Tell you what? It almost feels a little naughty being on the couple goals podcast while Amy is over in Nashville. The challenges she jetted off left me here to fend for myself. And well I've been doing a great job. I cooked dinosaur pastor and mix them with some Carbonara sauce so have managed to live off that which I'm going well. But we didn't record an intro for this episode, and I messaged Amy spoke to Amy last night. She's, like, you got it doll and I was like, do I really?

I don't know. So here, I am making it up as I go. Firstly, thank you all for your support in episode 1. It truly went off like a bloody frog in a sock. It was awesome. Your support means a lot for us. This is a new and exciting for us and I hope you get a heap of value out of it. I know so many of you already. We have left reviews and ratings on Spotify, on Apple podcasts and it means a lot for us to see you or getting value from it so far.

And we are just so excited to get more episodes out. Much like today. We've got a brilliant first guest couple, that's my brother and sister-in-law and you are going to love it. It's so funny. So so funny. And yes we did cracker Jose during it but hey. Laughs about having a bit of fun. Another thing I talk about patreon in this episode, we didn't have a patron at the time I mentioned I was going to start one. Since then, I have started one, so I thought I would throw that

out there. In the patron, there's bonus content, you can watch the whole episodes videos if you are more of a visual consumer, you know, like me, I prefer to watch videos on YouTube that I do audio. That is available for you. You can see the link in our Instagram or even I think probably on the show notes for out wherever you're listening. That's all new for me. So have no idea. Really?

Anyway, let's dive into today's episode with myself, lucky Amy, who's gallivanting around, Nashville writing, amazing songs. George who's actually in Sweden, at the moment writing more amazing songs and Kathleen who's over the other side of the river from me right now in Brisbane. Hi, I'm Amy Shepherd. I'm lachland Stewart and although you have different last names, we're married. Now we've been told the secret to a successful marriage is communication. So we're going to talk it out

every week. Share our challenges, and pet peeves. Then we're setting each other. Some goals, some couple goals, couple goals. The podcast is for those who might be looking to life their way through challenging scenarios that all couples. Go through occasionally. We might even get some other couples to join in. Yeah, you'd like that. Hit, subscribe, and tune in every week to hear our weekly

couple goals. Today is a really special day because we have our first guest on our podcast which is any guest, not just any, yes, a very special guests cheering guests, couldn't think of a better couple to invite on as our first couple guess. Well, be careful. You say that? Because a and Liam are going to be listening and it was You know, both equal we would have had six of you on here, six of us at once, but I ran out of that I ran out of and you're leaving tonight.

You're going to Sweden? Yeah, that's right. I had to get this rushed in at the last minute just to just to sweeten the deal for you. You are. There it is. Just actually introduced who it is. We have got George Shepherd, and my brother and he's fiance Kathleen. Sigue yes, into B Shepard. So we've just sat down this lovely. Friday afternoon and we are going to cheers to that. Oh yes, make sure you look at mine in the eyes are. It's seven years.

Bad sex. Oh God. Huh. Let's just do it again. Just to make sure is just to make sure and just to out who poured these I thought is going on. Well, we figured that, you know, you had the little glass so you know, the little poor, right, your sucks, man. Look, he's got just a splash of roses and the rest of us, having massive goblet live is because you're worried about Out. How it's gonna go down. Let's hop in bot, we need a rose

a sponsor for your podcast. I think, if anyone's listening, do you have any suggestions who turns out I'll turn the labels. We smash that, it our honeymoon. Yeah, between those and the body armor hangover drink. Oh yeah, 10:00 a.m. every day. Then we get to the pool and I'm like, I'm not drinking today. I feel so dirty. Until now this is, I am rolls around not even 10:00 a.m. as soon as he saw someone walk past it up. A beer.

I thought it was the best. We look at each other and it's like, toddle off Synod. And every like, every morning be like, okay, no drinking today, I would have one day off and then, you know, 12 o'clock rolls around just like, mmm, it's on. That's why we are still on holiday. Can I just put that bottle on the coast? No, take your lip gloss. Your wife wife Tings. But speaking of speaking about honeymoons, yeah, you guys get married. Tune.

Yeah, we are aren't we? Today was a very special day. I asked Amy to be one of my bridesmaids today. Jim, I get to be rides. I've never been a bridesmaid before, always the bride. Got another breath freshener. Yeah, but we might get married in Vegas again. Oh yes. Please do that has to happen. But yeah, it's also a special day. Yes, because lock is also my Grooms. Yeah, it's been about a month to we. Yeah, we're organized. We got On early.

Yeah, that's right. You know I just wait for the girls did a fluffer that I had a feeling. I'm very honored to be a groomsman groomsmen. Yeah. Sweeping off thing. That's not all. Sorry. Did I say groomsmen long? Groomsmen. You have to clean up the damn way. Pop everything after it's all finished. Well that's fair. That's it. Can't always get the countdown is on how you guys feeling about the wedding. Are you prepared?

Yeah, we're pretty, we're getting that we are taking the list off, we spoke to Our wedding planner this week and we've just got to pick a photographer's. We've got quite a few things. We've got major things to go through, but we're going to the venue and a couple weeks. So I think we've got the major stuff down. Pat, like we've got the venue. We've got the date. Yeah. Like that's a big part. You know, compare bridesmaids bridesmaids.

Just those are the things but we've got to do catering. Now, Cole, and are you actively involved in it? Yeah. Yeah. George is probably the best of all involved in it than I am. I just vault in the paying for Yeah, I just play heads-up on

was IA me, you do things. So if you try, you having a big wedding or you going to have a small wedding, we are having, I guess, I'm medium sized wedding while probably medium small to medium fits into it 50 to 60 people at a mediterranean-style home in 'non, Dairy and dairy like 15 minutes Inland from cabarita Beach. Beautiful, just hide this, you know, this Mediterranean Villa for a week and that's where we're going to do the ceremony and that'll be on the Thursday

or whatever. And then, From Monday to Monday. We're just going to be a drop-in Dropout type of. Yeah, we frat house. How good it'll be like, toilet, papers strewn over the house. You'll be taped to, it'll be all Pole or so maybe a dead tiger in the pool or something like that. Tiger patrolling the pool. Do you haven't holiday with my family yet for a while because they clean up everything within Introverts life before everyone goes to bed.

That's the complete opposite. We're going to work really well together. Forgot about it. I went on holiday, I was like this is fantastic. I feel so guilty. Oh no, it's great whiteness. They are we, but do you have any advice for us? You know. Yeah, coming into a wedding fresh fresh newlyweds. Well, I'm glad to hear that you're having a small wedding. I think that was the best thing that we did. We had how many people do we have 54 including us? So we had 40 something.

I thought there was 40, was it? I'm putting that because remember some people pulled out. Yeah, we had a so yeah, it was during which was a shame like we couldn't have some really important people there, but at the end of the day, we got to speak to everybody. We really made the most of it. Didn't just really didn't whizzed by like it did, but it don't know. Phil, I didn't realize how it's better wedding was going to be okay.

Once again, I was, I would, if I wish I was involved more in the process now that it's done because I was like, but maybe it was so good. Uh, do you have a birthday and someone throws a party? It's always so fun. But when you throw out for yourself, sometimes you know what you're in for Magic's lost, and I think I wish I paid more attention to Amy because Amy was so excited. Where, as I was, I don't care about flowers. I don't care about Cutlery, I don't care, I don't care.

Then cut to Lucky on the wedding day. Yeah. Cutting up the flowers with amazing Cutlery, and now, but during which wouldn't have orchids, that's who you use. It as a pun in the wedding statistic, that was so good. Just for those of you who own that nobody would know because you still haven't released the YouTube video. No, but I will in the vows I said for those of you don't know, locky is a big pun, King loves these ponds to the point where it's embarrassing.

So punished never no, it's not but on their wedding day, I got him back and I said, because they're flowers for Working with orchids. So said, I promise to laugh at your jokes, even the most awkward ones. And this is wrote that I was just like. Yeah, proud of myself. I knew I was gonna want a few in the day and they are. Well, I thought it was too serious to drop a pun, but then I was like, all right, that's

the moment. I mean, I know that she was destined to be with you actually wrote and goes good at it. I really do. All right, guys. Yeah, my other piece of advice would, which is what we did was have a moment to yourselves in the day. Sorry, she deleted it but it was actually in the middle of our wedding photography session that we went up. I had I was really nice. Yeah, we got driven up to this massive. He'll be saying that. Amazing photo where Amy looks just floating.

That was awesome. Yeah, on the rock. Yeah, so we thank abolish a there. Yeah. Casual whole bottle T cells. Ourselves and like they photographer left us alone and we just got to sit on the hill and like we could hear the party going on below us and the sun was setting.

It was a beautiful moment and I would certainly recommend that because, you know, everyone's wants your attention and runs grabbing you to talk and dance and it's just nice to have that moment to be like, oh my God, like that, just happen. Yeah, I think what you guys have done well, as well with the Webster Ville, is you get to spend time with everyone? Because even though we had such a small wedding, I found it hard

to talk to everyone yet. I give everyone their good amount of time because obviously by the time we came back, everyone was absolutely shit-faced. So it's like you want to get on that level 2 miles and Hogan, if you listed. So, I was quite a good till the end. Yeah. I had a lot of, a lot of catch-up so far because we had the recovery, the next day and like half the people showed up. Yeah. All right miles.

If you listening ran up the bar tab, this is slightly more Fireball and then The boys are walking around at all times. Little Fireballs, I had had they get more of those. I said no bottles from La. So the next day, we wanted a mimosa like hair of the dog and they're like, sorry about Times Gone by on Champagnes the next day. I didn't drink the next tough day. What? I got a question for you? Yeah, your proposal was a beautiful one. Thank you lock. I've really enjoyed it.

How did you know it was a? How did you choose that set this, and how did it happen? And how did you know that was a moment? Well, I planned it, obviously months, in advance. I knew that I wanted to take Kathleen away to a really beautiful spot. And then ask her because originally my plan was to ask Kathleen in New York City. We're going to take you up to the top of the Empire State Building something something.

Yeah. And you know, go on a helicopter ride around New York City. It was out of insuk, something like that, it's Kathleen. Kathleen has never been to America and It's kind of romantic sighs New York a little bit through movies and TV Gossip. Girl sections Gossip Girl. Yeah, so that was the plan but then obviously covid hit. And then you bloody jump, the gun. You like lucky lucky. Then propose to Amy. And I was like, oh, okay. Well, rewind that back a bit work in our favor.

Let them have that moment. Yeah, yeah, no it actually did work out. Because but you and I had so much from your wedding and oh God cluding, we're not to be fast as well. Including where to get the jewelry done. Thanks Hogan. But we only play the long game. You took what? Nine years to get engaged? Yeah. It just hasn't make sure we went away for hours eight years.

It was we went away for our eighth anniversary and that's when I asked eight years because it was nine this year and we went to a really beautiful secluded desert island was called Wilson Island. It's like 80 kilometers off the coast of Austin and it's shaped like a love heart and it's shaped like a love hunt and then we it's just one of those places where it's all-inclusive. So you just leave your wallet in

your bag. And then everything, that's there, any time of day or night you can just go and take and it's all free. I always leave my wallet in my bag. Anyway, when you take but you know it was pretty terrible weather. The whole trip for us, you know, we had like a few spots View. You know, afternoons of golden rays. But it was pretty miserable the whole time that we were there.

And the first day, we got to Wilson Island because we'd started the trip on Heron Island which is it little bit bigger, bit more Resort, 'you know, bit more touristy and then Wilson Islands a bit more exclusive secluded so we got to Wilson Island on that very first day and there was this break in the clouds and this sun, rays would just kind of coming down onto the ocean and we would like sitting on this bench on the beach. No one else around and I was like this is it this is the moment.

Oh my God couldn't be more perfect you didn't know that it was going to be that day. I didn't know we've been on holiday for about five days already. So you're just waiting for. Yeah, I knew that I wanted to do it on Wilson Island, but I didn't know when on rules and I imagine if there was no moment to the end, had to do at the airport. Yeah, we nervous. It's packing myself. Yeah, it was terrifying because I was like Like, oh, Kathleen. Look, the sun's come out.

I'm just gonna go get the GoPro and I ran back to the room during was in your backpack. And the ring was in my bag. Yeah. It was in my backpack, which was the whole terrifying ordeal itself, you know, there was no locks on the doors apparel Island. That's not open door policy yeah.he's drone. Now, the engagement ring that we know the laptop. IPad phone would have been a nice backpack. Every day, every day would come back from scuba diving.

Snorkeling and have to try and subtly go through my backpack. Just can't do still, they're going to go very far. No, that's true. Yeah, there was a moment when you're like, hey, let me have a look in your bag for an SD card and I was like, maybe, like what? Yeah. What are you hiding? Look like, Elton. They're all like, Mexican guy hanging by my ankles. But yeah, sorry I came back with

a ring in my pocket. I sat down I set up my phone at that point our sauce and then there's a video which you've seen and then as soon as I hit record, Kathleen is just like what are you doing? Are you doing? Why are you recording? And I just had to take this big deep breath and I'm like, why are you so sweaty? Why are you recording? Why are you so red Kathleen? I think, you know what's best? I don't do it again. With something like this. It was like God continues.

That was lots of sobbing, that was lots of crying. There's lots of hugging, the Kathleen didn't even look at the ring before. She said yes, which was that's a good sign because I haven't had a good look at the ring. What is this worth? I think I looked at the ring before you even got down on one knee. Yeah, I don't even got down on my knee because I did it out the front of a caravan Park time. He's just like, thank you. Can you Please go away. Now this is this cubic

zirconium. It's such a beautiful moment, it was nice being on that island because we didn't have any reception. So yeah, it happened. And there was two people there that came and took photos of us and they congratulated us. And they were beautiful. They were on their honeymoon. Were good friends with him still and we got to spend the next four days with no internet.

That's amazing Wi-Fi email, so we just got to laugh it up and like nobody here because we were Sitting back because we the whole of you said in Tenerife, knew that I'd made a decision. I did, huh? Sitting on Facebook message, swiping down trying to reload. Oh are they here yet? Are they here that when I met you guys I told them that it was

going to happen on that day. Yeah and then we you know reception on Heron Island itself was absolutely atrocious and then Wilson Island it's non-existent you don't even have nothing. SOS reception it's like nothing. So we got there and yeah I'd we did the proposal and got engaged and then we Not tell any, we literally couldn't tell anyone for four days and everyone's back at home, just being like,

do they make it to Wilson? I like to be when we, when we got engaged I was like oh I kind of want like a family to pop up from the bushes behind us. And I was like, no, they're not here. The Swiss Family Robinson. The one who lived on the island might have been a horrible film. Robertson Robertson. I don't know, maybe I let me just go down from Google. Yeah. Carry on with the show. Oh gosh. Hey but let's should we jump into our favorite segments? Yeah, let's do it. That was strong.

Sorry, what was strong, just gulped and it made it. So it's been together for nearly 10 years and so there must be some things about each other. That that really very very sick of. Okay. Yeah. Well he finally had the plunger so where we going? Yeah, the list. Well, normally it's us just talk about our and gripes it's going to be a nice change of pace to hear from some other couples and some of the challenges that they go through. So we want to know, Swiss Family Robinson, they lived on a

bloody. Oh, I think I do know that. Let me see. That's the book. But there is a film just to just to go back to what Cheaper by the Dozen was made it? Yeah. It was like it. Yeah. Oh, okay. It's like a family. That's living on. Yeah, desert island. Yeah. So we want to know. What are your pet peeves about each other and I think Kathleen you should go. First. Ladies fast. I was trying out. What have you done George? You cannot you can know why do

you show defense after? I mean George knows what man is he, he knows straight away and I feel like we should when you asked us this question. I was like I feel like I should guess what George's is for me and I was like, I know exactly what it smells like this one. I'll copy this one aquavit. It sounds like fuck. I'm annoying. Everyone realizes from coming on this podcast, awareness is a

very strong quality of yours. My pet peeve of yours is that no matter where we are in the world or where we are in town, or city or bed, or car, or living room or anywhere, George will decide to pick a fingernail and pick the thing. It out. Fully off. And then I felt what I've never noticed and then place it down. What like the what are you saving that? I used to bite my nails like Goldmember where he eats his skin and puts it in the little tray, which puts it in his, it's

not. Okay. I just find fingernails like, particularly detached from the body. Yeah, that's it. Do you have it? I never leave. At the Eiffel. Leave it there on accident. Then I'll usually House of Mike. It's because I used to bite my fingernails really bad. You did look at your phone. I didn't when I was wrong, the marathon's I didn't and I had like a good two months after I'm literally in the last two weeks. I've gone back to chewing them right.

It's when I'm stressed so lucky Nubs no no see minor never liked no no no. They're usually really thick pieces of big data which is a maybe their toe. Now you should have a turn. But yeah, I know that's a pretty, that's a pretty that's my pet peeve. I think it's a pet peeve, though, because I used to be in lectures at Union, you look down and there would be a toenail on the floor or been you know what university did you go to?

And you look everywhere you look there's like find a total anxiety things and you say it's that you need to think like if you're doing like handyman work you don't want long men like nails because you can catch that I have I've seen George and all So on the guitar. Hey, George smooth. My right hand. My right hand. Is that was another reason? Yeah. Edit this, right? Yeah. This is patreon only. Anyway, let me see your pet

peeve. So, I had to like, you know, collect them all and Whittle them down. Well in this in a similar vein, once again, no matter where we are, we can be in the car could be in bed, have to be in the different cities, a different country Kath. I look over and Kathleen is just thinking about it. Pick is and she just sits there like pulling her lips apart and then like it'll often get to the point where she's drawn blood,

right? And and she still just going and just like, how do you feel about kissing that and then I like you No naka. Ni MW lips. Don't big lips and then two seconds later. I don't notice I'm doing it and you've picked me up on it before. Yeah, I haven't done it but mainly my lips looking really good. It's been, it's been a minute. Well, I like that confidence bit, my lips looking really good and that you do that.

When it's when you're stressed or it's and I think what I'm tuning out like it's just an automatic whenever Kathleen's board, which is all the time around. Make sure I never know when I'm stressed. I understand totally understand. Kind of like that one my like stressed or nervous, probably more of a nervous thing for me. What did you think? I thought it was a snazzy. 100 G's what's this one every time every time because it's such a

big event when George sneezes. I just think it's so funny, so every time when they go, they aim in Georgia under the sunlight, their life, every morning George has to like sneeze, but he has to find the sun to make it nice. It would be driving and he's trying to like get it to that. I just can't. Scott, I think it's so funny because I look away and he catches me with, where it stops

is such, a gorgeous morning. Routine is where he wakes up has his coffee and then put sunscreen on graceful walk to stare at the sun, back inside. And then he goes to the toilet and he's yeah. But I read somewhere that that's actually a genetic thing, right? So our only hope that I have that too. One in three people have, I just think it's the funniest thing, but yeah, it's fair. It's funny because, you know, when you, as soon as your sneeze, is it a delicate thing, right?

Like, there's something. So quick can just ruin it for you and it's like, can you talk about a good sneeze? Oh, it's all one of the best back payment is a good space. Honestly, it's one of that sort of like that. It's one of life's greatest Pleasures. I feel? What would Trump is there anything that would trumpet? Well, please, what's your question? Well, it's right. Yeah. That's one of the funniest things for me is because you guys are siblings Layman.

Oh yeah, we forget about that. Yeah, in George's, I haha, LOL. Dinner conversations always ended up. Don't need to hear in the gutter, in the gutter. Anyway, so heard your pet peeves because so we got a hedge or just sneeze story. Well, no, it's just the ending of following on the Kathleen was saying, is that as soon as I'm aware that she knows I'm trying to sneeze, I get taken out of the sneeze. So I'm, they're trying to like subtly without Kathleen noticing.

Just like, you know, tilt into the Sun or I get myself like cross that You know, point of no return when you lack of combat sneeze or two, but it doesn't happen when I know Kathleen's aware of it. So I'm like riveting. I'm trying like I'm like tilted this way a little bit and then I just see Kathleen like look out the other window and that'll just enough to be like damn stage fright.

That's awesome. Yeah. Getting a good sneeze out is just you know you you ladies and she doesn't sound like it's Sneezy around Kathleen. It's not Catheters are the people and then I don't understand people that can hold their sneeze in and it's like, but it normally comes out the other end. It's oh, I feel like I'm going to explode. You have to be like and it's like give it everything. Yeah, because the whole point of the Seas is likely at the what

is the point of sneezing? It's like, clear your sinuses isn't really it is something like irritating. It would like fool explosion. Like what are we talking about again? Ha, ha, well, full explosion of what to release, what my kind of conversation, like what? So your couple goals, let's set them for this week mindset. Georgia, couple goal, well George is going to Sweden

tonight. So I have said for him, his goal is to try and be active while he's overseas and keep up his Fitness while as best as he can, while he's not in the gym, it's a good goal because I know unfortunately George is not a big lover of the gym. Yeah, but it's good for you, but you are like, I do, you know? I do like going to the gym but it's only when you're overseas and your routine. It's broken. It's just a bit harder to find

the motivation to get that out. We didn't train once when we're yeah. And I literally trying every day. Yeah. And you think we were just drinking piss the holes and you still train station. So I did like four sessions a whole time. That's again, we're on holidays, but when I was writing with you in La I think I went a couple of times In LA and I just like just tired and like you jet-lagged and you just because you don't have like a gym that you go to.

It's like some shitty hotel thing that you like make it up and we've got some dumbbells. Yeah. It's like what am I like Rusty. Pick it up. Put it down anyway and stop picking your fingernails apparently the other one. Yeah well yeah you can't stop me in Sweden Kenya. I look at the crime of the scene. It's a scene of a crime. I drop it. Fingernail with someone where someone has just been herded. I hope you're not doing a crime or committee. Yeah. Well you know what's your goal for me?

My goal for you is to while I'm away. Have a bit of, you know, let loose have a bit of fun. Every time I just, you know, Kathleen's very much, she's very focused. Very determined, you're very, very talented at your job, but you know, you feel like you need a little bit more of just the freedom of like being able to go somewhere on a whim or, you know, everything's got to be structured and routine of Wayne takes Miami's like she misses

her flight, never comes back. Well yeah, she's going to Miami for four days. And you know the Gold Coast on steroids hurricane hurricane right now so you could be free flying something like that. You guys are very opposite people. It's amazing. How Opposites Attract? And yes, yes the whole Union Yang thing. For sure. I'd say lucky and I kind of opposite in certain ways as well. So, yeah. We're like, would you give me similar advice what you gave Kathleen? I do like it.

Mmm, that's what I learned. A lot from a me as well as I you guys obviously siblings. And your Careers are very similar and Kathleen and I are both in the health industry. And so when I get advice from either of you, it's like the flip side of how I live my life and at the beginning like not change but then you also realize you need this a balance between sponsoring a spontaneity. Yeah, beautiful.

And and just like doing things up a win but also like structure is beneficial to a degree and it's just like depending on what you want to achieve. Yeah. And in a relationship because I'm probably Hayes. How rigid? Bridget I am which is yeah which is its rigid some reason work if for our relationship it works and I think that's why maybe Opposites Attract because you keep each other balanced. I mean that's what this episode can be called balance. No this is we finish each

other's sandwiches images. We finish each other's sandwiches. Yeah we're definitely opposites. I'm going to take note on that, but yeah, no I agree with you. I think the difference is that Kathleen and I have are what make us so great together and you know, probably took us a little while to understand that. Yeah. How do you think you've liked you navigated through it? Because a lot of couples. Maybe don't they just got.

I can't definitely be irritated. Yeah, that's definitely be moments where George has been on tour. And I've been very health focused than and I've gone this way and he comes back and he's still party mode and still fun. And it's really To join back into that same direction. Yeah, I mean it's all about compromise at the end of the day and the fact that you love each other this is a big part of it. You know, you want to make the sacrifices so that you can be

there for each other. You know, it's about understanding one another and realizing that both of you have the needs that you have. And they might not be the needs that you want them to have or it's just about letting them go in the direction. They want to go in and just follow them there and you know then you can bring them back this way a little bit into your world and stop holding hands and being able to cross the barrier of that the chasm of the

differences together. Always being a little bit more fluid, you're going to be a philosopher one and I can just feel it. I just need the English actor, Alan Watts. Yeah. Which what we don't have is fine when you come back from You know, time apart. It is almost like people like you going to be so in you are so excited to.

Yeah, I'm always so excited to see Amy but because I've got my routine while she's away that when she comes back into it, I'm almost like, I'm so pumped, but at the same time, I'm like my routine stay. And you almost have this, like period might be a three-day window where you sort of redefine mashing and your lifestyles in. Do you find that we just bring the fun back into your lives. Yeah I'm I'm like just It goes to myself.

Well, I think when we've had time apart, we come back the first like couple of days is always so fun because it's, if it's a weekend, if it's not a weekend, that's a bit challenging coming back and talking my routing coming back in the middle of a work week. I don't see George because I'm working a lot and then he was up late at night so I got a bit early but if we come back on a weekend I'm a little bit more fluid. So it's a lot more relaxed.

Yes, it's a little bit easier but it take definitely takes a week of getting used to each other. Being the space again because like things aren't as tidy and You're used to sleeping in later and just bits and pieces, but I think the more you communicate it, the longer the week goes on the more you like. Okay, we're back into the routine. It just takes him like having a couple of days at home to meet his own space, to get used to life is like and Kathleen. We should mention what you do

for a living. I'm a physio. So I work in the same gym that lucky Works in and I run the physio clinic in there. That's a cool move. Better physiotherapy will have three beds next year, so I'm so excited to sleep logo. Yeah. That's going to cost you. We did it. We did it. Make money. Alright, I'll wait in Boise for the rosie. So my job is very, my job is very, I'm up early early. So I start work at 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning and then I finish it five or six and then I get home.

And I go to bed really quick, like really early and then George's up till like 3:00 a.m. And then some Talent Kathleen has this insane ability and I think you're pretty similar locks. Yeah, you do soon as you close your I rise in bed. It's literally like 30 seconds last week. Yeah. If I'm like right now, I'm falling asleep. This is a stationary moment. Yeah, yeah.

I mean it's the last time I have guests on the but it's, you know, I I just sit and lay in bed for hours an hour, I am jealous of that because there's, you know, I always talk about like the morning such an awesome time, but I wish I could stay. Later and, you know, sit on Reddit like because you guys have so many in Amy tells me so much random information, that's the whole day after we go to bed. Yeah and it's I find it so fascinating but I'm also like

how do you have time to? Where does that fit in? And then when I always saying, if I talk to you I'm just that. All right well I would love to stay up late and but I just meant I was even talking to my dad about it. This morning is what 60 Howard's is 62 still gets up at 4:00 a.m. because he's like I'm missing the day if I Yeah, this is a real goddamn. The I got guilt around it. Yeah, I've got guilt around that. I get really annoyed if I wake up before 10:00 a.m.

And I'm like, what? If it's at 8:00 I'm just like what in the what's going to like? What am I going to do now? I come hang out with me. There's definitely a sweet spot. I don't think 4 a.m. is. How do you reckon the fun? You guys will go. When you first question? Do you want to have children? Oh yeah. And how do you think I'm going? Yeah, we want to have children. Oh yeah, he's hot. I was 60 Bates to 150 wedding's off ring. I think it's still a few years away, but yeah, it would be nice

to her older. We get the less than number gets. Do you think? Do you think? Yeah. Because it started about ten Godly throwing numbers out, like seven to ten. Kids said, I wanted a basketball team. I think the good thing is that, if practice in that? Yeah, well, you know, it takes a lot of practice. Yes, Tim children, ten children, just can't get it right the first time. No, anyway, Way. But I don't think look at you such a small frame, he going to pop 10 children out.

Let's get to that one. Yeah, no, no. I don't want 10. I said, every year it goes on at 8. Then on the dress. Oh wait, nine years and you could get one and now the 90s what I'm doing. A ship. Yeah. Two or three kids. What was the other question of that? Do we have want to have kids? Yes. And how do you think your schedules will? Check schedules will change when that happens. I think it's impossible not to change. Yeah, I mean Mention it to one of your clients and they last

week that you having children. No. No. That was I mean I've mentioned something about George being asleep. I was like I know he won't be up yet and he loved because that's going to have to change when you have kids. I said oh well will it because if you I mean you could put your coat down the middle of the day and have an app which charge will definitely be joining along with. But I would you define down dealership sound like Winnie the Pooh or something. What's eating honey?

And then just going to sleep. Every day, like if during the day, you're up during the night, you would think that that would mean that. Yeah, growls, I do still do productive things. Can we just be clear? But I know, I think you can have both of the we can have, you know, a 22 of the 24 hours covered by someone being awake. That's what I think will work. I'm going to bet that late. No, well, you're like 10 or 11 like 10 but I'm up at 4:00 so it is like that. Sweet spot.

Yeah, so that's the sweet spot. I hope it works out well for us because I mean well, I'll be We're doing it at the same time so I don't know. I think from what on What are the same time stories about when we live together? No, from what I've heard from other couples. I think that it's like, you just got to survival mode. Yeah. Over it. Just to make sure that you make it. Well lucky we've all got awesome parents. Yeah, his fuck. You definitely want them around.

I just tasted really selfish individual. That sounds really bad but I feel like My things are really important to me as they all are. So I'd say at this think that it's out of your hands when you tell them all the parents had a listening to this like you've got a rude awakening coming. No, I know. But I'm going to keep my head in the sand until that day, which is why we haven't had kids right

away. Like yeah, you know, we've taken our time, have you felt any pressure, and you guys might feel pressure, once you get married to have children because, you know how it's like, you get married, then you knock a foal out? I mean, I think there's Children Stewie's has it and I just can't allow every time he says it. I think if we were I definitely feel like from where I'm from Tasmania and you might find the same thing.

But we do want to say that all into one bar is if you are from Regional places there's more of that pressure just because a lot of your friends have kids on younger like a lot of my friends sometimes you've had kids because nothing else to do out there. I have a guy like you they all like that's what I do. You get a house and you're out of the circle. Yeah. I think. In the city, there's less of that pressure because a lot of more people have created.

Yeah, yeah. Like a lot of our friends in have kids till later, I mean, none of our friends really have kids that the friends that we're waiting me, the friends that we have to have kids are older than us. Yeah, it is an interesting point because you think, yeah, in those, like, Regional communities, you are out of the loop if you don't have kids and you're like, oh, you kind of do it? I definitely think we would have

done earlier. We run out of friends to go out with and have drinks, with only had like four to begin with and now, Zero you guys. And so yeah you're white, I want to get invited to the, you know, playgroup parties, baby showers and maybe. Yeah, exactly. Did you get do you feel the biological clock? Well, I had my fertility tests only recently and just because a client. What are you going to bead of

sweat dripping? Well, I had a client who was like, you've got three weeks and she was an obstetrician admittedly. But she was like, I mean, if you've been in a long-term relationship as you guys have and there's no No rush. You may as well check because if there is your fertility is not great. Maybe that'll Fast Track things like, oh yeah, good point. It was like $80 to get it done. So I had it just 80 bucks. Yeah, and and thankfully things are okay.

So we've got time. I mean, I'm sure there's a window. But yeah, I mean there's I don't feel like there's a huge rush now for us. And we've got fun things planned. We can't even talk about them. Can we what fun things? Yeah, not yet. Oh yeah. But you know what? And put it even though I haven't set up the patreon group yet, we'll talk about it in the page, over it later, the fun things. But anyway, back to the fun

things. Yeah, we do have a lot of fun, but yeah, it sounds like we're gonna have kids one day, but we've got a few years. I personally and like Emma says, don't fucking ruin my life yet. We're all just waiting on a approval. Yeah, whatever says lucky. No one's allowed. Blessed. Be like fruit, Emma's the yeah. And then I was just like, okay now and then camera. All right, well, I think that's all the questions we have for you today.

Thank you so much for being our very first couple goals, gasps. Thank you so much, welcome. Actually, we do have on just squeeze a little bit more juice out of you guys right here. Yes, lucky I will go over there with you now. Yeah. Thank you. Would be one bit of a relationship advice, you would give that's worked well for you guys. And I think I think I'm touched on it earlier, but it's, it

really is about compromise. You know, a lot of people take the differences in a relationship as like You know, I'm being unfair or like, you know, how could you do that to me? Or it's all about, it's all about coming to an understanding and, actually, appreciating that you are different people and that you are going to have ups and downs, and it's going to be a roller coaster ride. But, you know, as long as you're on it together, you can weather any storm, you know, you can get through it.

And I think a lot of people forget that and then become like adversaries rather than partners, and then that is where it starts to unravel. And You know, it's like well you didn't let me go out with my friends and, you know, now I'm going to hold that against you. So the next time you do something, I'm going to pull you up on it, and it becomes a bit of a tit-for-tat. Yeah, pipe situation. But it's all about understanding and compromise.

Yes, definitely. I would say my advice would be following on from that is we try to be team players in that way. Are paying playing for the same team? Not teams against each other. Yeah. So we try and communicate so that that's constantly like we're on the same page with what that goal is rather than it

being even. If one of us does something that annoys you you're very you really like get cross like you always can talk and you can't communicate and II think we've both got good girls because I am is the same. Like never is on my back about things is just like you do as you want. Yeah that she's not on my back, she's on my case but she's not on my back. Sometimes she gets on my ass but I really like that. Patronize me of being on the same team. That's the goal. Tit for Tat.

Tip it up. Yeah. Cool. This way we cue the song. Three, two, one. I've heard the time. Thank you guys for coming on our first podcast. This is my first podcast. It's very fun. I was gonna see how I'd hold up next to George on microphone because George loves a microphone. I don't know as much as I love you. Let me in which was good. I had a voice. I love you.
