My guest this week is Mises Institute Fellow, Patrick Newman. Patrick is an economics professor and author. Today we are discussing themes in his newest book, "Cronyism: Liberty vs Power in America 1607-1849". Even as far back as the 1600's, there have been corporations getting together with the State to gain power that would not have otherwise been possible for them to obtain. Patrick and I discuss that, as well as relating it to where we are now in terms of Cronyism in America. And since I have him on, I'd be remiss is I didn't ask him some pertinent questions about the current state of the economy. I think you'll really enjoy this conversation.
