Episode description

We’re talking about Steel this week! Eddie kicks off the show by talking about the Eads Bridge in St. Louis, Missouri. He breaks down why it was a critical project for the steel industry. Also, we talk about why they walked an Elephant across it as a PR stunt! Our guest this week is Alex Morales, who is a Structural Steel Specialist with AISC (The American Institute of Steel Construction.) He has a long history of working with designers and integrating it into structures all over the United States. He also dives into how sustainable steel really is and breaks down some of the misconceptions around it! Full disclosure, we make our living off of steel. So we LOVE this material!
