Last year I decided to go alcohol free for 60 days for January and February 2021 to see if I could do it....and how I would feel. I share my experience so far and raise a few questions you might want to consider in your life.
If we only see the world as we are....then the only thing we can change is ourselves.
In today's world it seems to get harder and harder to see the light of the world when all we are in bombarded everyday with fear and darkness. But there is light... a lot of it actually. Maybe that is why the darkness has 'turned up' the volume, as more and more light is finding light!
Happy New everyone. Let's share some thoughts on how this year can look. I also share some of the experience of my Dad passing in November. Here's to a 2021 of learning and growing!
Would you like to pull things into the now and see them without the pain you may have associated with them in the past? It it possible. There are things that simply need to change in your thinking first. Then you can change the emotions that follow the thoughts.
When we swing so far left or right, we ultimately lose sight of our humanity and rational thinking. I experienced this and then had to come to terms with the attack and how I contributed to it.
Sometimes the waiting part of change is necessary. Your desire for change is the beginning of change....trust that you are moving forward.
We all have Blind Spots in our life. The trick is to find them so they aren't preventing you from being the best version of you!
Think there's no such thing as a free lunch? Well apparently we never told the pigs.
How we view the world and our own predisposition creates a filter for everything we see and believe. It's important to recognize this and always question....what else could there be?
Contrary to some opinions, Thoughts do not follow emotions. You have an emotional response to a thought you are having. Therefore it makes sense, to change your thoughts if you want a different emotional response. Yes, this is possible.
Whatever you do in life......if you aren't consistent you won't get the results you are looking for. This applies, not only to habits....but to thoughts as well.
When you open your mind and think for yourself....you'll probably find a lot less thinks to fight with other people about. You can have a different opinion and still be kind if you are looking behind the scenes for what is really going on. In that person's life, in the world and in yourself.
My final installment although don't worry...I'll take you along as things progress.
Get ready for lots of details and some out of the box thinking! It's been quite the Journey this past month.
In the Words of Tony Robbins, The purpose of pain is to move us into ACTION, it is not to make us suffer. This has been a tough reminder this summer....but I'm going to walk you all thru what it was like in the hopes that you too can move yourself into action.
Body image and body love are really missing in today's Society. But this is the body you were given or have chosen if you believe that. It's where your spirit and soul live....shouldn't you be grateful and listen to it?
Such a hard thing to break free of when, since you were born, you've been taught and told what to think. Times are changing and if we want to succeed we need to set aside old ways of thinking.....and simply learn to think.

Are you putting up with things in your life because you have become comfortable with it? I came to this realization this week about something I had let slip back into my life. Accepting pain because it's familiar is not healthy. You have the power, use it.
It was my immense pleasure to have Marek on the show today. His story is def. worth reading in his book, Chasing Black Unicorns, which we discuss today. From his growth and experience, he and his partner Yaritza have formed the Maya Foundation in order to help young women, not just for a short crisis, but for the long term. All proceeds from his book and speaking engagements go to their Charity. Links to everything can be found here https://marekzmyslowski.com/
