Someone They Knew: Mercy or Murder

Raynella Dossett Leath appeared to be plagued by a string of deadly bad luck. In 1992 her first husband, Ed, who was in the late stages of a terminal cancer was found dead in the couple’s corral supposedly trampled by cattle. Over a decade later, Raynella would call 9-1-1 reporting that she had found her second husband dead from an apparent suicide, but when investigators discovered an extraordinary amount of morphine in his system it led to a criminal investigation into both men’s deaths.
