This mindwandering can stop us from keeping our attention in the present moment. We spend a great deal of time and energy trying to control this incessant chatter. But, according to Dr. Moshe Bar, we can harness the default activity in our brains and use it to our benefit. Dr. Bar is an internationally renowned cognitive neuroscientist. He the former director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital.
