The 2010 meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, held in Vancouver, Canada, October 21 - 24, attracted over 47-hundred participants from 82 countries around the world. This year's conference included presentations highlighting advances in a number of important areas — including the development of antibiotics and prevention of antibiotic resistance; HIV management; and both seasonal and H1N1 vaccine uptake and safety.
