Hello again, Welcome to Connosher's Corner on Beezy. I'm Jordan Rich and joining me today to talk about wine is the man himself, Ken Hoggins of Ken'swineguide dot Com. We talk about zinfandel in the winter, but there's also zinfandel in the summer, and you've got some winners for us.

Speaker 2

Yeah, and the twenty twenty two vintage in California had lots of challenges with some heat spikes, but there are some spectacular reds Infidels that came through from that vintage. And I have two winners to share with your listeners. So first one's the twenty twenty two morrits In zinfidel from the Dry Creek Valley forty seven dollars ninety three points.

It's a medium bodied, round, smooth, very fresh. Panel really liked the spice, plum and black pepper flavors there, little marion berry, some black cherry cola in there.

Speaker 3

Dusty Tannon's linger for some time benefits from a little bit of aeration, but it would pair perfectly with a duck cassu.

Speaker 1

Lit, Yes, of course it would. How about a second zinfandel next.

Speaker 2

Ups ninety five plus point winner from the twenty twenty two vintage from the Russian River Valley. This is from Blimmerick Lane Winery. They are a fantastic ESTs infidel producer. This one's the Mathe Vineyard goes for sixty four dollars. Second year in a row that this wine from this vineyard impressed the tasting panel. Medium body, nicely balanced, plush, smooth, the silk, gentle, assiiberry and stone dust flavors in there.

Some black raspberry fine tannins drift away nicely. It's very food friendly and an impressive zeen that you compare with a filet.
