Dillard has to its credit, a former Louisiana poet laureate in Brenda Marie Osbey and a Pulitzer Prize winner in poetry in Jericho Brown who was a student of Dr. Mona Lisa Saloy. She is a Conrad N. Hilton Endowed professor of English, an author and a folklorist. On this episode, Dr. Saloy talks about poetry's benefits and why it touches and inspires us in so many ways.
