AstraZeneca Vaccine Access Expanded

On April 20th Alberta Health Services announced that all Albertans born on or before 1981 now have access to the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. Alberta’s decision to reduce the age of eligibility for AstraZeneca / Covishield from 55 to 40 is based on public health recommendations looking at the benefit this vaccine offers weighed against the small risk of adverse events from this vaccine. As of April 17, more than 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca / Covishield have been administered in Alberta. Produced by Jarret Kamm.
