Episode description

Jaime Carden-O’Brien is a licensed professional counselor who saw the need for strength and confidence to be learned at a young age. She is the founder of the Free To Be Movement, a wellness studio for girls whose mission is to create experiences that invite self-acceptance, self-love, and empowerment in young women.

Low self-esteem and lack of confidence start at a young age and 1 in 4 girls suffer from depression, eating disorders, cutting, and other emotional disorders. The Free To Be Movement provides programs to equip young women in elementary, middle, and high school with tools to address obstacles they face every day including how to make and keep positive friendships, learning to accept and love your body, how to deal with and overcome bullying, stress management, and self-care.
