Hello and welcome. This is Connoisseur's Corner and of course a big week coming up Independence Day. And joining me is Ken Hoggins of Ken's Wine Guide with some suggestions for your Fourth of July bash. Ken.

Speaker 2

Yeah, we got a.

Speaker 3

Rose and a red wine that are easy to enjoy and be perfect for your Fourth of July gigs that are coming up. So we'll start with the twenty twenty four solet Vin bonta rose for seventeen dollars. Mainly made from grenache and sarrah and sin so listeners will find it to be balanced around, slightly viscous. There's some mild grapefruit and lime flavors in here, with some white pepper and stony minerality. Finish his dry flavors and acidity lingered nicely.

Speaker 2

I would pair this very good and refreshing rose with the beach this summer. Serve it slightly chilled with food, put it with some steam muscles.

Speaker 1

All right, let's do another one for the fourth.

Speaker 3

Recently had a tasting of Colonial spirits and actin and we had the mcprice Meyers twenty twenty three right hand man, Sarah.

Speaker 2

This is part of their heart hard working line. Of wines.

Speaker 3

It's a lot of wine for the money, which is only twenty one dollars scored at ninety points. Medium, body balanced around concentrated robusts, some BlackBerry, black olive flavors in their little black liquorice and black pepper finishes with some dry and dusty tanneins that build up and stick around for some time. But I would decant this a little bit crowd pleasing. It will be, and you compare it with some marinated steak tips over the weekend.
