Is the Big Bang Biblical?

Many Christians claim that the big bang theory and the Genesis 1 creation account are compatible, since both affirm that the universe had a beginning in time. Yet, this superficial agreement dissolves upon closer inspection. Keaton Halley and Lita Sanders discuss several contradictions between the big bang story and Genesis, and encourage Christians not to rely on the big bang as support for their faith.
