Speaker 1

Hi, folks. I hope you'll had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I'm excited for the new season of Coming Friendly Christianity to start next week. But in advance of that, instead of dropping a trailer, I'm dropping a little mini episode here to apologize for a mistake that I made in the Q and A episode. At the end of the last season, I was asked a question about the Morning after PILM, and I answered it on the basis of knowledge that I had from when I last looked

into the subject several years ago. At that point, it was thought that the morning after pill prevented implantation of an embryo if conception had taken place, but more recent research seems to have indicated that it doesn't. Now a few of you reached out to me after that episode to point out my mistake, and I really appreciate the correction. I want to apologize to all of you for the misinformation,

especially on a topic of such sensitivity. I hope it's evident from my podcast that I care deeply about factual accuracy, and as someone who writes and speaks about a whole range of topics on which I'm no expert, my fear is always that I will unintentionally mislead people. So my goal has been for the Confunding Christianity podcast to be a reliable source of information, and with that in mind, please reach out through my website if you hear something

on an episode that you believe is factually incorrect. And when I write books, I always pay an expert to read through the manuscript for me and point out any places where I'm wrong or might be misrepresenting something, but with the more spontaneous format of a podcast, there's more scope for error. Thankfully, I'm often talking with an actual expert who will pick me up on my mistakes real time. But I'm guessing this won't be the last time I mess up, and I want to take it seriously when

I do. Thank you for listening to the podcast and to this apology. One of the great reliefs of being a Christian is knowing that my many sins and failures are forgiven thanks to Jesus's death in my place, and this applies to sins of negligence as well as my deliberate sins. But that doesn't remove the need to ask for forgiveness from those I've sinned against and in this instance that's you guys. Thanks again for listening, and look for the new season starting on January the twenty first,
