Speaker 1

Good morning, everybody. Corey used bloody history. We're continuing on through this David ferryphile and today we're going to read through an article by William W. Turner in Ramparts magazine in June sixty seven. It's called the Inquest. You know, it's funny when you go back and you look at like the Kennedy assassination conspiracy stuff that started to come out in books almost immediately after the assassination. By the time Garrison started his investigation, there must have been dozens

and dozens of books already published. And so I find that these books, in particular cover up by Gary Shaw absolutely unbelievable. What's in that thing? He came so close to cracking so many things in it. It's really unbelievable. The work that he did on the book depository, and you know, showing the picture of the man who was arrested but then released because he didn't speak English clearly Lawrence Howard. That stuff was all highlighted in that book.

And so when I find when you go back to those early books up through like sixty seven sixty eight, all the early stuff Penn Jones and whatnot, Mark Lane, it's always got details in there that have been just pushed off to the wayside. I'm hoping that this article from sixty seven will have some of those amazing details that nobody talks about anymore. So this is called the inquest.

Grand conspiracies need not be grand. There need be only a few central figures in a position to manipulate, wheedle, duped, blackmail and by the bit actors. This is the theory of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison as applied to the assassination of President Kennedy. The people who engineered the killing, the killing of one of the finest presidents we ever had, are walking around to day. He declares not to do anything about it. Is Unamerican. The Louisiana populace can hardly

be accused of disloyalty. He has, he claims, discovered who killed Kennedy, who organized the plot, and what forces were involved in planning the various steps that led to the assassination. And he's done all this against formidable odds. He has been denounced and ridiculed by such calumnists as Bob Considine, Jim Bishop, and Victor Ricel. The press has for the most part slanted its coverage of his investigation to imply

motives of personal glory and political gain. The government establishment has given him the cold shoulder, and the FBI, which cleared two of his present suspects immediately following the assassination, refused to release its information to him. The truth, according to Garrison, is certain to rock the republic as it gradually unfolds in court. He is convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald was not a trigger man and that Jack Ruby

was the puppet of a more sophisticated master. He's equally sure at the working level of the conspiracy was composed of rabid anti Castro Cuban exiles in league with elements of the American paramilitary right, well, you know, just to comment on that real quick, like, remember, the only anti Castro Cubans involved in the assassination period are Sergei Arcacia and Emilio Santana. That's it. That's it, And both those

guys worked for Marcelo in New Orleans. So no one was there on behalf of anti Castro Cuban's biggest red herring in all of Kennedy. And then when it says exiles in league with elements of the American paramilitary right. That part's accurate too. That part's accurate. Some people put too much emphasis on the far right, the McIntyre crowd,

the California guys and the mill Tiers. Those guys were probably in the know because they knew Lawrence Howard and Lauren Hall and William Seymour and Kerrie Thornley and Warren Reynolds and so. Yeah, the information flowed through those channels, I'm sure. But did they have much of a role in this thing. I'd say not at all, other than

their associations. The concerted establishment effort to confine the events of the assassination to Oswald and Ruby suggests the Garrison thesis a vertically integrated plot, rising step by step into high echelons of government and the military industrial complex. Honorable men did in Caesar drily observes the prosecutor with a fondness for historical metaphor. Thus far, the dramatis personae of

Garrison's terse drama have been wildly disparate. On February twenty second of this year, after preliminary lengthy questioning by the DA's office, and shortly before he was to be arrested by Garrison in charge with conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy. David William Ferry was found dead in his cluttered New Orleans apartment. The second major figure in Garrison's probe is fifty four year old Clay Shaw, retired executive director of the New

Orleans International Trademark, charged with conspiracy by Garrison. He's now awaiting trial. A third individual expected to figure prominently in the Garrison inquiry is Manuel Garcia Gonzalez. The New Orleans DA has come into possession of a photograph taken at Dealey Plaza just before the assassination, which shows several Latin men behind the low picket fence at the top of

the famed grassian Ole. Most Warren Report critics believe one or more shots were fired from the grassyan Ol area, and Garrison thinks Gonzalez is one of the men in this photograph. Gonzalez has disappeared and probably fled the country. All right, So let's examine this real quick, because it's nonsense. M A third individual expected to figure prominently in the Garrison inquiry is Manuel Garcia Gonzalez. Okay, so I've looked

into this Manuel Garcia Gonzalez, and I can't. This is zero connection and other than a loose affiliation amongst the Cubans in New Orleans. I don't know why Garrison was so hell bent on this guy. I should probably do a double back on him. But nowhere does he figure prominently in the storyline other than one of the side characters like Carlos Carroga, like David Pierce Maggire. Although David Pierce Maggiar I have a feeling flew carry Thornley in Mexico.

That's what I am inclined to believe at this point. It's just too much of a coincidence that him, allegedly, oswald Uh, and god Day all got their visas to Mexico City on the same fucking day. You see. This is when I say that they were sloppy. That's exactly what I mean. You don't send three guys in there going on this fucking conspiracy trip to fucking get their vasas on the same day. It's retarded, retarded. So yeah, Gonzales, I don't know why he puts so much effort under

this guy. He's not come up prominently in any of the research that I've done, so but we'll see, and we'll see there's a couple of people in Daly Plaza who I don't know who the fuck they are. There's like a black guy standing in Daily Plaza by the pergola with a little hat on that doesn't look like he belongs there, looks very sophisticated. I don't know who the hell ad is, So let me continue. The New Orleans DA has come into possession of a photograph take

it at Daly Plaza just before the assassination. What photograph is this? I've never heard of this photograph. I've never seen this photograph. It's obviously no longer a photograph. And if there's pictures of them in Daly Plaza before the assassination, which I haven't seen any pictures before the assassination except of the Secret Service car, that's when everything seems to start. Right.

Think that people would be in Daily Plaza and just taking pictures because they were there waiting for the president, right, they would take a couple skyline shots or whatever. But that doesn't seem to have happened in any case whatsoever.

Can anyone out there think of a single photograph that is taken in Daily Plaza prior to the Secret Service car pulling in and all the cars starting to pull in like in the Hughes film and stuff like that, like the Hughes film, and that this seems where all the photographs start, right, the motor kaid is just starting

to come into Daily Plaza. That's where they don't even have photographs of the ambulance that took Jerry bell Knapp to park On hospital, the epileptic, right y epileptic who just got to drink a glass of water and walked out the door, never to be heard from again. So yeah, very interesting. The timing of when all the photography in Daily Plaza starts. You would think somebody would have been there a half hour early and taken one picture. Right, we don't even have that. What does that tell you?

All photographs prior to the motorcade entry into Daily Plaza have been deleted from the world for some reason. All right, of anybody out there knows to the contrary, please let me know. I'm anxious to see a photograph prior to the motorcaide's entry. All right, Oswald and Garrison's book, he was nothing more than a decoy and a fall guy one hundred percent. The next bracketed heading says a guide to the CIA's New Orleans Dave Ferry was gesticulating furiously

as he poured out his scheme triangulation. The availability of exit one man had to be sacrificed to give the other one or two gunman time to escape. Leon Oswald listened impassively. So did Clay Bertrand, A tall, courtly older man with close cropped white hair. Bertrand, smartly attired in a maroon jacket, looked out of place with his carelessly

dress companions in the disarray of Ferri's apartment. This was the scene on or about September sixteenth, nineteen sixty three, as described recently in a New Orleans courtroom by Perry Russo, Jim Garrison's star witness to date, who had been present

in the Ferry apartment on that fateful night. An articulate young insurance salesman for Equitable Life and a graduate of the Jesuit Loyola University, Russo had passed for what is worth, a series of sodium penthethal truth serum tests administered by medical experts. His story was sufficiently impressive to cause a three judge panel to bind over clay Shaw, whom Russou identified as Clay Bertrand for trial in the assassination of the President. Okay, so let's examine a couple of things here.

This is one of the most important and most overlooked incidents in the lead up to the assassination, and the timing is extremely important too. So obviously it's not Oswald, okakerry Thornly. When you go deep into the d tales, and maybe they'll cover it in this article, you'll see that he had he met him a couple of times leading up to this party. When he met him those times,

he had a big, bushy beard. For this party, he had whiskers, which means he had cut off his beard a couple of days before, right, And so then when Russo testifies to the Warren Commission, or maybe it was clay Shaw's trial, maybe it was Klayshaw's trial. Actually, he took a picture of Lee Harvey Oswald and he drew a big beard on him and said, yeah, that's the guy right there. Okay, so it was never Oswald. Oswald never had a beard, and so who had a beard?

And he described him as a bearded beatnik? And who the hell is the only beatnick in the story, and that would be Kerry Thornley. So to me, it's so brutally obvious it was Kerry Thornley at the party, which is mostly exposed through Kerry Thornley's fifty page AFFI David Damn, I feel like a broken record. I've said that like a hundred times. But this is some of the most important stuff. This party, the Perry Russo party, some of

the most important stuff. Once you realize, yes, it's Clay Shaw and David Ferry and Carrie Thornley and most likely Haul Howard and Seymour. The Cubans who were seen there, right, they gave aliases and so this is a possibility that you could have had Thornley and William Seymour in the same place. It's very possible because I'm kind of convinced that the people who were alleged to have been Cubans there would have been Howard and Lauren Hall, and so

this would have been September. I have to double check my calendar and my timeline on William Seymour's travel. He allegedly worked for Beach Welding until mid October, but I don't believe that at all, because there were sightings of him in Los Angeles going under the name of Techs at a time when he was supposed to be at Beach welding, And so that story's bullshit. It's another front job. He's a CIA guy. So where was William Seymour if he wasn't at this party? Also, again, this is speculation

on my part, but it's kind of educated speculation. And the date here, September sixteenth, very important. Why because this coincides with when carry Thorny got back to New Orleans from Whittier, California, where when he was out there he met up at Lauren Hall and Warren Reynolds at the State's Rights party. And he then comes back to New Orleans and he's back September fourth. On his way back in late August and early September, the first couple of days,

he passes through Mexico City. In his second trip to Mexico City, he stopped there and it's not even on the way, it's way out of the fucking way. So he went there for a reason, and it wasn't just to go fucking play highlight or watch highlight in bullfighting. And so I believe the two trips that he made to Mexico City were set ups for the impersonation of Oswald that he did when he went back at Lates

in late September. Right the twenty sixth, he allegedly crosses the border into Mexico and on the twenty seventh, Oswald was still in New Orleans get closing out his PO box from the Wiseberg and Garrison files. So that whole that two or three day period of late September is crucial in determining who was where, because William Seymour was at Odeo's around the twenty seventh, and Oswald allegedly crossed

the border into Mexico City on the twenty sixth. Clearly Carrie Thornley and then Oswald, the person we know is Oswald is actually in New Orleans closing out his PEO box, right, so he didn't he couldn't a crossed the border, and

none of that stuff is obviously not him. So now we have within a two to two day period the twenty sixth and twenty seventh, we can clearly say we have all three of Oswald and his two impersonators in three different places, impersonating Oswald and then Oz the real Oswald in a document that's mostly been scuttled, showing he closed out his po box on either I forget if it was a twenty sixth or probably I think it was the twenty seventh actually, and so, yeah, all this

makes perfect sense to me. All right, where was I? So? Yeah, back to the Perry Russo Perry Russo party. Very important um. Following Faery's rapid fire dissertation, said Russo, the talk switched to escape. Ferry declared in favor of a flight to Brazil with a refueling stop in Mexico, or a more risky hop directly at Cuba. It is a source of puzzlement why Ferry would want to go to Cuba, given

his anti Castro stance. Bertrand disagreed on the grounds that were of the assassination would spread too fast to permit a long flight. Shut up and leave him alone, interjected Leon Oswald, whom Russo said was Lee Harvey Oswald. He's the pilot, A washed up pilot, huffed Bertrand, alluding to Fairi's dismissal from Eastern Airlines for homosexual convictions. From the conversation, Russo deduced that none of the three intended to participate

actively in the assassination. Ferry suggested they should be in public eye on the day of the attempt. He himself would make a speech at a nearby college. Bertrand said he would go to the West coast on business, and Oswald said nothing, so okay. So Ferry suggested they should all be in the public eye on the day of the attempt. He himself would make a speech at a nearby college. Okay. So he ends up at a college Southeastern in Louisiana in Hammond the night of the assassination.

So he's kind of sticking to how he had previously set it up. Right, Let me continue. Clay Shaw was indeed on the West Coast on business on November twenty second. No, he wasn't. We don't know that. We don't know where he was the twenty second, third, or fourth, because he didn't show up on the West coast until the twenty fifth. Well, allegedly on the twenty second he was in San Francisco having a fucking lunch with somebody. He has one alibi

witness out there, But give me break. These guys fabricate fucking witnesses so that you can put no stock into so he didn't show up until the twenty fifth in Portland, I believe it was, and so I'm actively trying to attempt to put him in Dallas, which I'm pretty confident he was, and Dawson has put him in Dallas already, so let me continue. Two weeks previously, his manager at the New Orleans Trademark had written the San Francisco Trademark that Shaw would be passing through on that date and

would like to discuss mutual interests with their executives. At the moment when Kennedy was killed, Shaw was conferring with the San Francisco Men, a Trademark CIA organization. Ferry also had an alibi of sorts. A New Orleans attorney is fairly certain that on Black Friday, the eccentric little Man was in his law office around twelve fifteen pm. Fairy contended he was in New Orleans until late in the afternoon, when he and his two young roommates left on an

impromptu trip to Texas. How they wann't roomates to hunt geese. On the surface, it was a wild goose chase. The trio drove to Houston on Friday to Galveston on Saturday, returned to New Orleans on Sunday, over one thousand miles, but Garrison has witnesses who swear that Ferry spent several hours at a Houston's skating rink waiting by the telephone. It was a curious junket at a curious time, so curious that Garrison, on his own initiative, arrested and held

the three for FBI investigation of subversive activity. Garrison charges only that the machinations in Ferry's apartment set in motion events that culminated in the assassination. What direction the substantive plot may have taken from there is hinted at in the further testimony of Russo. He had met Ferry, he said first four years earlier through the Civil Air Patrol activity,

and frequently was invited to his apartment. There had been a party before the meeting on the evening in question, and Russo had lingered after the rest of the guests. Among the last to leave were several Cubans and military fatigues, two of whom he were called by their first names, Manuel and a name that sounded like Julian. Manuel, Garrison suspects is the missing Manuel Garcia gonzales I don't know about that. We'll see, We'll see. The bizarre quality of

Fairy's life followed him into the death. After being questioned by Garrison, he muttered he did not have long to live. The cause of death, the coroner revealed, had been in embolism at the base of the brain, induced by hypertension.

But a brain embolism can also be caused by a deftly administered karate chop to the neck, and some other people die by karate chop to the neck, a technique which possibly killed Dallas reporter Jim Cothi, who had participated in an enigmatic meeting at Jack Ruby's apartment the night Oswald was murdered. Ramparts November nineteen sixty six. That's him, Jim Coty, an inveterate activist. Fairy solicited funds for Castro in nineteen fifty eight, then bitterly turned against him when

he struck his communist colors. According to former Havana journalist Diego Gonzalez, Tendadera, Faerry flew fire bomb raids and refugee rescue missions to Cuba from Florida in a twin engine Piper Apache owned by Eladio de la A, an ex Baptista official who had escaped to Miami with considerable wealth. Fairry reportedly was paid one thousand to fifteen hundred emission, depending on the risk involved. The caper ended in nineteen sixty one, when US government agents confiscated the Apache and

Ferry headed for New Orleans. On February twenty second, the day Fairry died in New Orleans, del Valla's head was split by a powerful blow with a machete or hatchet, and he was shot over the heart. Miami police, noting that he had been involved in narcotic smuggling, excuse me called in a gangland called it a gangland slang. After the Bay of Pigs, Faery boasted he had taken part in the invasion, and indeed it has come to light that a CIA directed diversionary strike had been launched from

a hidden base in the New Orleans area. The loquacious pilot was openly hostile to President Kennedy for failing to commit American military might against Castro. On one occasion, the speech he was giving before New Orleans Chapter of Military Order World Wars turned into a diatribe against Kennedy. For a double cross of Invasion Force. Of the Invasion Force, several members walked out, and the chairman abruptly adjourned the meeting.

During this period, the conspicuous ferry was frequently noticed by the New Orleans Cuban colony in the company of Sergei Arcacha Smith, local director of the Anti Castro Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front. New Orleans Police intelligence records reflected states at the Washington Post said that the front was a legitimate in nature. It was legitimate in nature and presumably had

the unofficial sanction of the CIA. The Lake Pontatrain waterfront, near Arcacha's home, seems to have become a focus for mysterious meetings. Various Garrison witnesses claimed to have seen ferry there, as well as an exchange of money between Oswald and Shaw. All right, let me comment on that real quick. So the Lake Ponta train training camp, I've read a lot of stuff on it, and none of it is conclusive in any way, none of his firsthand. But what appears

to have happened there is that. Well, let me start with Jerry Hemming. Jerry Hemming said that that camp never got off the ground and they were just kind of planning it when they got shut down. I also read that it was just a warehouse that was storing stuff there that was rated and the FBI took all that stuff. I can find no definitive evidence that there was ever any actual training going on there, and the limited evidence that we do have would indicate that they were planning

for something. There had storage for weapons there, but it never actually had any training going on. So that would draw in to question a lot of the witness stuff,

especially here that says money was exchanged between Shawan and Oswald. Okay, so who would be training here connected to Jerry Hemming and all those guys maybe you know our Trio or notorious Trio Hall Howard Seymour, right, And so that draws into question the sighting here of Oswald and shaw Not to say that I don't believe Oswald and shaw ever interacted. I think they did at some point because of the

statements of Lillian Moratt, but that's another story. So yeah, the Lake Ponche Train can't find really anything definitive on it. If anybody out there can find anything definitive on or names it's associated with people who say they trained out there. Please let me know and we'll continue on. By nineteen sixty three, Arcacha apparently had been deposed as front director for he had moved to Houston in sixty two and was living there at the time of the assassination in

nineteen sixty four. I don't think that's accurate. I don't know if that's accurate. I'll have to check, because I know Garrison tracked him down. He was living in Dallas, and Frank Nagy he was also living in Dallas. A lot of people were living in Dallas, so I'll have to double check on that. But I do know he did live in Houston at some point and he worked

for a hotel there. I had contacted the hotel to see if they had any records on him, and they said they don't have any records, they don't know who to send me to or none of that stuff. So that was a dead end. And the hotel is now that he worked at is now under the ownership of like a preservation society kind of thing, so but it is still there. Let me continue. In nineteen sixty four, he moved to Dallas. Oh, there we go, duh. Sixty four.

He moved to Dallas when Garrison investigators recently sought to question him. He refused to talk without police and assistant DA Bill Alexander present. Why wed we want Bill Alexander present? Interesting connection there, huh? However, Garrison security warrant charging him with conspiring with Ferry and when Gordon Develle to burglarize an explosives depot of the salamberge While Services Company near New Orleans in August of sixty one, our coach is

presently free on Bonn. The strange behavior of Gordon Develle lends still another piquant ingredient to the case. Shortly after being interrogated by Garrison, he hurriedly sold the French quarter bar he owned and left town. I didn't know he owned a French quarter bar. He turned up in McClain, Virginia, headquarters of Army Intelligence and CIA, blasted the assassination probe as a fraud, and noisily submitted to a private light detector test given by a former Army intelligence officer. He

said support that supported his veracity. In Columbus, Ohio, where he was arrested on a fugitive warrant obtained by Garrison, he cryptically stated, I think Garrison will expose some CIA operations in Louisiana and what it called his unpublished account

of how the explosives disappeared. The New Orleans States item claims that Novelle has told several persons that he Ferry Arcacha and several Cubans did not steal the munitions, but transported them to New Orleans at the instructions of their CIA contact just before the Beyepigs invasion in April of

nineteen sixty one. Furthermore, the State's item says Novelle operated a CIA front, the Evergreen Advertising Agency, which prepared cryptographical messages contained in radio commercials for Christmas trees that alerted agents to the invasion date. Novelle, however, has denied being a CIA agent. The mysterious explosive theft dovetailed with another angle in Garrison's investigation. In April nineteen sixty one FBI raid that uncovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and

explosives in a cottage near New Orleans. Garrison's men are seeking a group of Cubans said to have accumulated the cash. Further ciaad or comfort for the paramilitary right is suggested by the role of private eyew Guy Bannister, who with a partner named Hugh Hugh f Ward. Hugh f Ward guys in the chat can you pull up? Hugh f

Ward ran a private sleuthing agency in New Orleans. Both a former FBI official and a former superintendent of New Orleans Police, Banister was noted for his outspoken ultra conservatism. His office, according to a State's Item informant, was one of the drops for the stolen munitions in nineteen sixty three. The ever President David Ferry worked intermittently for him as

an investigator. While researching an article on the Minutemen ramparts January sixty seven, I learned from a defector a Minuteman AID who had access to their headquarter files about an allied group in New Orleans known as the Anti Communist League of the Caribbean. The League was said by the AID to have been used by the CIA and its engineering of the nineteen fifty four overthrow of the leftist ar Benz government in Guatemala. All right, let me pause

for a second. Okay, So the League was used by the CIA and its engineering of the nineteen fifty four overthrow the leftist ar Benz and in nineteen fifty four. Where was that operation being run by It was being run out of Opa Laca. And who was there just the year before? Oh no, it was that year, leaving in January of nineteen fifty four. Leaving Opa Laca in January of fifty four was Robert Oswald. All these same people are all caught up in the same cluster of

intelligence people. So it's wild that anyone would think that Oswald was not connected to intelligence. Wild all right. So the League was said by the AID to have been used by the CIA and its engineering of the fifty four overthrow of leftist Arbenz government in Guatemala. The Minuteman defector said the names of both Banister and Ward appeared in the secret Minutemen files as members of the Minutemen and as operatives of the Anti Communism League of the Caribbean.

Sturgis is connected with this group. Two. He also div that militant anti Castro Cubans were exiles or anti Castro Cuban exiles were prominent in the Minutemen ranks. With these pieces of the puzzle beginning to fit together, Garrison hopes to complete the picture, but he will get no help from Banister and Ward, potential witnesses to the assassination secrets, seemed to have a propensity for dying. In nineteen sixty four, Banister, who drank heavily and was given to wild Spreez, suddenly

died of a heart attack. On May twenty third, sixty five, Ward, a commercial pilot, was at the controls of the piper Aztec chartered by former New Orleans Mayor de LEPs Morrison, when the craft engines sputtering, crashed on a fog shrouded hill near Cuidad, Victoria, Mexico. All aboard were killed. Interesting next section in brackets. The paramilitary operation at Daily Plaza. President Kennedy's murder had all the earmarks of a paramilitary operation.

The Daily Plaza site was tall buildings at one end, at the other end of grassy ole, projecting to within a stone's throw of the roadway, and covered by foliage. It is the opinion of Garrison's investigators and of this writer, that the slowly rolling presidential limousine was trapped in a classic gorilla ambush, with simultaneous fire converging from the knoll

and from multi storied building. This was the triangulation Russo said that David Ferry had talked about a sniper in the rear position to divert the public's attention, while the sniper in front could fire the shot that would do the job. In fact, it was, in fact the frontal

fire that did the dreadful job. The explosive headshot that snapped the president's head backward and literally blew his brains into the air could not have been to the effect of a high velocity rifle bullet fired from the rear. Such bullets pierced cleanly. A nurse at Parkland said that when the doctors attempted a tracheotomy on the President, the damage was so great the tube pushed out the back of his head. Oh oh, interesting was right there For

a second something caught my attention. Notice they were saying that the president's had snapped backward and literally blew his brains into the air. And this is way before anyone ever saw the the Zapruder film, right, So it's interesting that he would say that it was the effect of the nasty hollow nose mercury full fulminate bullet generally known as a dumb dum, which explodes on impact. That's some speculation,

and I don't believe it. They wouldn't. They would have planted one of those then at the goddamn Parkland Hospital, but they didn't. What was planted at Parkland Hospital appointed tip three oh three round, So obviously what was used as fucking knoll appointed tip three h three round from a fucking probably an Enfield three oh three. Duh. This

is like common sense shit. An ex CIA agent who had received paramilitary training from the agency advises that the CIA supplied this type of bullet to anti Castro forces it trained. It has no evidence for that at all, uh, or for the use of that ball, I should say. The first report of the assassination in Dallas Times Herald afternoon addition, before the Warren Commission's three shot magic bullet theory was proclaimed, witnesses said six or seven shots were fired.

A bullet mark on the curb belatedly analyzed by the FBI did not show traces of copper, as would have been the case had the bullet had been the copper jacketed type allegedly fired by Oswald. Quote. There definitely was a shot fired from behind that fence, and since witness sm. Holland referring to the partially concealed picket fence on the

grassy ole. Holland, a crusty old railroader who was standing on the triple overpass toward which the President's limousine was heading, is the rare witness who survived both the bamboozling tactics of the Warren Commission and the Secret Service insistence that he changed his story. Holland's account is complemented by the testimony of the Lately Bowers, who overlooked the parking lot at the rear of the grassy and Ole from his

railroad tower. Bower said he saw two out of state automobiles and Texas automobile apparently equipped with a two way radio, prowling the lot shortly before the assassination. He also noticed two men in the lot near the fence when the shots rang out. They were partially obscured by the trees, but there was something out of the ordinary, a sort of milling around. Jim Garrison agrees that Oswald was no Captain Marvel. The DA says the fatal shots came from

the front. In this context, Oswald's indignant protests while in custody, I didn't kill anybody I'm just a patsy may prove after Garrison finishes to be true, there is scientific evidence tending to support it. The Dallas police made paraffin casts of Oswald's hands and right cheek in order to chemically test for nitrates. Although many common substances can deposit nitrates, the blowback from a gun ordinarily deposits an appreciable amount.

The test showed positive reactions for both hands, a negative reaction for the cheek. Ordinarily, a right handed man who has shot both a pistol and a rifle, as Oswald was accused of doing, would have nitrates on the right hand and cheek. Most likely, the sources of the nitrates on oswald hands was fingerprint ink. He had been finger

and palm printed before the paraffin was applied. Moreover, the FBI subjected the casts to nuclear activation analysis, a relatively new technique so sensitive it can detect a thimbleful of acid in a tank car of water deposits on the casts.

The FBI reported could not be specifically associated with the rifle cartridges, but ballistics expert Cordland Cunningham did not view the results as exculpating Oswald a rifle chamber is tightly sealed, he testified, and so by its very nature I would not expect to find residue on the right cheek of a shooter. The explanation seemed so implausible I contacted doctor Vincent Gwynn of General Atomics in San Diego, who pioneered

the development of the NAA process. He said that he and Raymond Pinker of the Los Angeles Police Crime Lab were also curious about the test and ordered an Italian carcano rifle such as Oswald supposedly fired. They fired the obsolete weapon, which some authorities think is liable to blow up, tested their cheeks. Nitrates from the blowback were present in abundance.

Next section Lee Harvey Oswald. Another component of the Garrison theory is that Oswald was not a dedicated communist at all, but an agent of the CIA who may have been trained at the agency's facility at Atsugi Air Force Base in Japan in nineteen fifty nine. He was a revolutionary looking for a revolution, any revolution, and he found a cause with the CIA sponsored paramilitary right wing planning the

overthrow of Castro. The paramilitary right wing is composed of numerous factions over which the Minutemen exert a loose hegemony. It is cross pollenized with Birchers clanners, and it seems to cut off there. Let me see if it picks up again. I don't know. I don't know if it continues on it says text continued on page twenty four. But then we have a couple other little little snippets which appear to be from a ramparts article also, so I don't know if he's referring back or moving forward

to what. But let's just go ahead and read through what we have next. One says Ferry worked on and off for Banister as an investigator, and the mutual affinity was such that in nineteen sixty two, when Eastern Airlines was in the vein of dismissing Fairy for publicity over alleged homosexual acts, Banister appeared at Miami Miami Hearing and delivered an impassioned plea on his behalf. When Banister suddenly died,

the ex pilot evidently acquired part of his files. When he realized he was a prime suspect in Garrison's probe, Ferry systematically disposed of his papers and documents for the years sixty two and sixty three, but in photocopying the bibliography of a cancer paper he had written at one time he had caged mice in his home on which he experimented with cancer implants, he inadvertently overlapped the bottom portion of notes recording the dispositions, including the notations copies

of bees presumably Banister's microfilm files to Atlanta right wingers. The Banister files were reputed to be the largest collection of anti communist intelligence in Louisiana, and part were sold by his widow to the Sovereignty Commission, a sort of state HUAC, where a Garrison investigator was able to examine them. Banister's filing system was modeled after the FBI's contained files on both friends and foes. The ten and twenty three

classification dealt with Cuban matters. Twenty three DASH five, for example, was labeled Cuman Democratic Republic Front a Revolutionary Front, and ten two oh nine simply Cuban file. There was a main file twenty three Dash fourteen, labeled Shaw file, but someone had completely stripped it before Garrison's man got there. Continues on the somebody one can surmise from the Gordon

Devell episode which follows was the CIA. Novella is wanted by the DA as a material witness in the nineteen sixty one burglary of the sbe Wel Company munitions dump near New Orleans. Subpoenaed by the Grand Jury. Last March, Novelle fled to McLain, Virginia, next door to the CIA complex at Langley, and took a light detector test administered by a former Army intelligence officer, which he boasts to

the press, proved Garrison's probe was a fraud. He then skipped first to Montreal and then to Columbus, Ohio, from where Governor James Rhodes, in one of the most absurd stipulations ever attached to a normally routine procedure, refuses to extrad item unless Garrison agrees not to question him on the assassination. From his Ohio sanctuary, the fugitive critically cryptically asserted that the munition's caper was one of the most

patriotic burglaries in history. When an enterprising reporter took him to a marathon party, Novelle's indiscreet tongue loosened further. According to the state's item article, Novell off repeated account that was that the munitions bunker was a CIA staging point for war material destined for use in the impending Bay

of Pigs invasion. He's quoted as saying that on the day the munitions were picked up, he was called by his CIA contact and told to join a group which was ordered to transport munitions from the bunker to New Orleans. The key to the bunker was provided by a CIA contact. Novelle reportedly said. The others in the CIA group at the bunker were David Ferry, Sergio Kochia Smith, New Orleans delegate to the Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front, and several Cubans.

The munitions, according to his account, were dropped in Novell's office, Ferry's home, in Banister's office storeroom. Okay, then here we go. The article picks up. I don't know how well the order is, but and it says also is rumored to have been tipped the tip off man between the Dallas Police and the Dallas Underworld'm talking about Ruby. Now. Ruby operated his business on a cash basis, keeping no record whatsoever.

A strong indication that Ruby himself was involved in illicit operations of some sort his primary technique in avoiding prosecution was the maintenance of friendship with police officers, public officials, and other influential persons in the Dallas community. Nor did the letter ignore Ruby's affinity for Cuba. In about nineteen fifty nine, Ruby became interested in the possibility of selling war materials to Cubans and in the possibility of opening

a gambling casino in Havana. The pushy entrepreneurs continuing interest in Cuba was discussed. CIA instructed the commission's staffers should consider the possibility of ties between Ruby and others who might have been interested in the assassination of President Kennedy. They specifically mentioned a number of people who thought to know Ruby, including former Havana gambler Lewis J. McWillie, a burchess Iia official, and oilman hl And Lamar hunt. For months,

the CIA was silent. When finally done by the Commission, it simply said that its files contained no information on Jack Ruby or his activities or any link with Oswald. The reply came after the Commission had concluded its deliberation. There is much more to Ruby than meets the eye,

attests one of Garrison's chief Sleuth's Lewis Gervich. Garrison had produced a former Dallas cab driver, Raymond Cummings, who was prepared to testify he drove to drove Oswald to Ruby's Carousel Club once in the company of David Ferryeah I see probably Kerry Thornley once again. There already exists a body of evidence tying Oswald to Ruby. For example, there is Wilburn Walden Bob Litchfield, the Second, who claimed he saw Oswald waiting to see Ruby at the club a

month before the assassination. Lichfield was waiting to see Ruby himself and accurately describe a third man whose presence has been verified. There's also Carol Jarnigan, an attorney reputed to have a photographic memory. In a voluntary statement to the FBI, Jarnigan told of overhearing an ear pricking colloqui between colloquy between Oswald and Ruby in the Carousel Club the night of October fourth, nineteen sixty three. The gist of it was that Oswald was to be hired to assassinate Texas

Governor John Connolly with a rifle from a high building. Oswald, I'm sorry, Bobby Kennedy had clamped down on racket activity in Chicago, and Castro had ousted the American gamblers from Cuba. The reasoning was that if the straight laced Connolly could be eliminated, Texas, which is right next to Mexico, could be opened up and there would be money for everybody. Jarnigan's testimony was discounted by the Warran Commission, largely on the strength of a lie detector test given by D. A.

Henry Wade. The result, claimed Wade, was that Jarnigan was sincere, but his story was fanciful, a determination well beyond the capacity of a polygraph. Ruby's gangster links are well established, and his connection with one Paul Rowland Jones is a story in itself. Jones averred that he had been introduced to Ruby in Chicago in the late nineteen forties by several syndicate hoods, and later got to know Jack and his sister Eva, who ran the Singapore Club in Dallas,

quite well. He had come to Dallas as an emissary of the mob to negotiate a piece of the action. He approached then Sheriff Steve Guthrie, an obscure lieutenant on the Police force George Butler to arrange for protection. The two pretended to play along and then sprung a trap on Jones and charged him with bribery. Butler became a hero of sorts and was tapped to assist the Kafoffer Committee in its nineteen fifties racket hearings. But Jones told the FBI believes Butler was at first in ernst and

wanted to pay off. Wanted to pay off, desisting only when he learned that Texas Rangers were wise to the negotiations. Butler a still living lieutenant working out of the Juvenile Bureau. The assignment seemingly permits him leeway for his activities as the self professed leader of extreme right wing elements on

the force. In nineteen sixty one, while in rural Midlothian, Texas, to make an anti communist speech, he offered Penn Jones Junior, the scrappy editor of the Midlothian Mirror, the opportunity to print a statewide newspaper under the auspices of the ku klux Klan. He boasted. Jones said that one half of the police force belonged to the KKK. He frequently escorts

hl Hunt to various public engagements. It was Lieutenant George Butler who was in overall charge of the transfer of Oswald on November twenty fourth, and who gave the all clear to bring the prisoner into the basement. Major hint, right there, Lieutenant George Butler was in charge of the overall transfer of Oswald and who was Jack Ruby's longest running friend in Dallas, Lieutenant George Butler. So there you go.

There's the whole basement conspiracy in a nutshell. Early in nineteen fifty nine, when Castro came to power, Ruby looked covetously at Cuba. He made overtures to sell surplus jeeps to the Cuban premiere and tried to wrangle a letter of introduction from a known Castro partisan in Houston. Late in nineteen fifty nine, he visited Gambler Lewis mcwilli and Havana on what he later called up purely social trip. While there, he boasted to at least two US citizens,

and he was in with both sides. Most prominent of the anti castrotes, whose friendship he claimed was Orlando Massferer, a Batista henchman. Ruby's Cuba interests It's kind of funny because Orlando mass For was the same name given by Lauren Hall as a friend of his when asked about the odio stuff. So Lewis McWillie and Jack Ruby have a mutual friend with Lauren Hall. Kind of interesting, huh. Remember Lauren Hall worked in Batista's army, I think, or

was it Castro's army. He worked in Castro's army, so he probably knew these guys from the Cuba stuff that was going on in the late fifties. Ruby's Cuba interest in crime syndica connections converged in the testimony of Nancy Perrin Rich, a fast living young lady four times around

the marriage cycle and a one time police informant. In June sixty two, she arrived in Dallas on the heels of her then husband Robert Perrin, who at various times had been a bodyguard to top hoodlums, a narcotic smuggler, and a gun runner to Franco and in Clump's ferry, desperately studied medicine to try to halt the process. Oh so it looks like it jumps around here again. What pages this? Now? We're on fifty two on before oh twenty seven. Okay, so this thing's jumping around something. It

must be talking about his hair. A fairy desperately studied medicine to try to halt the process until his body was entirely devoid of hair. One speculation is that he was moonlighting and suffered a psychological reaction to exposure to the extreme altitudes required for clandestine flights. Chinese national listen to this people. Very important Chinese nationalist YouTube pilots reportedly

have suffered the same hair loss phenomenon. One of Fairry's covert tasks in New Orleans area was to drill small teams in guerrilla warfare. One of his young proteges has revealed that he trained some of his Civil Air Patrol cadets and Cubans and formed them into five man small weapons units. This under the auspices of the Marine Corps

and State Department. Coupled with this the information from another former protege that Ferry confided he was working for the CIA recruiting Cubans at of Castro's prisons, and on one occasion was called to Miami so that the CIA could test him to see if he was the type of person who would who told his business to anybody. In a speech before the Military Order of World Wars in New Orleans in late sixty one, Ferry related that he had trained pilots in Guatemala for the Bay of Pigs

and professed bitter disappointment that they were not used. Clay Shaw, and international trade official with top level contacts in Latin America and Europe, would have been a natural target for CIA recruitment. Gordon Novelle, who was acquainted with Shaw, was quoted by the State Department or by the State's Item as venturing that Shaw may have been asked by the CIA to observe the traffic of foreign commerce through New Orleans. More persuasive is Shaw's membership on the board of directors

of a firm called Centre Mondial Commercial in Rome. According to the newspaper pas A Serrah of Rome and Le d'uvoir of Montreal, among others. To the foreign press, CMC was an obscure but well financed firm that was ousted from Italy by the police because it was suspected of being a CIA front. It transplanted its operations to the more friendly climate of Johannesburg, South Africa, where it still functions.

The same group that incorporated CMC also set up a firm called Permandex Corporation in Switzerland, but that company was dissolved by the Swiss government when it was proved to be a conduit for funds destined for the secret Army organization the oas a group of right wing French officers

dedicated to keeping Algeria French by force of arms. The composition of CMC group with which Shaw was associated is of more than cursory interest, since it includes a former US intelligence officer now an executive of the Bank of Montreal, the publisher of the neo Nazi national Zeitgung of Germany, Prince Getier Batafora, an Italian industrialist related by marriage to

Hitler's finance minister Halmar Shocked. Just a side note, Helmar Shocked appeared on a talk show with Marguerite Oswald Let me continue, and the lawyer to the Italian royal family and secretary of the Italian Neo Fascist Party. Through his attorney, Shaw has stated he joined the board of CMC directors in nineteen fifty eight at the insistence of his own board of directors of the International trademark of New Orleans.

That's a very interesting piece of information. On August first, sixty three, the front page of the State's Item carried two news stories which Garrison assert symbolized the bitter end of the paramilitary rights tolerance of John F. Kennedy. A treaty signing set on Monday was the lead to one story disclosing that the test Ban Treaty was about to become reality and that a NATO warsaw Block Non Aggression

Act was in the wind. Explosives Cash home lent to Cuban says owner's wife announced the lead to another story telling of an FBI raid on a military training site in Arms Cash on the north side of Lake ponttrain O Here we Go. Agents had seized more than a ton of dynamite, twenty one hundred pound bomb casings, fuses, napalm ingredients, and other war materials. See it doesn't say anything about anybody being arrested, doesn't say anything about anybody

being there or anyone had done any training. Just says the stuff was stored there, which I think is kind of the case the Whipshaw Developments. Kennedy's patent determination to affect a reproachment with the communist nation, on the one hand, is cracked down under the Neutrality Act on anti Castro paramilitary groups, on the other triggered a rage against the president that would find vent in his assassination. The true nature of the group rated at Lake Ponttrain was not

evident from the story. The FBI announced no arrests, and the wife of the property owner, Missus William J. Mcclaney William J. Mcclaney, guys in the chat can you pull that up? Gave out the cover story that the premises had been loaned out to a newly arrived Cuban named Jose Warez as a favorite of friends, Jose Warez, let's look that up too. Mclaney had been well known as a gambler associated with the Tropicana Hotel in Havana before

being ousted by Castro in nineteen sixty. According to information leaked to Garrison by another government agency, the FBI had in fact arrested eleven men then quietly released them. Among those in the net was Acelo Pedro and Morris, believed to be former Baptista official who slipped out of Cuba in nineteen sixty. Also caught was Richard Lotchley Junior, one

of the founders of the Minutemen. Lotchley, who possessed a federal license to manufacture weapons in Collinsville, Illinois machine Shop, was arrested again in nineteen sixty four. Treasury investigators posing as agents of South American Country trapped him in a deal to sell a huge quantity of illicit automatic arms.

The others arrested were American adventurers in Cuban exiles. Garrison believes that the assassination team at Daily Plaza included renegade Minutemen operating without the knowledge of the group's central headquarters. Freelance terrorism has played Minutemen national coordinator Robert Depew since the organization's inception, and there have been several aboardive assassination

schemes hatched by individual cliques. For example, in nineteen sixty two, a Dallas extremist using the pseudonym John Morris was given money by a Minutemen clique at the Liberty Hall or the Liberty Mall in Kansas City to subsidize the sniper slaying of Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The plan called for Morris to escape in a plane flown by a texasman, but Depew got wind of it and aborted it.

In a Cuban exile close to Guy Bannister told him that in ninety sixty two who Minuteman Banister seriously discussed putting poison in the air conditioning ducks in the Havana Palace and killing all the occupants. The latest plot surface was formulated in Dallas in September nineteen sixty six. Its target was Stanley Marcus of the Nieman Marcus Department Store, a pro United Nations liberal who somehow managed to thrive in rigidly conservative Dallas. Ooh, I think he was the

one who was married to Elizabeth Forsling Harris. I think Stanley Marcus was married to Elizabeth Forsling Harris. At some point, according to an informant who was present, several Minutemen decided to ambush Marcus outside of Dallas because another assassination in Dallas would be too much. Again, there was a leak and the plan fell through. However, as the Warren Report might phrase it, such schemes established a propensity to kill

on the part of the radical right. Minutemen has become an almost generic term for the paramilitary right as far as and far from homogeneous movement. Some elements are driven primarily by and then it cuts off again and it jumps around again. So all right, this looks like a good place to break for the day. We'll pick up. We will pick up here, probably tomorrow, because I'm really enjoying this stuff, and that will do it for me today. Guys, if you haven't picked up my book yet, please go

pick up my book. I don't really have anything on the agenda except the new book I'm working on should be out sometime in February, and that's gonna do it. Thanks, guys.
