Meet Whitney West, Vice President Operations at The Commencement Group, consumer turned investor, REI for 4 Doors Properties, host of the ATL InvestHER Meetup and owner of Intern Cape Town. After being furloughed from her job due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Whitney started looking for investment opportunities with a few friends in Atlanta, Georgia. She described herself as a passive participant during these outings, one who was expanding her knowledge of the rental industry while shadowing others. Then West decided to get involved in real estate herself in order to replace her previous form of income while putting her new wealth of investment knowledge to use.
