The Son of Devil

Send us a text We are very glad to do this episode so that we never have to see or talk about this movie again. From 2018, it's The Son of Devil. Gora finds a book of black magic that he uses to slaughter men who wronged him at a job interview. This movie is about 3 hours long, and so many of the scenes are dragged out too far. There is dialogue, but you get music over those scenes instead. You don't even find out until halfway through why he's killing people. It's a mess, and not in a good way....

Massacre Mafia Style

Send us a text With this episode, we finish our coverage of Duke Mitchell movies with the other movie he wrote, directed, and starred in, 1974's Massacre Mafia Style. Mimi (Duke Mitchell,) a Mafia kingpin's son, tries to take over Los Angeles by killing everyone in his way. Yes, this movie is a rough watch. There is bad acting, very racist dialogue, and lots of murders (with a body count around 30.) Duke Mitchell uses Mafia stories he'd heard for some of those scenes, so they are bloody, but bel...

Almighty Thor

Send us a text For this episode, we cover the worst Thor movie we've ever seen. With a 1.7 on IMDb, starring Richard Grieco as Loki and Kevin Nash as Odin, we give you Almighty Thor. Thor battles Loki for the Hammer of Invincibility and the survival of Earth. Greg really hated this movie, especially after looking into all the mythology they got horribly wrong. Thor is whining and crying through most of it. Plus, Thor uses swords and guns. GUNS! No seriously, Thor uses guns! It's awful. Will you ...

Wings Hauser: A Tribute

Send us a text Upon learning about the passing of Wings Hauser, it took us about 2 seconds to decide we needed to do an episode in his honor. We have been in awe of him since before starting the podcast, which is why he was our first episode, and every season premiere since. We discuss all the work we've seen him in, when he made us laugh, when he gave us comfort, and when he was just Wings being Wings. This is a somber episode, as we are sad, but we do have some laughs about the memories. RIP M...

What If I'm Gay?

Send us a text We have a guest! This month, we are joined by Greg's fiance, Erica, to discuss the 1987 afterschool special, What If I'm Gay?, starring Evan Handler, Gabrielle Carteris, and Ed Marinaro. A popular high school student comes to terms with his sexuality. Despite the many uses of the cigarette word, the special handles the subject fairly well, and in under an hour! It even keeps you guessing who is gay until the reveal about halfway through. Even though it is progressively discussed, ...

Shark Encounters of the Third Kind

Send us a text Nothing says we covered a Mark Polonia movie like glitches during the recording that we decided not to remedy. Ignore them and just listen to us discuss our joyful viewing of 2020's Shark Encounters of the Third Kind. Aliens come to earth to take over using sharks, as well as to eliminate previous test subjects. Mark Polonia says, "Continuity is limiting." That philosophy is widely apparent in this movie. The water shots are all over the place. There's a head that looks like no on...

The Last Precinct

Send us a text Welcome to the premiere of season 4! This year we begin with a very rare piece from Wings Hauser, a short-lived TV show from 1986 called The Last Precinct. The cast also includes Adam West, Keenan Wynn, Ernie Hudson, James Cromwell, and Rick Ducommun. Precinct 56 is the last precinct for these eccentric officers who are always butting heads with their superiors to keep from getting disbanded. Since this show has 8 episodes, we couldn't cover everything like we usually do. There ar...

The Fear

Send us a text Welcome to our season 3 finale! Thank you everyone for 600 downloads! For this month's episode, we talk about a dummy and his senior thesis. Oh, and there's a life-sized wooden guy, too. A group of college seniors go to a cottage for fear therapy, and discover a wooden sculpture named Morty as they face their fears. Everyone in this has serious boundary issues. Troy and Leslie's backstory is extra gross. The soundtrack is awful and much too loud. Morty is probably the best charact...

Gone with the Pope

Send us a text In episode 3 of last season, we covered a movie starring Duke Mitchell. If you heard it, you know we were not kind. For this month's episode, we apologize for some of that as we talk about a movie he wrote, directed, and starred in called Gone with the Pope. Paul (Duke Mitchell) is hired to do a hit, and uses the money to fund his own plan to kidnap the Pope for ransom. This movie has its issues. It gets weird and has some racist dialogue. But it was filmed in the mid-70s, so that...

Bloodfist 6: Ground Zero

Send us a text This month we cover 24ish of our "experiences" with one movie, 1994's Bloodfist 6: Ground Zero. A military courier must save a nuclear launch site from terrorists. Of all the Bloodfists, we chose this one for all the things that irritate Greg. From the rabbits, to the gun use inside, to the ineptitude of the military, to the obvious copying of Die Hard, there's a lot to discuss. The tin garbage can deserves an acting credit. Will you stay clean, or will you soak in this Corpse Tub...

The Children

Send us a text Thank you to everyone for over 500 downloads! Congrats to Greg on his engagement! Thanks to anyone who watched our little film, Night of the Corpse Tub! And we have another announcement we reveal as well! In this episode, we talk about the 1980 movie The Children, and disclaimer, we mention quite often our feelings about children in general. A radioactive leak turns kids into atomic zombies. These children are much too happy while they burn their parents alive. Sheriff Billy is ou...

Night of the Zodiac

Send us a text Welcome to our second "live" episode! You can tell by the sounds of the birds and puppies throughout the episode. It doesn't hinder us as we discuss 2022's "Night of the Zodiac", a movie that was filmed in Detroit. A man is contacted by the Zodiac to be his protege. We actually like this movie. It's bloody, funny, gross, and ridiculous. It's SOV, so it looks old, even though it isn't. It's a true homage, including cameos by Mark Polonia and Tim Ritter. It's a rare Corpse Tub exper...

Human Zoo

Send us a text For this month's episode, we are discussing a movie we swore we'd never watch again. It's 2020's Human Zoo, or The Human Zoo, according to the movie itself. Robert Carradine plays the Producer. No one else is significant. Contestants compete for one million dollars by living in 8x8 cells on a 24/7 livestream reality show called Solitary Confinement. Our sole purpose for this episode is to keep people far away from this movie. Seriously. It's boring. It's pointless. At the end of i...

American Poltergeist

Send us a text This month we celebrate 5 years of "experiences" together! To commemorate, we go back to almost our very beginning, the second movie we ever watched together, 2015's American Poltergeist. Five college kids move into a house with a sinister history. This movie tries to convince us Lizzie Borden was six feet tall with red hair, and that her house is now a mansion with a pool, jacuzzi, 2 saunas, and a guest house. It also tries to be scary. It fails on all accounts. Will you stay cle...

Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things

Send us a text This month we talk about 1972's Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things, which stars Alan Ormsby, who has writing credits that include Popcorn and Cat People, and is directed by Bob Clark, who directed Black Christmas and A Christmas Story. None of those facts help this movie. A theater group goes to an island to stay the night and raise the dead. Seriously, who signs on with a theater group who plans to raise the dead? That's the burning question through all of this, from the bl...

The Nest

Send us a text For this episode, we talk about what is probably the grossest movie we've ever seen, 1987's The Nest. Meat eating roaches attack a small fishing village. How gross is this movie? So much so that we say 'gross' approximately 33 times. You could make it a drinking game! We audibly squirm as we talk about roaches in a toilet tank, invading a diner, eating a chef, and appearing everywhere else possible. Roach Cat and Roach Dad are the only slight relief. Will you stay clean, or will y...

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie

Send us a text We did not choose the movie for this episode because it is bad. It's really not. We chose it for the zombies! From 1974, it's Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, or The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, or Breakfast at the Manchester Morgue, depending where you find it. A couple is accused of a rash of murders by a sergeant who refuses to believe it's actually being committed by zombies. This movie has really spooky sound effects and a lot of gore. That's not the best part. It's the zombies...

Church of the Damned

Send us a text We can't deny how excited we are about this month's episode. Maybe you've heard us talk highly about our appreciation of Polonia Brothers movies, but with this episode, we get to fully gush about Mark and John Polonia's first movie, Church of the Damned! A satanic cult goes on a killing spree, and two cops try to stop them. It's Mark! It's John! It's Todd Michael Smith! It's Matthew Satterly! These teenagers got a camera and made a movie! It's gory, it's amateur, and it's poorly m...

Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time

Send us a text Welcome to season 3! Once again, we are starting the season celebrating a work from Mr. Wings Hauser. From 1991, Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time stars Marc Singer as Dar, Wings Hauser as Arklon, and has a brief appearance by Robert Z'Dar (Eric in Grotesque) as Zavic. Some screenplay credits go to Ken Hauser, an alias of Wings. Dar must travel to Earth to stop Arklon from using a neutron detonator to take over his home world, Arok. We go on a bit longer than usual in this...

Trucks

Send us a text After a long delay, we finally have our season finale ready, which is Trucks, from 1997. It has a few stars, but we recognize a young Brendan Fletcher, who plays Logan, from Blubberella, where he played Nathaniel. Also, the ill-fated mailman, Terence Kelly, made an appearance in American Gothic as the curiously laughing psychiatrist. Trucks become sentient and trap a group of people at a truck stop. Yes, this is from a Stephen King story. Is it Maximum Overdrive or Christine? Hard...

The Being

Send us a text This month we cover The Being, which contains an Oscar winner, a Laugh-In legend, a munchkin, and a confusing monster. A mutated creature wrecks havoc on Pottsville, Idaho. We don't know how said Being gets around so quickly. We don't know if it's one or many. We don't know how it oozes through car radios. What we do know is we watched this movie so you don't have to. Mountaintop Motel Massacre

Send us a text For this month's episode we talk about 1983's Mountaintop Motel Massacre, a lovely movie with insects, rodents, and a surprisingly skillful murderer. A woman gets out of a mental hospital, kills her daughter, and then many other people who were lucky enough to stay at this deteriorated motel. Somehow Evelyn, the elderly killer, is stealthy and moves heavy bodies with ease. We wish for more scenes of the Rev and Melvin, and much less of the surviving "hero," Al. Also, how does Vern...

Cotton Candy

Send us a text We watched a Ron Howard movie, and not a good one. Cotton Candy, a TV movie from 1978, stars Charles Martin Smith as George, Clint Howard as Corky, and Rance Howard as Mr. Bremmercamp. It was also written by Ron and Clint Howard. A down on his luck high school senior starts a band. The villain band is Rapid Fire, and they somehow have an entourage, even though they always play a cover of "I Shot the Sheriff." The lead singer, Corbin, is a jerk. You do root for Cotton Candy, but yo...

Terror at Bigfoot Pond

Send us a text We did a "live" episode! Well, kinda. The hosts of Corpse Tub finally hung out in person, with Greg's girlfriend as our audience. That's us doing the applause this time, and Mari's a little drunk, which helps as we discuss the horrendously bad Terror at Bigfoot Pond. A group of friends go camping and are attacked by a Bigfoot. There are boobs, literally and physically. It was all filmed with GoPros (cool?) The Bigfoot is a little too smart and definitely corny. The real terror is ...

Warbirds

Send us a text This month we talk about a 1989 movie called Warbirds, a sorry excuse for a movie that tries to rip-off Top Gun. It's about a covert mission that goes bad. Then another one does. Then they succeed. Sure, that sounds interesting, but it really isn't. Of all the things that bug us in this movie, it's the music and the shirtless Costello that stands out the most. Don't worry, though, because we mention plenty more reasons for this movie to be avoided. Will you stay clean, or will you...

The Mermaid's Curse

Send us a text For this episode, we cover our many problems, starting with the title, with The Mermaid's Curse, a 2019 ITN production. Jake is writing a story about disappearances in the area when he falls for a siren. Yeah, siren. Mermaid is in the title, but there are no mermaids in the movie. There is not even a mention of mermaids! Or a curse! We talk about that a lot, about as much as we talk about how Jake is an idiot. Will you stay clean, or will you soak in this Corpse Tub? The Mermaid's...

Pulgasari

Send us a text In this episode, we take a break from the awful by discussing Pulgasari, a movie with a sorted past that we actually enjoyed. A creature fights with villagers to stop an evil king. Director Shin Sang-ok and his wife, Son Hui Chang, who plays Ami, were kidnapped by Kim Jong-Il in the late 70s to make propaganda films. They escaped in 1986, shortly before this movie was finished. Although we contemplate possible messages Shin inserted into this movie, we mostly gush over the adorabl...

Amityville: Mt. Misery Rd.

Send us a text For this episode, we went above and beyond for you, dear listeners, by watching 2018's Amityville: Mt. Misery Rd. It is called that, even though they never mention Amityville in the movie. Directed, produced, edited, etc., etc., etc., by Chuck Morrongiello and Karolina Morrongiello, who play Charlie and Buzi, respectively, it follows a couple of self-described "ghost enthusiasts" who go to Mt. Misery Rd. to look for orbs and ghosts. This movie is the biggest "look at my cool stuff...

Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla

Send us a text Welcome to our newest episode. This time we throw you into the travesty of Bela Lugosi Meets A Brooklyn Gorilla. Two performers on a USO tour get stranded on an island, are found by a tribe, and tussle with a mad scientist on the island. Yes, Bela Lugosi is in this horror/comedy, but the real "stars" are the Duke Mitchell and Sammy Petrillo, a couple of Martin and Lewis impersonators that make this movie unwatchable. Sammy (as Sammy) and Duke (as Duke) fill the movie with obvious ...

Land Shark

Send us a text In this episode, we confess we don't just watch bad movies, we truly watch the worst we can find, because we discuss our experience with Mark Polonia movies that began with his 2017 movie, Land Shark. Two researchers hunt down genetically mutated sharks that escaped their lab. Mark Polonia wrote and directed, as well as cameoed on purpose, and by accident. There is also an appearance by one of his regulars, Jeff Kirkendall. Sorry that we enjoyed this. It is not good by any standar...
