You could bind discounts like that, and fricking just save money. Because everything's expensive, you might as well pay less money, especially if you're gonna buy something anyway, just spend less on it. Yes, it's like when you go and you get like eggs from the grocery store and you're like, hey, these eggs are discounted. I'm gonna get these ones, hopefully none of them are broken. Then you get them home and they're like, none of them are broken. You just eat them? Ye, you just boil
them. I don't know where I was going with the freaking egg analogy, but well, I get to tell the story now, your boy. That's me. Last weekend, I boiled my first egg. Jesus Christ, Branda, I boiled my very first egg. I made a hard boiled egg, and it's delicious. I'm a hard boiled egg guy. Now real stinky though, if you like, if you put them in a tupperwar take them to work for lunch, they stink up the office. Just an FYI, Oh no, I'm not gonna do that. I I boil. I spent all
that time boiling them. I'm gonna eat them right away. I'm hungry. Now I'm gonna hit you with the truth. And this is a very polarized truth, but I am on the on the side of These are fricking one of the best things that there is. Okay, have you ever had an egg salad sandwich? No canicle brandos in for something? What in our time knowing each other, would ever indicate that I would eat something called a salad sandwich. It has salad in the name, but it has nothing to do
with what you think a salad is. It's essentially boiled egg like smushed up with other stuff, like like some mayonnaise, and some people put a little bit of mustard in it. And you put on this like soft, pillowy white bread and you eat it and it's just like an orgasm for your mouth. What if I didn't put mayo and mustard in it and put cheese. I'll take it. Could I would that still be an egg salad saldwach Not really, but I have had shredded like monterey jack in an egg salad sandwich
and man alive. I'm telling you, but what makes it a salad? Then? Why does mustard and mayo make it a salad? You know what? Let us this is what we'll do. We'll get the nation in the discord in our food We've got a food thread. Yeah, just for food and drinks. We've got a thread for that in the patron discord. Give us your best egg salad sandwich for Uncle Brando. I'll try one. There's no vegetables in it, no, there ain't. Some people put celery in
it to give it some crunch. Yeah, get out of here. Some people put onions in it to give like more flavor. Get out of here. I'll put onion power in it. Get out. That's the ingredient. You can do this, yes, okay, So if your patreon supporter over at patreon dot com, slash ccio podcast, get in there, connect your Patreon to the discord. It's in your Patreon settings. Don't email me. I don't know how it works. You just you have to do it.
But you get into the discord, you let Brando know your best egg salad sandwich recipe. If if Patreon's not for you, though, go out, go down into the comments below on the YouTube channel. Yeah, and let us know in the comm It's just like leave a link for freaking egg salad sandwich on like Pinterest or something, and he has to read the like the frickin seven thousand word blog post about why egg salad sandwich changed some lady's life
before the recipe. I know all about how to just scroll down to find the recipe. I'm really good at that now. Okay, I know the tricks. They can't get me. Okay, well, I mentioned Patron. That's a great way to support if you We got Chicago coming up. That's why we're doing a double recording we do. If you want to buy somebody a slice of pizza or a lunch or a beer in Chicago Coffee Dot Slash
Command or Cookout, you can donate there. You can leave a little message or whatever and like, hey, buy the Boys of beer, or buy like a roun like a chicken wing, or well he doesn't drink, Hey, yeah, I doasted beer. So we got them. We'll load it up with LSD and just like give it a chicken. So if you want to buy somebody slice of pizza a beer, you can go to Coffee dot
com. That's what I use. Any any donations or support that come in there, or Command or cookout dot com, there's a donate button there that those two sources of support go right to the CCO experience to help pay for food or if like people need cabs, if you want to just help us out, that is fantastic and we appreciate lots. Yeah, and uh, we're doing a double recording. So I don't have a new deal of the week on Commander Cookout dot com. But what was last week's. If you
buy any apparel, you get a free gift. That's that's sweaters, tooks like the Pomp Pomp toooks. Any t shirts, you're gonna get a free gift, maybe a booster pack, maybe something from our good friends at Ultimate Guard. They sent us some stuff that we can give away. Who can
say, who can say you'll have to buy something find out? I mean we could, We're not gonna because otherwise it's not a secret or a surprise, and surprises are awesome, and supporting your favorite online content creators also awesome. So great way to support. When you're in Chicago Saturday, two o'clock till two to three thirty, you can come buy you can sign a Slim Against Humanity card. You know what I or whatever you thought, I've really
really found out about the magic population in general. When you know, like we go to a show and you see like content creators or like Gavin or Mark Rosewater, Jimmy and Josh even us, like people ask us to sign cards. I get asked to do little doodles on cards all the time. I do too, and they're always dicks. Everyone wants to dis in.
I don't know why. So when I've got the Calamax deck and I ask people that I play against to sign or do a doodle if they be the deck, and that's where you got the Slim Against Humanity deck, right, Yeah, that's the idea. When I ask people out in the nation to sign cards like over the Moon, they're like, oh what, oh, no way, yeah I'll sign that or like and I say, like you beat the deck or you won the game, that means you get to do
a doodle on a card in the deck. You can draw like Uncle Brando beat the deck one time and drew like King Kong on like on my mountain. I've got the Art Deco mountain from Capena, and you do like a little plane with a King Kong and people have drawn man like other content creators have like tried to draw their logo, Smithy's kid one time, drew a slice of pizza. Oh man. There's just just so many cool little things that are just fun little memories for people to like put onto the card.
So that's what you're doing at the creator area. That's my plan. Yeah, Saturday two o'clock. We've got paint markers all tested out. You can check out last week's pre show. It's got like an actual test of my glittery marker and stuff. It's gonna be so cool. I'm very excited for it. And in and about that area wherever it is, we don't have the maps yet, like none of that stuff has come out yet, but
in and around that we're gonna have us all the CECO nation. I've been talking to other creators online that kind of want to come and be part of our table with our community or or our group of tables. So we can all be together because nothing sucks worse than sitting down and playing with a dick. And if you're playing with people in the nation, I can virtually guarantee that that doesn't happen. Yeah, and it's only cool people who want to
meet and be and play all together. That's why we say we have the most seven out of ten community because we actually do. Yes, we're not lying or blowing smoke up anybody's ass like other people do. Ours are the best, period. That's it, full stop. We'll die on this hill, that's right. Yes, yes, and so will you because we're gonna
kill you. Yes, we will kill you. Speaking killing our opponents, Oh yeah, we're gonna do it with a with a deck that you said last week inspiring to you, which is really cool and something that I think is I think it's neat full disclosure. So two weeks ago or whatever, when we did the Ravnica or the Frick it's in Ravnaka, okay, it's
Ravenka murder at karlov manor Legendary Review or whatever. We looked at Feather and said, oh, it's a shitty zada and you were like, no, it does all these other things and I just discounted it and wrote it off like three Man of Shitties Ada that flies. Sure, but there's there's a whole bunch more. Yeah, there's lots of can do, so give it a read real quick. Here, Feather Radiant Arbiter is a four to three life linking flying Angel for white white red. Keep in mind doesn't have radiate,
which I'm still sore about. Four three flying Lifelinker for three. That's already pretty good. This card's already good. Angel creature type two which matters. Should be a frickin' advisor, but here she's not an advisor, though she's the boss, isn't she? I actually think she's a detective in Ravenica. Isn't she likes ry buffs? Let us know in the comments? Is she? She just shows up like what the fuck's going on? You bunch of people are getting killed? That's her? Yeah, Jesus Jesus mad j
Jonah Jamison. Now I want picture of Spider Man. Yes, when she demands answers that the card demand answers, that's her going to Kaya and whatever the fuck the detective guy's name is and being like what the fuck's going on? Oh yeah, oh, that's why it's a story spot like that. She is demanding answers of our detective friends. Okay, so give her a
read. We haven't done that yet. Here's what she does. Whenever you cast a non creature spell that targets only feather, you may choose any number of other creatures that the spell could possibly target and pay two generic man for each of those creatures. If you do, each of those creatures gets a copy of the spell. A copy of a permanent spell enters the battlefield as a token of that the permanent that spell would create. Right is correct.
So if I put a I don't know and she got lifelink already, if I targeted her with brute strength plus three plus three until end of turn instant for red, Yes, brut strength, that's the one. Okay, we could pay two and also target another one of our guys. Yes, if I put like if I targeted her with crimson wisps, this is a Zata classic, right, red MANA instant says target creature gains haste and draw card. Target creature becomes red. Oh, target creature becomes red. Yeah,
there's one that gives haste, sure and draw card. So if I pay two. I copy that spell. Now I draw two cards. If I copy it twice, because I have two other guys, I draw three cards. This is how Zada works. I've got ten guys. I target Zata. It radiates or replicates or whatever to everybody, and I draw ten cards per cantrip. It's pretty good, That's what I thought. So when I have to pay MANA to copy, sure, I got a three man of four to three flyer and I get access to white, which would make Zata
like an actual deck. Sure, right, but I have to pay two. But then Uncle Brando on the review says, no, no, no, it's any uh non creature spell. So it could be an enchantment I could put like an angel's Grace's let's just let's just let's just pick one of the pick one of the good ones, let's pick one of the regular ones. Unquestioned authority, let's just enchant creature for white two Yep. When unquestioned authority enters the battlefield, draw card. Okay, Enchanted creature has protection from
creatures, so I could pay. Okay, so that's a three man of spell. Let's just do the little math here. That's a three man of spell. I target Feather with it, and then I pay two mana and I get another copy of that spell. So I'm getting the same spell at a discount this time. And because there's two ETBs, I get two enchantment ttbs, I get two card draws, and I get two creatures that have protection from creatures, which makes them unblockable by the way, and makes them
invincible blockers when they block. Yes, so Unquestioned Authority, like already is a card that enchantress decks that run creatures play, but now it becomes like a mega card draw engine. If I've got a bunch of creatures or a bunch of mana, or I can bounce it and all three of those things might be true. And this could almost like Zada does, feel like a little bit of a combo deck if we target our own creatures. Yes, you and I were talking. There's a whole nother build to this deck where
I could enchant Feather with like pacifisms and shackles and prison terms. Prison terms the one all the best. Okay, So I'm gonna I'm gonna read prison term here because this is not in the deck, but it it can should be. Let's be on this card should be in this deck because it's it's good. Okay, enchantment for white white one enchant creature. Enchanted creature can't attacker block and its activated abilities can't be activated. Nice sounds good, Target
my own guy, target feather. Sure, whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, you may attach prison term to it. So target feather pay two, get your guy too. Then you play another creature. I'm gonna move my prison term to your guy. And then if you play a big or scarier guy, you can unprison term one of their other dudes in prison term that one too, and has two options for that or three or four. However many prison terms you have. Yeah, man, that's
a good one. I thought of a card called Shackles, which is a card originally from Invasion. It's white two. Enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controllers untapped step. Now they don't know I have this. Theoretically they attack I target Feather with shackles and now and and replicate it to their guy. So now their guy doesn't untap, and Shackles also has white return Shackles to
its owner's hand, So I get my own thing. Back and I control the So even if they're if they're playing white, they can't activate that because it's my card, right, So the battering them with feather, Yeah, and then if they play more dudes, you can shackle them too. Yeah. And okay, so they play guys and they don't attack you with it. Sure, I didn't want them to attack me, So shackles is still doing its job, right, even if I have it back in my hand.
Again. So those are the kinds of things you could do if you target your own stuff that you would normally target your opponent's stuff with. And that's where feather gets like these very broad use cases. When we talk about boros enchantress, now we're thinking, I guess what we're talking about is pretty mana intensive And it just kind of occurred to me. Another good one for
this deck might be what was it? Shiny impetus? I think is the thing it goads a creature, and whenever the enchanted creature attacks, we make a treasure token. Oh that's a good one, and I think it makes them bigger too. So now our feathers like a six five that flies, that makes a treasure every time she attacks, and you can radiate it out
to a couple other key creatures your opponent's control. Yep. And so now these goaded dudes are attacking every combat and we're making treasures for it that we could then use to enchant more things. That is a good one because they can't attack us, right, so it it effectively it prison terms them or shackles them, but just for us. And I'm the best one so far, and it ramps us too, like that's really good, and it makes
our our girl into a fucking beat stick. Well, let's take a quick look at the ramp and then we'll flip over to cards, so joke and put them all on the screen. We've got a talisman of conviction. Look at We're in the new studio, hey, so I can look right at the screen and yeah, oh yeah, this is easy talent. And the screen is like this big. The screen is large, large, lorge if you will. Talisman of conviction, sol Ring, Smothering Tithe, fellow our
stone, Commander's sphere Boro signet, arcane signet. That's seven ramp spells sol Ring, of course, very good. Smothering Tide's gonna give you manna over turnover, turnal return, I would probably put Shiny Impetus in that section if it was in the deck. We also, let's do the removal too. Well, no, hold on, we've got cost reducers too, Okay, give those a read. We got transcendent envoys, Starheim course they're Starfield, Mystic and Hero of Euros. All of those things are some version of a
dude that makes enchantments cost one less. Artifacts and enchantments cost one less, and some of them have other benefits like when you target them or startfold mystic gets bigger when your enchantments go away. Yeah, Transcendent Envoy really cool. Art. Hey, it's a two to one flying griffin for two auras. Specifically, just auras cost one less. So really, we've got eleven ramp spells, and those cost reducers are always really good because they they continue to
give you manna if you cast multiple spells in a turn. Right. I like these ones because they're also dudes. So now we have dudes to enchant with our things they turn into. Okay, it's important. That's really good. Let's do the removal too, so just four of them and everybody knows them. There's Chaoswarp, generous Gift pat the exile sorts of plowshares easy as pie. Yeah, is that enough? Do you play more than four targeted removal spells? Yes? You do sometimes when i'm gonna if I'm gonna play
removal, boy, howdy, I'm gonna play removal. Yeah. Yeah, I think I'm guilty, like a lot of players are. I don't think I play enough removal unless it's in in all my casual decks. I don't play enough removal because I just want to do the thing more. I'll do that too, is all the trap. I'll build my decks to do the thing just Oh, you've killed my thing. Well, I'll just I'll just deploy more threats. I'll just run. I'll just do the thing more.
That's that's my deck building philosophy. And it works pretty good because typically I'll have more things than my opponents have removal, and as long as I keep playing them, eventually one of them is gonna stick around. I'm gonna kill me. You know what I noticed. I notice my decks that I play an adequate amount of removal in are the decks that you like playing against the least. I actually just caught all the removal from my dice dragons and treasures
deck. It's all one deck. Man, you're a freaking cartoon character. So that the dragon, so that all of it. I have a perfect ratio. And I have eighteen dragon things, and I have eighteen treasure things, and I have eighteen dice rolling things in the same deck. And I will never come off that ratio now ever. And that man, oh boy, oh, I made like eighty seven treasures on Thursday. Oh. I didn't win that game, but I should have. I got greedy with a
yeah, welcome, Welcome. That is literally CCO Nation. That's our next T shirt. I didn't win the game, but I should have. I had. I had nine cards in my hand and I got greedy with a deck of many things. I had to discard my hand. Ooh, I had to win in my hand, discarded it. Frick Well, okay, we've got borrows enchants here, we've got feather, we've we've kind of talked about what the deck does and a bunch of how it's going to power it
out. This deck, though, is I don't think it's a typical CCO deck in that it's jank and plays funny stuff like there's fricking tutors in here. There's removal. There's not combo finishers, but there's like some powerful and mean and well thought out stuff. It's it's from Anti Brando. I don't think we said that, didn't we We did, we did, we're doing we're doing some we're doing a jank thing in boros enchantras, but we're doing it as good as one could do. I think so the deck, as
far as boros and chantriss goes, is probably dialed up pretty high. This deck is built to hang with a No, I'm not gonna say it built to hang with eights or nines, but like you could bust this out at any commander table and it's gonna hang with the current pre cons there were, which are sevens. By the way, every deck is a seven. Okay, let's flip over to cards and we'll take it from that. I love it. Should we go to the tutors toots because there's there's six of them.
Let's hit them. We got plea of plea for guidance. Oh six manna search your library for up to two enchanties, reveal and put them into your hand. Then shuffle that's six man and define two. That's on rate compared to like Idealic Tutor. But do you think one of those enchantments that we talked about earlier prison term shiny impetus, you could probably replace this with that and still be fine. I think so this one is seventy nine cents.
Those ones are also around that altitude of money. We got Moon Blessed Cleric. Oh. Look at this three two for three human elf cleric. Oh, because half elf. I'm like, how can you be human and elf? Half elf? Okay, Dungeons and Dragons, baby, Yeah. When moon Blessed Clerk enters battlefield, search your library for an enchanty, reveal it, put it into your hand, put it on top, which is Enlightened Tutor with a three two body attached to it. We're also playing Enlightened
Tutor and Idealic Tutor. Heliod's pilgrim enters the battlefield, search for an aura, reveal it, put it into your hand and aura answer that enters battlefield, return an enchantment from your graveyard to your hand. I wonder if I should play that in my enchanter's decks. This card good, I think so, I good. I play it in Miazorious Enchantment deck, which is going bye bye. But she's a good card. Moon Blessed Cleric also a card
that's better than you think. The ideal with tutor at three is kind of outclassed these days, but having a three two body attached to it, three twos are pretty good. Yeah, three twos are gonna kill lots of commanders
that are attacking in to get like chip in commander damage. I like, I like how in whenever I see an etb ability in white, I always think, man if I ever needed to farm that white's got so much blink now, yeh, Like efemerate, lets me do it two times over two turns, where I can spread the cost of like casting that spell couple times, or or doing whatever that spell that I blink afforded me, Like casting the enchantment that I searched for, I can always build that and work it
in. Like we got fourteen protection enchantments, we got ten and winning cards, we've got gutterbackers. I could spice into those forty spots or whatever thirty spots. I could spice in some blink and farm like enchantment searching. Right, Yeah, how come aura answers in the tutor section not the guitterbacker section. Let's read the getarbackers. We got eight of them. You want to do getterbackers or card draw first, it's two guitter backers because we've said they're
kind of the same thing, aren't they? I always count them as the same thing. We have unfinished business. Oh, man, that sounds like it should be from murderers at karlov manor yes, yes, it certainly does.
It's a sorcery when it's freaking weird. For white white five white white three white five three it is five converted man cost got there, white white three is the manocost Return target creature card from your bin two play, then return up to two auras and or equipment cards from your bin to play attached to that creature. Oh that's like Bruna light alabaster. But yeah, it's like shitty Bruna. Yes, but we don't got balloonness. That doesn't Bruna
take from your opponents too, It doesn't matter very powerful. That card is good gets back two things, three things sure Tianna's Tiana Ship's caretaker. Oh yeah, this is originally from Dominaria. This is a three to three angel artificer for boros and three flying first strike whenever an art. Whenever an aura or equipment you control has put into the grave from the battlefield, you may return that card to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step.
That's pretty cool. That is a good one. If we've got something like an enchantment that we can put onto feather that sacrifices itself with Tiana, we can get it back and recast it to get their guys again, We'll get more of our guys. I like that. Yeah, like an enchantment that says like H gives plus two plus two and flying or whatever, but sacrifice it to give indestructible until end of turn. Something like that, right, I dig that. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Okay, so we
play retether and replenish and open the vaults. All of those get back all onto the battle field. Yes, oh man, replenish Replenish is my dick and my balls and my ass. But in a good way. Yeah, sure, yes. Now, if you're let's say you don't have the ninety US dollars it would cost to get a replenished, we talk about that in the budget section. But we can also mention now that there is I forget the name of the card, but I just thought of it. Just now,
open the vault. It's a three tether. It's a suspend card that for it's like white white suspend for three turns. Oh yeah yeah, and then it replenishes. It's some and it costs. It costs a buck. So oh man, splenish, sure, s splenish s splenish. That's probably what it is. But it's fine. Yep, we have we have replenish at home. That's what that is. Mantle of the Ancients. Mantle of
the Ancients. Enchant creature you control for white white three enters a battlefield, return any number of target, Aura and equipment cards from your graver to the battlefield attached to Enchanted Creach. Okay, Enchanted Creach gets plus some plus one for each aura and equipment attached to it. That's pretty it's pretty damn good. That's pretty good. That's like ancestral mask kind of but gets all your stuff from your graveyard. You could get a couldn't it get the mask?
It could not in this deck now I guess the ancestral mask screen. Yeah. That that card's freaking good in a deck like this, like in a normal enchanter's deck. Mostly it has enchantments to keep itself alive and to draw your cards. This chamaged to kill everybody. This one has like forty auras in this deck or whatever, right like this? Yeah? Different, That card's good in an aura ENCHANTERSS deck like this one, agreed, Heavenly Blade Master. I thought you're gonna say, but I was and I didn't.
Oh you chickened out three six flying double Striking Angel for six enters a battlefield. Attach any number of auras and equipments you control to it. Other creatures you control get plus one plus one for each aura and equipment attached to it. Isn't that good? That card's gonna win your games. Absolutely gonna cast that and be like, yeah, ten things go on to it. Take one hundred. That's what you're gonna do with that card. Crystal Chimes.
Oh, it's been a good long while since I freaking played this card. I forgot all about this card until last night when I read this deck list. Yeah, okay, so a three man artifact three tap sacrifice it return all enchantment cards from your graveyard to your hand. It's fine, we want them in our hand right because we want to cast them onto feather yes, dude. Okay, so read feather again? Is it etb whenever you cast cast, so replenish won't work for feather? Correct, that's okay. Crystal
chimes, Yes, enter in the twenty cent Crystal chimes. Baby, is crystal shard a piece of a crystal chime because they kind of do the sort of the same thing. Oh, they bounce it? Would you say? More people out there? They are not. They just coincidentally have the same word used. But like a shard could be a chime and they both bounce things. Yes, maybe maybe crystal is like designated in some Watzi designer's mind. Oh yeah, crystal must bounce. Yeah. What else do we go?
We have costcutters and card draw. Well, let's let's get the Let's get the card drap because we haven't done those yet. Okay, card draw. We have Willeth Soul of Steel. What he's holding the blazing butt steel. Yeah, he's got brash hunter's butter knife, which I am very offended by. Is there better be a good goddamn reason why he's in here. He's a two to two for boros and one with trample whenever he attacks draw card for each Aura and equipment attached to it. That's pretty good. That's
pretty good in this deck. That's pretty good. In this deck. We're gonna draw cards with that guy, Sram Senior Edificer two to two for two. He's a cuckoo chew the walrus. Whenever you cast an aura, equipment or vehicle, you draw card. We have lots of orus. We do Page's reverie when it enters about if it draw card for each area you control that's attached to a creature, now, which is all of them, that's
gonna draws ten manna. Also enchanted creature because it's in check. Creature gets plus one plus one for each aura you control that's attached to a creature. So if you put that on two dudes, you're gonna I forgot that part, so you're gonna draw. That's four cards for putting it on two dudes, and then your dudes are gonna get plus four plus four. I think,
dude. If we have one aura and we cast this and copy it one time, so that's gonna cost us six manna, we're gonna draw frickin' six wow, and our guys are gonna get I don't even know what the math is I think it's six. You know what you could use to track all the plus ones c CEO dice. Oh yeah, Commander crookout dot com. Go there, I have too many of them. Go and get something, get awesome, get them to your house. What else you can get
to your house? Mesa and chantresses. I play this card. I don't cast an enchantment very important cast an enchantment, so it's not going to trigger on feathers ETB thing where she copies cast an enchantment draw card neat core spirit answer cast an or a spell draw card plus two plus two for each or attached to it. Oh my god, yes, I like that card. That picture on it, like she's real sexy and there's like an ibex that's super evil and a big pissed off elephant and like a like a tiger snake
or something. Yes, I like that card chosen by heliod enchant Creature. When an Etb's draw draw card, enchanted Creature gets plus oh plus two plus oh plus two. Yeah, that one is there just to like to radiate a bunch of times because it costs too many. It says draw card on it. Yeah, we could probably pay six into that and draw three, and that's fine. Let's cut costs sigard is aid. That lets us give auras flash. And when Sigarda's aid, when an equipment enters battlefield under our
control, you may attach it for free. It doesn't it does nothing in this town. We don't care. We just want the flash speed, right, Given that that costs nine bucks, I'd maybe cut that for shiny impetus. I would do shiny impotent. Yes, you've never never thought of that. I think of that every time I hear that, huh every time there It is no mad mythmaker, no mad mythmaker, no mad piss taker. Okay, two to two for three, no mad cleric human it goes white
tap. Put an ore card from your graveyard into play attached to a creat you got that's pretty good. It's got to be one that we control, though, I forgot all about that card, and that won't trigger Feathers thing. So that's just to get her backer. But it's good. Yeah, a Tally's favor. Look at this one doesn't even do a Tully stuff. It doesn't even have a Tolly in the art. No, she's she's like a Tally's like friend though or something definitely not. Well, she's got a
lightning on her sword. A tlly does lightning stuff. Well, yeah, but he's probably trying to kill her with it, and she's like stopping it with her knife. Now she's collecting it. This is a picture of a knife. This is a stupid card. This is an aura that enchants the creature we controlled for Red two and it says enters a battlefield. Discover three. That's Cascade sort of also in Chanta, creature gets plus one plus one and has trampski. Now with I guess I can read it. Excellent cards
on the top of your library. Excellent online card is Man of Value three or less. Cast it for free, So you could cast a enchantment onto feather and then radiate it onto other things. Yes, because you are casting it. Though with Discover you don't have to cast it. You could just put it in your hand. So if you did have like a shiny impetus or like a shackles or a prison term and we're the only ones that had guys out, we can just put it in our hand for later use.
Gonna appreciate that kind of stuff. Yeah, last one Arden intrepid archaeologist. Well, this guy's good. He's got partner. No, we don't care though he's a two two or three cour scout. At the beginning of combat, on your turn, you may attach any number of auras and equipments you
control to target permanent or player. So if we've got like our shit all spread out on like ten different guys, we can just go move to combat, equip everything onto Feather because she's got flying and lifelink and I'm going to gain forty life and you can't block because you don't have flyers, and you die and you do for forty with my commander. Yes, yes, probably very good card in this dead because it's any number. I tend to agree.
Yes, you move everything over to whoever, so should we let's protect then we attack. That's how we do it. Yes, that's how it usually works. We already talked about one questioned authority. Yep, we have an umbramistic or well read the card. Ryan, just say what it does.
Auras attached to permanence you control have totem armor. So that would be if the permanent would get destroyed, the enchantment is destroyed instead, if an enchanted permanent you control would be destroyed instead, remove all damage from it and destroy the aura attached to it and aura. So if you have multiple instances or they have to kill one of them, Yeah, you need multiple instances of destroy to get rid of all of the multiple instances of totem armor.
Should there be that's right? Yes, Okay, timely ward, timely ward. As long as you cast this spell flash come, well said man. Well said, if you're targeting your commander, it has flash. There you go. Okay, it's an aura for three enchanted creature has indestruct Cool. That's really good. Sphere of safety, god damage. Yeah, creatures can't attack you unless their controller pays X, where x is the number of enchantments we control. That card's such a piece of shit. Yeah, that's like
super ghostly prison. Let's talk about a card that's not a piece of shit. That I you play this card in run Tail Kitson Ascendant when you have thirty or more life, you flip it into a legendary enchantment, which is like turn three, I'm gonna play Rune Tail and it's going to immediately flip into prevent all damage that would be dealt to creatures you control. I notice it doesn't say combat damage or non combat. It's just damage. Yes,
your dudes do not take damage. Earthquake away. Nice blasphemous act, bro. You know what, I kind of want that in my ar Commandrite deck because it's a monk and ar commanderate cares about monks, artificers and advisors. And it would immediately flip anytime of day because I'm always going to be gaining life. But all of my guys get vigilance when I gain life, but they don't get any toughness boost when I gain life, So that would go right in there. That's a good idea. You got a foil one,
of course I do. You got two? Of course I do. Forgives for keeps uh. Probably an expensive foil. Hey, now I was on the list. It's an expensive one. If you get it from whatever sable one, that's the one that you got. But if you get it in the list, come on, that's the one I need. The other ones will not do. Pent Ark ward, pent Ark Ward. I'm gonna say. It gives protection from all color chosen color. Also when at etb's draw card. Yes, that's pretty good because it etb's and draws a card and
gives protection from the color that you want important wording on Pentark Ward. I liked that they included this. If you pick white, it doesn't remove Pentark ward. Oh that's good. Yes, that's smart. That's smart thing. But it will remove all your other white enchantments, so be careful with that. Yeah. Next up, ero us god a victory. You know this is another one for twenty bucks. We're going to talk about it in the budget section. As long as your devotion to red or white is seven or
more, it's a creature. It's a seven and four indestructible for four that's pretty good creatures you control a minus that's pretty good and prevent all damage it would be dealt to attacking creatures you control. You could play a Dolman gate if you don't want to pay nineteen dollars for this. Yeah, but how
much is Dolmand gate though? Eight? Oh you know what, I'm willing to bet that with the amount of protection and fly like protection enchantments and flying creatures because lots of our creatures have flying and or they're just bigger because they're all angels, we might not need that card for twenty dollars. We might
not. And of note, and I think this is something to maybe mention now because now, as what I'm thinking of it, when you copy a permanent like a Pentark ward or a Timely Ward or an Umbre unquestioned authority, the token copies still have the mane cost, which does count for devotion. Oh so that's not a negligible thing. So this guy will be a creature more often than not in a deck like this, given that he has two pips, Feather has three, and you only need one other spell essentially,
which is literally any enchantment that you play. Yes. So also of note, when we have to choose something, the copy chooses the same thing. Yes, yeah, just an fyi because we've had to choose a few things. But look, we've got fourteen things in the protection section. We could have thirteen and save twenty bucks and play like a shiny impotent Yeah, we have Hyena and eland Umbra. Those give totem armors. So if it would die, you remove damage and it's not destroyed. Gift of Immortality. This
card. This card's good. Yes, okay, enchanted creature and whenever enchanted Creature dies, return it to the battlefield under its owner's control. Right now, yep, Then return gift of Immortality to the battlefield at the beginning of the next end step, so you do have time that you can get rid of the creature again and not get Gift of Immortality back. But usually people don't have two removal spells at the ready right now, and you just get
your guy back, and you get gift back. Yes, attached to said guy just pretty good, and then you freaking oh no, because feather you have to cast it. Yes, never mind. What do you think of glad Reel's dismissal oh man, I think that nearly every single one of the cards in the Lord of the Rings scene box sets, nearly everyone was a freaking hit. Okay, So this is an instant for White and it's got kicker White too, and it says target creature phases out. Sure phase out
for freakin' white. Right if this spell was kicked now, it's four uh each creature target player controls phases out. So this goes from I'll get your blocker out of the way, or I'll save my guy to I'll get every blocker out of the way, or I'll save all my guys. That's neat oh, or you're attacking f U Jesse because of course you are. Yeah, I say, Jesse, all your guys phase outright, That's what I did. Hey, Jesse, meet God, Meet God. Her name's feathered
names. Uncle Brando or in this case anti Brando is a flickering ward. Hey, this is a good one. Oh, this is exactly like the like shackles. This is the other one I was thinking of. Okay, white enchant creature ETBs choose the color enchanted creature has protection from the chosen color, and it's got white bounce flickering ward to its owner's hand. Very cool of note. If you pick red or white, it's going to remove all
the enchantments from your creed. Yes, but I can go flickering ward on feather, doesn't matter what color, and give my actual attacker the color that needs right bounce flickering ward cast it again. Give the same guy that I just gave protection from green to I can give him protection from black. Now he's got two protection. Now I can get the Gulgari player neat. Very
good card of this deck. Boros ch Choose one deals four damage to a player a planes walker permituch you control gain in destructing telling to turn you target creature you control gains. Ooh, double strike. This is a wind condition almost a because you just like pick double strike and give four guys double strike. Just ranch somebody. Yeah, it's very good. Four guys double strike.
That would cost eight or ten eight eight because feather would be one and then there would be three other six mana worth of other guys in That is correct, Yes, and the last one is benevolent blessing flash. Choose a color. Protection from the chosen color doesn't remove if you choose white, Yes, this effect doesn't remove auras and equipments you control that are already attached. Oh, that's even better. So if you give it protection from white,
it's got a bunch of enchantments. They'll stay on. You can't put more on, but you will have some. And if you pick red, same
deal. Okay, I'll take that. Good templating there like that. The odds are that we pick red or white very low, because there's more colors that are not red and white than colors that are red and white, and red and white probably are the least represented colors in any given commander pod with flying dudes, Would you say that white is white and red are fairly prevalent when it comes to common flying things, Blue probably has the most flying stuff,
but I would say that White and Red are probably next up in the common flying stuff at the highlight level of at the high Manna level or the high power level. Right, Like, you're looking at angels and dragons, and I want to play generally more angels and dragons, then I want to play the flying blue creatures or the flying black creatures Like angels and dragons are generally good in commander, where sphinxes and demons are pretty specific to what I'm
doing strategy or creature type. That said, though, Blue has very like lots of flying creatures that I would probably just want in my deck. Incidentally, Yeah, right, so i'd probably name Blue if they have flyers, right, I don't know, depends on the colors of deck you're playing again, let's playing against Let's be honest. Yeah all right, man, last section of the game, hashtag winning is what we call it hashtag winning. Well, we'll see if it wins when we do. Let's start with dink
Palette and unbroken. This is a format a two to four human night double strike auras you control have exalted. Oh so that's whenever a creature attacks alone. Each thing that you have that has exalted will give it plus one plus one. Wow, that's pretty good. If I want commander damage with feather with my flying commander. Yes, that has a protection from your deck and lifelink and is huge and I can probably kill you in one swing with this.
Oh that's pretty good. Dink all right, slumbering keep guard, slumbering keep guard. There's so many ways that we can probably make this dirty. This is a one one for one. Whenever an enchantment enters the battleot under your control, scry one and it's got white two slumbering keep guard, it gets plus one plus one to tell and a turn for each enchantment you control. So I just like pay three to give it plus ten, pay three to give it plus ten. Yeah, man, where's the frickin grafted exo
skeleton when you need it? Sigil of the Empty Throne cast an enchantment, get a four to four white flying Angel and it's an enchantment, so it's gonna work with the rest of our deck. That's great. I played out of mind Chanter's deck. It's that's a classic. Like just goes in and it's gonna make guys ethereal armor. Oh, this is a good one plus one plus one for each enchantment you control and has first strike. Very good.
Sure daybreak coronet. Oh enchant creature with another enchantment on it. Yes, okay, so that's pretty specific. But it's only white white and it gives plus three plus three first strike, vige and life link. That's good for two for two. Yeah, it's good. Celestial Ancient. Oh, I like this guy. I like this one. I've never seen it played before other than decks that I've tried to put it in. I like the
picture. Yes, white white three for a three three flyer. Whenever you cast an enchantment spell, put a plus one plus one counter on each creature you control. That is kind of like Chanther's Crusade. Yeah, except it's for enchantments. For enchantments and casting not coming into play. Sure cheap crappy ca Yes, more like crafters, battle mastery, battle ass battle ass three
battle as tree and chatt a creature has double strike. That's that. Just that alone is gonna make feather a uh two pumper, No three pump three pump Okay, sure, Arcana of Son's great. Oh yeah, I lost to this card one time three four flying lifelink for four. Ah. Pegasus. Creatures you control have life link whenever an enchantment tager's betefit of your control. Put a two two Pegasus into play with flying and that's enters the battlefield.
So your feather triggers are gonna trigger. Yeah, yeah, that's good. It's very good. Angelic distin. Oh this is the fricking card I was trying to think of at the start of the show. Okay, white white two enchant Creature gets plus four plus four, has flying first strike, and is an angel And when this dies, sure, when this dies you put it back into your hand. That's pretty good. Ah. Yeah,
and the last one is all that glitters. Oh, come on, gets Chanted Creature gets plus one plus one for each artifact and or enchantment you control. So all of our manner rocks are gonna work for this and our crystal chimes. This is the kind of card. And I do this all the time at the risk of vandal blast, which I barely ever see anymore,
because apparently destroying all artifacts is taboo. Now, sure, I put the artifact lands in my deck when I play cards like this, man, Yeah, just because frick's I haven't encountered the downside to having like a great furnace And what's the white artifact land? I don't care. Ah, Man, what the frick it's on the screen? Problem that probably is Joe probably knows what it is. So hey, let's talk about some strengths and weaknesses.
Let's quickly look over the budget, because we've got a couple ways that we can Yes, we can make this deck much cheaper. Yeah, okay, but let's start with strengths and weaknesses. New hotness. I always mention that when we do a new commander, it's feather. People like that it's an angel, it's boros that were not right on the feather card, does it say attacky attack Ye. Yeah, you're still winning by attacking, but it's not a Boros attacky attacking deck. Yeah. Ninety five percent of games win
by creatures attacking and casual DH That's just how it is. But this deck doesn't just on the front attack with a million guys. I mentioned cards that I play in my ENCHANTERSS deck. It only shares one color with this deck. It's a bat deck. Neat and this this deck plays a lot of the same cards because they're enchanterss. But this one is gonna beat the hell out of you. I like that it's playing a popular character in a less obnoxious way. I find feathers really obnoxious. Yeah, and I like that,
So I like that they're doing it in like a cooler way. Yes, now, I further to both of our points just now. I like that with the deluge of new product that everybody always seems to complain about, this card gives us the opportunity to kind of exercise all of that new product. If I didn't want to spend one thousand dollars on this deck, I could find auras from the last few sets on the floor of the LGS, and I could get a feather from wherever for like ninety nine cents. Yeah,
it's a buck. It comes in the PRECN. But I don't need to spend fifty dollars on the pre con. I could just get a feather for a dollar, yeah, and enjoy the game in some new way. That is very atypical of Boros. And that's a strength. That's really because gameplay diversity and differing gameplay experience. That's like one of our foundations from years ago, right, Yeah, It's one of the things that we talked about here all the goddamn time. Three CMC commander good load to the ground if
you do do the vultron thing. Life link. So if you're always attacking, you don't give a shit because you still have a high life total. I think that much like in the way like destroying all artifacts is taboo, I think that people have forgotten a couple of good life gainer cards and a tech like they can you can hang in there, man like not just a life gain deck, but just to tap for amount of any color gain of
life. Yeah, those little those little things. Well, when people are getting their chips ins now they're not and their creatures are tapped because they thought, well, I'll get one or two or four extra damage in here, and all of a sudden, nope, I've gained it all back. So your math at the end of the game for me is going to be a lot different than math for everybody else who's at five or six, when I'm
still at like fifteen. One of the most devastating parts about a TRACSA is that she has life link ooh, Like, one of the things that makes her so damn good is she has lifelengk. Yeah, I've got the last strength here tell me it. Lets you kind of do the Zata thing without the Zata baggage, Yes, because that has got baggage at this point in time, and that's one of the reasons I took it apart. Now took it apart one of the original CEO classics alas a rip. Let's move the
weaknesses if you want it. I'm sure with all of the card draw spells that Zada and White could give you and the rituals, I'm sure you could make this a stormy kind of combo deck. Probably, I think you could. Right. You just need a ritual that targets something. Is there one of those it's gotta be now, I can think about the top of my head. In red or white, I think there's a green one where you get green equal to its power. But that's not doing We'd have to do
some research. But it's not as good as Zada for doing that. Yes, but again, new, different, exciting, refreshing, popular character. It's a freaking angel. We got other angels in the deck, right, so it's doing a meme thing is a weakness, and yes, it's manna intensive in a color pairing that doesn't typically do the mana. That's one of my weaknesses. This particular arrangement of cards is quite MANA intensive, and we're
gonna we're gonna make it even more so in the budget section. But I don't think this version of command or of Enchantress is as strong as regular whether it be Celesnia or band or Azorious Enchantress correct just because it doesn't have the sheer card draw and man of production that green based enchanters strategies have. Yes
and everything, but red can kill enchantments now, so you're yes. So, But that said, I love a challenge, and I'll specifically build decks that that disadvantage me in some way because when I win with that disadvantage, that's the challenge and that's what makes me feel good as a builder and as a player, I feel like a boss. So this would be a deck that I would like if I didn't already have an enchanter's deck. Neat,
Yeah, there you go. H moving on to the budget. Okay, this arrangement, this this stack of one hundred cards, So we've got a little card. Maybe've heard of it. I never heard of it. Cool, three hundred and eighty dollars magic the gathering land card. Dude. Okay, here's what it could be, and here we are all planes that card. It could be free. Yes, yes, you know we've got twelve planes, eleven mountains. We could go twelve and twelve. Yeah, poh
symmetry. Oh got like that? Got like that? I got another one? Maybe I heard of it. For the record, if anybody ever charges you for a basic land and an LGS, just slap the shit out of them and then never shot there again. Yeah, unless it's like a well, if it's foil or special or whatever. But if it's like a basic ass land out of the land station, they try and get you to give them money, tell them to fuck themselves. Yeah, okay, I got
to I got okay. Sarah Sanctum gives you a white for each enchantment you control, two hundred and fifty bucks. Yeah, cut it. You know what that could be? Planes? Planes? Hey, good idea free? Okay, I got one? Okay, replenish. It doesn't work with zada or zada, it doesn't work with out of two shitty eSATA, it doesn't work with feather correct. So if you don't have eighty bucks, it's an enchantrerosus staple and insanely powerful magic card. But if you don't have one,
don't beat yourself up. Play the suspend when we told you about earlier. There you go splendish. Yes, okay, ninety dollars. We've got thirty two dollars. Where the tutors in the deck is this is this? Okay, got them, cut them, got them, just put shiny Impetus and friends in, or just cut lightened tutor. That's the expensive one. The rest of these are all pretty cheap. They're thirty five cents three dollars.
I suppose right, cut them, cut enlightened tutor. You can save twenty Enlightened tutor out Shiny Impetus in boom, because that one's gonna ramp you and make you k not get attacked and or make feather bigger. Yes, it's gonna do all three of those things everything that the deck wants to go. Okay, I row us god a victory. Do we have enough protection? I think with fourteen pieces, plus the fact that our dudes have evasion and are giant, I'd say yes. Okay, so we could save twenty bucks
there. I think we could probably save another nine and cut Cigarda's aid. Oh yeah, because it only does one thing. He yea, It only gives aras flash. The flash is fine. It turns them into combat tricks, which is something that Boros wants to do and does feel very feather it does. But you know what, cut it? Okay, you know what. Let's let's I'm gonna leave the math the same in my template and pretend that we cut Cigarda's aid instead of all of the rest of the doers.
Okay, okay, last one. We got a smothering Tithe white Staple, one of the best cards in white ye and and real good with all the glitters when we when we fricking take out the plateau of the Sarah Sanctum, like, we're making the deck even more hard up for Mana, which Smothering Tithe can help us solve. But maybe there's targeted spells that we can copy that give us treasure tokens or that replace Mana, and when we copy them,
they can give us Mana on top of Manna. We talked a lot about you could replace I mean, this isn't incredibly budget, but you could replace the the sanctum or the plateau with Nicks yeah, Nick, those shine to nix and you could replace the smothering tithe with the Nicks lotus that taps
for devotion, because remember all of your tokens have pips on them. Yes, your devotion tappy tap stuff and many give you much mannas many of our white wind cons actually have white white in their casting costs too, so any devotion stuff is probably a welcome including deck feather has white white right honors, So all your rocks will tap for two right there. Boom, that's pretty good. Okay, you put three prison terms on a guy that's six mana
Oh yeah, prison term yeah, man, that's a good one. That's pretty good man. Now, okay, so what do you think about this before we do the math and I tell you what the new budget of the deck is. Okay, with our excludes, what if you did like prison term shackles and shiny impotents shiny, Well, I'm thinking about removal removal enchantments at one, two or three mana to replace the instant speed Casswarpen Jenner skift path to excellent swords. Okay, now we've got sorcery speed stuff where we
kind of need our commander to make it good is that. But with our commander it's really good. Though it's still sorcery speed that gives the cigar to aid some kind of reason to be in the deck still, but again it's removing the swords and path ability of the deck. I don't know, I think they're fine. It's not like you. There's not a huge removal package here, and sometimes something just gotta go away. Yeah, and the j
skipt and chaos wharper good for that. How often do you think that on on turn ten you go swords feather and copy it three or four times to get your whole board just to get some life or as no, to get rid of their stuff. Oh, I mean yeah you could sause it's a non creature thing that targets only feather and copy it to get all your other
stuff and then attack you with some non feather creature that I have. Yeah, you could do that with the enchantment, could do that with the swords path right, like yeah, because this feather still does the feather thing or does that a thing? It just costs manna. Yeah, though I wonder how many times that's the play, right, Like you've got a flying blocker that I can't get through. So I swords feather to get your flying blocker, then I hit you with my flying attacker. Well, I guess you
could just swords their guide. But what if they got two though, what if they got two flying blockers? What I should have said. I guess there'd be a wins of wrath in here too. Oh kill all the non enchanted creatures. Ah, fuck them. That gets worse if you start putting enchantments on our opponent's creatures. Though. That's true, But you know what, that goes back to the start of the show. What I said about, like, there's multiple build paths with this card. That's a strength.
You know what works out good is if they have shiny impotence on them, right, and then you use five man out of wrath the board. If the only creatures that are left are all fucking golded and giving your manna, it's perfect. Oh yes, that's the wood. Okay. So we cut Plateau, cut Sarah Saton, we cut replenish, we cut the tutors to cut a rose, we cut smothering tithe. We're pretending that we're putting draft
chaff, fucking enchantments back in here. Let's just be honest. Okays, we cut those few cards seven hundred and ninety seven dollars of budget savings. That's a freaking mortgage pay with people. Yes it is. We've made this deck for two hundred and forty four bucks, which is what a Commander deck codee beer beer beer beer beer beer. We did it. I love when
that happens. Oh, that's so good. And if you want to save five percent of two hundred and forty four dollars, go to Fusion Gaming Online dot com use promo code Ceo Summer, or if it's your first time in the nation and you're spending over one hundred bucks, like two hundred and forty four dollars, Ceo Perks promo code. You're gonna save some money. You're gonna get ten percent of that back on your accounts that you can use Coco Summer to buy more stuff. Very much so. If you need angel tokens
or Dice to track your stuff, Commander cookout dot com and whatever. The deal of the week is when you find this show and listen. Okay, yes there's things there that you want, probably, and then you can take the money that you've saved by doing all the deals and all the savings and you can go to Pile of Bones Bones Brewing code b some beer. Yes, very good. They are the official sponsors a Sidewalk Slam season two. And finally, big thanks to Anti Brando and the whole Patreon community for the
support for the show. Helps keep the lights on it. It didn't get us our new mixer board. The radio station bought that, yes, but we are very thankful Anti Brando longtime supporter. We've done a bunch of his decks because he's been a longtime patron. He came to Cosio Experience Minneapolis, and that's when we coined the name Anti Brando because well, you guys have
the same name. Is he coming to shit Cargo? Also? I think so he's not in our house, but I think he's coming because like it's in the Midwest, right, so so many people like live around there. We get the Wisconsin people, we get the Chicago people, we got the Michigan people, we got people coming up from Kansas City, we got people
coming from out west Man. So many people. So two or two till three thirty on Saturday, yes, uh an all weekend wherever you see people in Commander cookout shirts come and play there's gonna be us great games creators. We're gonna maybe get some lunch right in the venue so we can all eat, and it's gonna be a gay old time. We're gonna be there playing games. Unless I'm in line to buy the show. Secret Layer, Oh you know what I need? If anybody can frick and bring me a foil
Curtains call man. Nobody has that card. It's a foil common or uncommon from Commander Legends, and it was an etched foil F and M promo. It's black black like five, but it costs less for each opponent you have, and it destroys two target creatures. I need that card. I know that card. I need it. I know. Well, we'll see if we can find that's on my list. Let's see what we can do along with Dark Miss Printer. That's all I got, Uncle Brando. That's the
whole show. We've said thank you, We're gonna say it again. Thank you so much for listening, thanks for being with us. We're looking forward to seeing in Chit Cargo, and we're gonna be back next week with another very very very exciting episode of Comer Cookout Podcast in our theme so
