COMPOUND 01 is an all vinyl mix tape recorded live from KStarke Records by Hakim Murphy. Along the years Hakim’s musical styles ranged from house to techno and he began playing records in 1996 being influenced by the likes of Larry Heard , Robert Armani , Dance Mania , Relief and Cajual Records . Since then Hakim has ventured into production work and eventually founded two records labels in 2008: Machining Dreams; and Synapsis Records with Avondale Music Society.
