathe it out when you're done perfect good job guys now when i do a session with a client either one-on-one or in a group session, we easily release 150 to 200 of these just from a 45-minute session. So yeah, this is the tip of the iceberg, okay?
You may have noticed something's changing in you. You may have noticed that you feel a little bit lighter or that something shifted or you just feel, oh, I'm a little okay with this now where it was feeling a little heavy before. for. Whatever you notice is great. And I would encourage you if you feel the need to maybe write down some more things that may be going on in your head.
Some of some of you out there will have a better ability to connect with that side of you and really start to list things. Some of you have even noticed your mind repeating a story like I can't do it or this is too much for me. Some of of you may have noticed that. Others, though, it goes a little unnoticed. There's a part of our conscious mind that says, no, I'm not listening to that.
I'm going to turn it off or I'm going to, every time it comes up, I'm just going to remind myself that it's not real and it's fake. And that's fine. That's a great way to cope in the time, but that doesn't get rid of it. You're just ignoring it, right? So some of you may be a little more disconnected from those subconscious thoughts and maybe need a little extra, a little deeper dive, we'll say.
¶ Deeper Dive into Subconscious Thoughts
For those of you who feel like you absolutely need an overall of your entire creative business and really start to get rid of these stories that are just making your life miserable. Maybe you feel like it's time to quit your job. Maybe you feel like it's time to, you know, just get a corporate position or something where you don't have to do all these extra creative things, right?
You're feeling really burnt out from being an entrepreneur. entrepreneur, before you do that, I really, really encourage you to dig deeper into these thoughts. Because even if you shift your job, even if you change your lifestyle, those are fine. But you will find that these programs, these stories, these thoughts are going to follow you. You didn't get rid of them. So therefore, they will follow you. Okay, they'll tell you you can't do it again.
They'll tell you you're not good enough again. They absolutely will. Wherever you go, they will come. So it's a great opportunity if you're feeling that push to finally get rid of them, to actually look at them and say, how can I do this?
