Todays conversation is soft but one I think we need to casually have more often. It's important to celebrate all the ways in which people come to their sexual identity. Many of us figure out our queerness in those early stages of development - maybe childhood or during adolescence. But, what if your path to queerness came to you as a surprise? Sometimes the conversation can lead to possible pressure for people to just know and know young and never change. As Kath sat through many casual conversations at the gay bar about this, with those in community that feel like their journey isn’t valid because the struggle wasn't there, they thought it would be helpful to have a candid chat about it publicly. Because some people don't know they are queer until they find themselves randomly attracted to someone of the same gender and that is okay.
