Over 2 Million Vaccine Doses Administered

As of May 12th, 2021 over 2 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Alberta, with over 38 % of our population having received their first dose. 7.2 % of our population have now been fully immunized. While most will get a notification from the pharmacy where they got their vaccine, AHS still recommends that you receive your second dose no later than 4 months after your first. You can go to albertahealthservices.ca you can book your first dose online, or alternatively you can book by calling your pharmacy or by calling HealthLink at 811. Results show that the first dose is 80% percent effective at preventing severe illness, while the second dose ensures protection for as long as possible. Produced by Jarret Kamm.
