This is going to open up more than just a murder case, it appears to me from what he's saying. He keeps saying there's a lot of other things that are involved in this too. The detective told... My cousin, this is small fish in a very big thing. Like a very, like way bigger thing. So that is kind of in line with what you were saying.
¶ Introduction to Nada's Unsolved Case
Welcome back to Connect with me, Jonathan Mark. We had to do a little 180 on you this past week where I brought Janice on to do a really unbelievable reading with her son, Ryan, that passed away. And I just want you guys to know, this is the majority of the readings that I do, helping everyday people. Now, don't forget that I work with true crime and law enforcement also.
very often, but my everyday life is people like Janice. And the response that we have gotten from that is unbelievable. So we will be throwing more people like that in the mix of the show. Don't be fooled. It's still a true crime show. Now, I want to bring on someone who unfortunately had to deal with a horrible incident and we gave some help. Guys, let's welcome Nada. My name is Nana Barish. We lost our cousin about two years ago, two years in a month or so. And we...
Don't know what happened. When we know what happened, we don't know who did it and why this all transpired. My family is too sensitive. We're also Middle Eastern, so they deal with things differently. And they haven't really been able to, they haven't had the ability internally to do anything about it. I have asked about whether it's a PI or whatever it may be.
And they're still just kind of frozen in time. I don't think they have really accepted it. So I did a lot of the stuff when it came to, you know, at the time with the funeral and all that stuff. So I was able to do that for them. it still bothers us that they didn't catch who it was and all that stuff. So I listen to podcasts all the time. New podcast popped up. I listen to true crime a lot.
as soon as i heard you and it just like gives me chills listening to your episodes i've heard you on your own podcast and on demois on do you forget demois yeah yeah yeah And I only listened to your three. I think it's only three. Those are the ones I could find. But only three that I listened to of her podcast only because you were on it.
And it was just like giving me chills. I was driving like a road trip and I was just like bawling. I'm like, how is this possible? This is like a... magical person and i was like well maybe maybe i can just like throw in an email maybe you never know small chance small chance you know so i was just like so i was really excited when your team got back to me and
Here we are. I'm very nervous, but... No, no, don't be. Don't be. And I'm really appreciative of you saying that. And I'm sure Dumois is too also because she has been such a big supporter with everything that I do. And I'm sure...
¶ Chilling Revelations From Beyond
She's going to be super stoked to hear this. Yes. I will start and I see someone who's coming through. So I'm assuming it's your cousin who you're mentioning. Okay. All right, well, I don't want to mispronounce his name. It's a P name. I don't want to mispronounce his name. So this is what he's showing me, and I don't know if he's being...
quite like literal about it. You ever hear of like home invasion drive-bys type of thing when someone's in their home and they just light up a house and like light up someone? That's what he's showing to me. I don't know if he's being like, I don't know if he's exaggerating or not with like.
the cause of his passing, kind of what happened. But what he's also saying to me too, and he needs you to know this because he's, who's the other P name in his family? Because he's saying there's another P name that he wants you to give a big hug and kiss to. Oh, okay. That's his sister. Because he wants you to give her a big hugging kiss. Okay. So I want to ask you this because this is what he's showing to me.
Was he hanging around people that weren't fantastic? Do you know? Yeah. Because that's what he keeps. He keeps, and I use this term for a couple times when I do cases, but he keeps saying it's the company he keeps. And what he's also saying is... The people that are the closest to you at times could be your biggest enemies is what he's showing to me. And he's pointing at you and he's smiling, saying, you know.
Exactly what I'm talking about, because what he's saying to me, it's the people that he was hanging out with, the people that he was the closest to or who he thought was the closest to. He keeps basically saying that it's like knowing someone's routine, knowing where someone... lives, knowing where they're going to be. And it wasn't just one person. And I do hope because he's...
he's saying persons, like he's naming people. So it's not just one person. He's saying there's a group of people, maybe one person pulled the trigger, but there was a group of people. And what he's also saying to me too, is that. He keeps saying this because he's laughing, saying, I'm going to say this and you're a very strong person he's showing to me. He's saying you need to be careful when you investigate this stuff on your own because he's saying the people who he hung out with aren't...
good people. And he's saying like, do you know people are very connected also? Like people know like certain people. He's just saying that he just wants you to be very careful with that because he's saying that these people are... He's going like this, saying like a little dangerous to me. He keeps going like that. He got involved with the wrong people, is what he keeps repeating to me. Like he got involved with the wrong people.
¶ The Premeditated Act and Quick Investigation
This must have happened at night. And this must have happened like a, and I'm only saying this because it seems premeditated to me. Like it seems because he's saying everything. It's like you're in and out and no one knows anything is what he's saying.
Like you're in and out and no one knows a thing. So to me that when he's putting like a map in front of me, it's not literally like meaning a literal map, but he is saying to me that it was planned. Like it was planned. What he's also saying to me... Also, the side thing of this is this is going to open up more than just a murder case, it appears to me from what he's saying. He keeps saying there's a lot of other things that are involved in this too. These people that he's...
that he dealt with and what he's shown to me that he's friends with are not good people at all. I'm sure the police investigated, but he's saying it was a very quick investigation. It's kind of like when someone views something as gang related or whatever, right? It's like you investigate and you kind of just like, all right, this is the cause and the effects. All right, we're done. Because he's saying to me that he feels deep in his bones that the investigation was moved.
a little too fast and it's kind of like it's he's saying this but he's being like he's joking with being serious it's like it's up to you is what he's saying. It's kind of up to you and who you know and your connections with stuff. Was he out having fun, came back home late at night, and then this happened? Do you know? I FaceTimed him. The day before. And he was at his friend's house, which now I think the name popped up.
I don't even want to say it's like any connection to him. I'm not sure. I know he was just hanging out at home, like waiting for his girlfriend to come over or something like that. Okay. Not his home, his best friends. Yeah, but was this at night that this happened? Yes. Okay. He just keeps saying to me that there's a couple things that he definitely liked to have fun is what he's saying. Yes. It's like his prerogative to do things.
at times was to have and like we all like to have fun but he really seems like uh because he's smiling and cheersing me like he seems like he likes to have like fun fun yeah do you do you know his girlfriend I don't know her. I knew his ex. I was with him for a while. And then her, I know of her. I have her number. She reached out to me. Well, I reached out to her after, but ish. Yeah.
¶ A Secret Life and Familial Pressure
So what is this that he keeps saying to me about having... And he's being... Again, he's laughing, joking, but also being serious. It's not a secret life. That's not what I'm talking about. But he keeps saying there's people that can...
It's like a functioning alcoholic, but that's not what I'm talking about. It's like someone that can function throughout the day doing stuff and then at night is doing something completely different. Like if they're working in finance and at night they're selling drugs or slinging drugs, you're like, how are those two? They're not the same people. Because what he's saying to me is that he's able to live these two lives. Because what he keeps saying to me and he's...
It's like not disappointing his family is what he keeps repeating to me. So he wanted to do things to not disappoint his family, but then he wanted to be his... himself, it seems. Yeah. And he keeps saying he, it's kind of going AWOL when you, like not, not AWOL per se, but it's kind of like when you kind of go crazy because you don't want to be, or you. it's like it's like a because he's saying to me that there was pressure is what he keeps saying to me like pressure to be something
And he keeps saying that's not who he was. And he keeps smiling saying, so he kind of rebelled a little bit, it seems. And he keeps saying to me that that's how he got involved with certain people. But I do want to go back to the beginning because he keeps putting arrows back there about the people who he knows and the closest people. What he kept repeating to me and still is, is it's kind of like...
To me, it's like a little chilling, right? It's like the people who you think are the closest are the ones that can kind of hurt you at times the most. So if they know your schedule, where you're going to be, what you're doing, it doesn't matter. he thought that these people were his friends. So when someone says that to me, it means that the people that did this to him are familiar faces to him. They're not random people. Okay. They're somewhat connected or they're familiar faces.
it's not like he grew up in the streets is what he's saying to me. So he's saying the two worlds kind of colliding is just very different for him. And that's why he's also repeating to me, like he doesn't want to make his parents upset. Like he wanted to make them proud. There was like so much pressure for him that he kind of went towards people that maybe weren't attorneys or in finance or whatever. They were very much like doing that and that's what they do.

¶ Evidence and Unanswered Questions
So what we know, allegedly, everything, you know, happened in the middle of the night, about one in the morning. There was camera footage, the Ring app outside, the ones that shut off after 10 seconds. Because it's only motion detected, right? So we see his girlfriend. She was going to visit him. And you see on the footage, she's standing there knocking, waiting. And then...
Pools up was apparently his friend. You can see him clearly, I believe. And they're like, oh, what is she doing? And for some reason, she looks left and right. And in my mind, I'm like, why are you looking left and right?
It's one in the morning. What are you looking for? And he's just like, oh, what's he doing? Whatever. She's like, oh, you must be sleeping. And you see him look through the window because he probably fell asleep on the couch. And they knock, then this shuts off. That's all we see. And then you see them run out. And you see E go back in and then yell like, oh, hell no. Then you hear the girl.
say, I'm God, I don't care. And in my mind, I'm like, she probably didn't want to get shot and said, I don't care, go ahead, I won't say anything. You hear her say, I'm God, I don't care. He runs out and then the two other guys completely masked with pillowcases. Run out. That's it. He kept saying to me over and over again, the people who you think are the closest are the ones that turn their back and hurt you the most, is what he kept repeating to me.
The only two people I could assume would be a significant other and a best friend. I didn't assume it would be his parents. I didn't assume that. It's the best friend and a significant other. So that's why I was like asking you. To answer your question or to like kind of go back to that is they definitely need to be talked to again. It also seems like they weren't really talked to to begin with too much anyway. But from what he's like saying, it's kind of like...
They were spoken to about in the initial from what he's saying, and then it was over and done with. They made their statements and over and done with. They need to be revisited. I think he always, the whole pressure thing. I'm sure you know how Middle Eastern families can be. You're either a doctor or a lawyer kind of thing. It's like our family is very much like that. We're eight cousins. He was the only boy. The rest were girls. That was a pressure.
For him, it was always him among seven girls, where two lawyers, doctor, reporter, engineer, all that. But we were always rooting for him. We were always helping him. Like, what do you want to do? We'll help you, you know, whatever it was. So there was definitely when he got out, we were trying to help him figure out what he wanted to do so I could see where that pressure is. They caught...
And apparently he said he was part of planning the robbery, but he had no part in, now I don't believe this, in anything else that happened. And it was his friend that pulled the trigger, whatever. They let him go. I think I heard something about... Texas law being like it's a group thing so they have to get all of them to be able to you know prosecute slap the charge yeah and I heard that most of them I think the three all of them are on parole like
So it's like, how do you not find them in the system? How are you not looking at cameras? Other people ring cameras, gas station cameras of a car passing by, read the plates, do something. Do you know their names? Of the other guys? Yeah, the three? No. I just know... And my cousin, his sister, was saying, well, no, apparently they know those guys, but they fled Texas.
¶ Afterlife Connections and Apologies
And they can't find him or something like that. And I'm like, that doesn't sound right. And they did definitely say, the detective told my cousin, this is small fish and a very big thing. Like a very, like way bigger thing. So that is kind of in line with what you were saying. I'm really glad you started with the hug and kiss to the other person that starts with the P because his sister.
She's been struggling a lot, like very badly. She's upset she's not seeing him in his dreams. I see him every two or three months. I see him in my dreams. Yep. Most of them are good. He never speaks. And I've heard that's indicative of like they've passed. But I see him at different ages. I see him at five years old, six years old. The last time I saw him, in my mind, I was thinking he was the age he is now.
But he didn't look it. He looked when he was healthier. He didn't look healthy when he passed. Yeah. He was doing stuff. Yeah. Yes. And I would just hug him. Every time I see him in my dreams, I hug him really tight, knowing I have to let go. But I just talked to my cousin two days ago and she was saying... She was just bawling. She's like, I don't see him in my dreams. And it upsets me. And I'm like, I wonder why that is. Typically, the reason that that is is because...
Some people are not ready to see people, and it's not because he doesn't want to see her. If he visits her, it could do one of two things. It could obviously help her or hurt her more. Not hurt her where she feels upset. she's going to wake up and be like, it felt so real. I'm like, this is so depressing. He's not here. What the hell? So that's what I've noticed.
timing is everything, but it doesn't have to be dreams for him to visit. Like he can come through in so many different ways. And what he's showing to me with her, he comes through numbers with her. He just gave me full on chills. Yeah, he does. Yeah, we are all about like, you know, angel numbers. And when you when we signed on. I just looked at the right and it said 222. And I see all those angel numbers all the time. She even tattooed 444 on her. She is big on the numbers all the time.
Yeah, because like he's saying, because he's like smiling, saying it doesn't have to be like in a dream. Like he comes through as numbers for her. That's why I was like, he definitely comes through. It's not that he doesn't. Wow. That just gave me chills. Is there anything he wants to say to his mom? She's the worst. She said in the beginning, I remember she said she dreams about him pretty much every night. Yeah, so I think the biggest thing, what he...
And this is just the truth. It's a lot of apology. And it's not like, yes, he's apologizing for his death because the cause of death was caused by actions that maybe weren't fantastic. But he keeps saying that... It's more so of an apology that he wants to give her for making things a little tougher. than they had to be at times. And that she was one of the only people that, and I'm not saying that you and your cousins and his sister didn't stick by him.
But he's talking about the older generation didn't stick by him. And he keeps saying the only person that really did was, or consistently did, was his mom. And he's apologizing for like, he keeps saying, it's like... not showing how grateful he was. He doesn't want her to think that he was abusing her kindness, if that makes sense. Yeah. And abusing that. That's his thing. It's like the apology. Okay.
Does he say anything about like, is he okay? Yeah. And like, I see him just so you know, like healthy. So like I'm seeing the most healthy and happiest version of him. Yeah.
Yeah, that's the last dream I had about him is the healthiest I've seen him. And then every time I see him looking like that, I'm like, oh, that's when he was like 21. Yeah. But in this dream, something in my head during the dream, I was like, that's him. That's him right now. For some reason, his eyes were a different color.
which was very strange they were like hazel oh really yeah and he came up to me and he was like trying trying to say something i couldn't hear anything but like i was just like muffling him up and just yeah just so tight you know yeah yeah
