Episode description

Today we are joined by one of Kath’s nearest and dearest, Jet Dwyer. Jet is a Melbourne based artist, curator and educator. Their most recent work “Queer Archival” was described as an archive of portraiture and video footage of Melbourne’s queers, inspired by the historic preservation work of the Australian Queer Archives (AQua), at the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda. Kath would describe them as “one of the smartest people I know” .  They sit down to chat about Queer visibility sometimes being a trap, explore the nieces** of transitioning, representation of trans folk in the media as well as many tangents about feelings vs thinking… think of it like those chats you have in the smokers with her bestie on a night out. Bootleg therapy!  Episode resources:  Find Jet Instagram: @jet.jpeg___ Relevant Article: https://www.vice.com/en/article/v7b8ey/trans-visibility Find Kath Instagram: @kathebbs TikTok: @kathebbss
