Episode description

God is first introduced in the Scriptures as an artist, a designer, or a craftsman--creating the world and celebrating its beauty and goodness.  And then, in the very next thought, human beings are created "in the image of God," with some capacity of our own to create, to appreciate beauty, and to practice arts of our own.  That capacity for creativity isn't reserved just for "professionals," "master artists," or "experts," but is fundamentally human, which means that there is something intrisically human about the intersection of spiritualtiy and creativity.  And it's for everybody, even if we all find different outlets.  In this special episode of "Crazy Faith Talk," pastors Erica, Sarah, and Steve look at different ways to explore contemplative prayer and creativity, and the many different trains of thought that may lead to.  We'll look at what happens to our hearts and minds when our hands are busy with a project, as well as the value of creating something even if it won't last forever, and the ways that making something for someone else takes on added beauty when we pray for those who will receive them.  There are endless possibilities, and we'll trace as many as we can in this week's episode of Crazy Faith Talk!
