On on on ah. That was the longest we are rolling by producer Gary in the history of rolling. Yes, of the history of the damn basement. We are here. It's fucking basement, man, and it's hot. It's supposed to be cool in the basement. Not a chance, But we're here. CEO pre show episode for four field four for four. Yes, holy shit. Yes, we're brought to you by the wonderful patrons at Patreon dot com slash CECO podcast, whether they like it or not. And we'll

say the duffer An Avenue Media Network Studio studio. What sure, because like we're we're here, We're in the basement, yes, which is a place. I guess it does mean we are physically present at the facility. That's true, only in body, only in body. This is CECO after all. And classic deck tech a. Yes, we're gonna talk about a deck

from yester years. Is this like the last kind of Is this like the last one that kind of took over, like was so prolific through several formats And we haven't really, we haven't really talked about it on the show because I don't think it is. I don't think it is. I'll tell you I'll answer that question in a secon, but I've gotta I've gotta tell you a couple of things first, Okay, tell you a couple of things.

Okay, I got some rave and resounding reviews. Are our podcast on the longer pre show last week and short turnaround time, so we don't have a pre show winner. Don't turn it off yet. Yeah, we're gonna play the booster Pac game. But everybody liked the the audio version and the longer pre show, so I don't know if you want to keep doing that or not. Well, we can keep doing then when we have stuff to talk

about. I guess and you're shooting the ship. Okay, So the last back to your question, the last like deck to do the thing that this deck did? I don't think so well, just like I mean like the deck like this is. I can't say what it is or we'll give away who we're trying to guess. When you're trying to play the guessing games, you have to guess the commanders that you can win stickers and tokens and maybe magic cards if you really hate winning. Yeah, I guess today though you

got to guess the deck. You got to guess the deck, and it's a very popular archetype that started it's pretty long ago, like this arcat that has been around for a very long time, and it has a Actually this deck, it's been a pretty good reputation for having stuff in it in its colors. That is. Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on hold. We're going to talk about this deck, but we're not going to say the name of it. We're not going to say the colors of it

because that gives it, that'll give some of it away. You gotta let us know what that deck is in the comments below, like YouTube style, get on there if you're listening to the audio version, because I'll do an audio version. You got to get onto YouTube and let us know. Okay, so be victorious. You will win if you play yeah and shout ut to YouTube members that actually do that too, like who go on and like

instead of Patreon, they pledge on YouTube. Fantastic because that helps me, like condense all of the things I gotta do and check in a week. It condenses it and that helps and it helps keep the show going. So okay, this deck has been a deck longer than it's had its name, right, because this deck existed before it got its name, and it got its name in the set and block that it it was a thing in Standard right oh yeah yeah, and one one of us invented it. All that

is pretty brash of locally. Oh, I was the first one to play it, and I didn't get it off of the internet. Okay, So if you're a longtime CECO listener, you know that's I have mentioned that. Okay, it's one of the few times I've like stumbled into a deck that was like actually good by just like mashing things together. It's pretty cool. I got one. I got one in this deck. It was famous for

value nah out valuing people. I don't want to say much more. That'll do it, But I do have another hint, but it's very obtuse. At the same time that this hint, wait a second, is hint At the same time that this deck was like running amuck in Standard, I was playing like white Blue Enchantments with Sigil of the Empty Throne as the finisher. How'd you do well? Not good? Yeah? No, not very well? Hey, not good? It was the deck during the same time you

were doing your thing with this deck. My deck name was Stabilize that too, Yes, that was bad. Yeah, that was bad. I I kind of went on a run after that of just playing limited, oh man. But then it was into car Limited and one of my favorite limited formats of all time. That's another that's another hint you just gave. Oh yeah, yeah, after the thing that we're talking about car Limited, big hint. Yes, yeah, hey, let's talk about that for a minute.

Let's not talk about the limited form I have something that I'm going to bring up to you in publics that you have no excuses. Oh Joyce think don't need a shower? No, no, you're your sweaty but cra just it just smells in here because it's the damn basement underneath a fucking recording studio that's full of dudes. Man, That's why it smells. Smell everybody's butt a once. Man. The point is Amsterdam happened, yes, right, yes, and there's a pro tour there. Yes, Nadu took it down.

Okay, okay, oh yeah, the bird guy bird is the word took it down? Okay? Was it modern? Yes? Oh, I was gonna say, was it a commander proto? Absolutely not, because we be on that obviously. Anyways, The point is the deck has a callback to a previous deck called Cephalid Breakfast. Ye, lots of people I assume have at least heard that term before and soul cephalid breakfast uses cheerio things that cause zero, et cetera, et cetera. So people have been calling this deck

fruit loops. That makes sense instead of cheerios, because there was like fruity pebbles and their Cephalid Breakfast. There's a whole bunch of breakfast named legacy decks, for example. Right so now, now Nado, who looks exactly like too Can Sam, is the cornerstone of the most powerful modern deck as of the recording of this episode. Okay, and they're calling the deck fruit loops and I have yet to see on Thursday on our Facebook page, and to

do with a two can Sam painted on it. And I want to know why, So tell me Montel. I have no excuse. I'm waiting to die. See Okay, there's no reason for him not to do it, and he admitted it right here on the internet. I expect expect to see it on Thursday on our Facebook page. I'm stupid, you are smart, thank you, I am ugly. You are very attractive. That is correct. I have a tiny Wianer. Your Wiener is like three popcns stacked on top of each other. Scientific facts. Huge producer Gary says, do you

have aen to do? Actually? The reason that I didn't, the reason I've never painted one on the Facebook auctions yet, is because I get a lot of those cards just from people at the lgs like, hey, paint this will be awesome. I get some of them by ordering them at Fusion Gaming Online dot Com using Cocosa promo code, and I crack some packs and I paint what I get. Yeah, that's why I don't always have all of the staples. Here's where we're jerking the curtain back, as Gary calls

it, to kind of the insider kind of secrets. That's why I don't always have all the staples, right, she didn't open it to do. I did not open one, nor did anybody want to just give me one, because I think it's like twenty dollars or something. Is it pre pro tour like when I was ordering. Yeah, they're not inexpensive, that's true. Yeah, So that's kind of why. Plus sometimes like when people come to try and get affordable alters, because I do pride myself on being like

the most affordable professional altruist on the internet. Right, if you're not getting like bad ones on eBay, And when the auction has to start like at a way higher dollar value, like a fifty or sixty dollars starting bid because the card is from like Modern Horizons three and it's an eighty dollars freakin' umag or whatever, then people are like a little hesitant to start the bidding because

like it's a way higher starting amount. Right, you could call the deckdut loops loops, Okay, yes, And the only way you get to call it nadut loops is if you have a two can sam na do? And since everybody else is sleeping on it, you boy ze here at CCO podcast, got you covered, is all I'm saying. It's like six, I'm six z's in there. Oh yeah, Do you have a ND Of course

I do. Can I have it forgives for keep? No, damn it, of course I have a nad Okay, I'll get the nado from you, my dude out, pay some fruit looves on it good and from when this is recorded and then when I paint after I have them to do and then Thursday rolls around. I cannot guarantee that it's this Thursday, but it might be next Thursday or the next one from wherever the fuck the show comes out, because we're recording out of a sequence, and I have no idea

well, recording in sequence, just on a way earlier day. And we were recording on a Tuesday before a Tuesday at five a Tuesday night. Yeah, what is going on? Man? It's so sweaty. It's like the first nice day that we've had, like all summer. Yeah. Usually, and here's another curtain jerker for everybody that's interested. Usually we record on Saturday mornings. Longtime nationalits will know that, and it's like cool, calm.

Mostly we're hungover, but we're troopers, so you can't always tell unless we tell you. Yeah, and uh, breakfast beers from Pilo Bones Brewing cole Yeah, very important, very important for us on those days. Yes, it's key to getting us up and running. They have the best chocolate stout

I think I've ever had. It's delightfully and this is not me like advertising for them, because that's like kind of our job, but they, uh, they got a good chocolate stuff, and you got to pick it up now because you're not making it no more so, I know, I know. Okay, So when we go to Regina, that's why I bought a flat of it last time that was down there, a flat flat. I

bought like like one of those little flat box ye. Yeah, like it's got like they got the tall cans with four in it, right yeah, and there's like and there's six of those twenty yeah, twenty four of them, yes, yeah, correct. So when we go to CSO Experience in Regina in September, are they going to have it? I sure hope something. You know what, I don't know if I would get a stout in the afternoon after a bunch of sweaty magic plan all day, I certainly would.

I think i'd get like nice crisp, like prairie lagger, just like you could pound like fifteen of them. No, I want something that's so thick I can use it to oil my engine. You're going to say, as yeah, I don't need that. No sweaty, Yeah, I'm sweaty. I'm sweaty enough already. I don't need to loop it up. Geez. So, first day after the Assassin's Creed episode launched, like the review

right the not review Keel. No weeks ago, our good friend Keil, the coolest guy to come out of Regina, comes to me and says, hey, if you need me, like if you want to have somebody on or talk or whatever about like Assassin's Creed. He's like, I know everything. I love jerking off Iszi or whatever his name is, right, good, good, callback, that is the right name. Yeah, And that's that's what he told me. So I said, well, we recorded one already, like our first look, and I said, uh, if we

need you, we'll let you know. So then we do the review. Didn't didn't talk to him at all. I just swept him under the rug. And then he messages me. He says, yeah, you a bunch of idiots. Should have got in touch because I could have helped you with this or this guy's name or this. I could have told you about the bird or whatever, right yeah. And I was like, well, why I know about the bird. That's the guy that I knew. And then he's like I'm five minutes in and I'm like, these guys are idiots.

These you guys don't know anything. And I'm like, yep, I've been doing it for eight years gel. Yeah, we're not gonna We're gonna stop there. So there might be something coming up with Keilan the in the future maybe. Yeah. I talked to him a little bit on Canada Day, which was chronologically yesterday. Yeah, So was he calling you a dumb ass about Assassin's Creeping. No, he actually sent me a video of Assassin's Creed

three and order the name with the colon in it. Oh yeah. Now I still don't know how to say that word, but it means it's what it's It says, is Connor Connor. Too bad his name wasn't Colin because colon and colin. Yeah, but he just sent me a couple of videos.

We were chatting back and forth. It's like, maybe that's something that we can do, Like we can see if, like from a fan's perspective, how accurate or how pumped or how many big beats did they hit, Like yeah, like you're a big fan of Lord of the Rings for example, like they hit the fellowship, they hit the big flaming eye, Like did they miss anything? Were the characters that weren't there? You know, maybe that would be something interesting to look at for future universes. Beyond that,

you and I are not. Yeah, we got to get the nation involved. We'll put it out there like on the discord or all message. Like I'll just do like a group mass message out to like the patrons and put it on Facebook and put on Twitter and be like, hey, check out these polls. Are we can create a survey? Didn't you hear to work do that? And it was like so super successful? Loll yes, and no, we can say that even though we're in the damn network because

we're not affiliated. That's right. Producer Gary's like he's less affiliated with him than I am. Oh yeah, yeah, I suppose they can't. Oh, but now we got them, and now we're suckered him into the nation and when he'll never leave. Doesn't he have us though? Like word in his digs? Now I guess. So we're in the dungeons. Yeah,

right, that's where the fucking basement. God damn it. Okay, I want to go back to Assassin's screed just for one more second and talk about talk about Keel again, because he's he's like chirping me like I should have got him or I should have known or whatever. Okay, if he was offering to help, I'm going to reverse this a little bit double flip it

reverse like Missy Elliott style. What Yeah? Sure? So if he was willing to help, he had to have assumed that the guy with like the K G K Colin in his name, he had to have known that we were going to have trouble with that. Why wouldn't he be like preemptively telling us and wanting to help and like recognizing where we might be tripping like hazard recognition? Right? Have you ever seen workplace safety? Keel? Have you ever seen a kid fall just eat shit? I've got a six year old

boy. I've seen him do all kinds of things that involve falling down, and you laugh at him all the time, mostly every time. And you know why, It's because it's funny when people fuck stuff up. Right, If you told somebody, oh, watch that first step, as opposed to is watching somebody carrying a trayful of dishes just eat shit and fall down the stairs, stars, is way more funnier than like, I'll step over though. Okay, So imagine that we are to keel like a waitress bringing an

entire tray of beer is toss the best thing ever? Yes? I don't know if I could go to that. Well, he loves the nation, He loves Commander Cookout. He looks forward to it every weekend. He wants to see it be successful. It brings him and his friend's enjoyment for hours and hours and years and years and years. Imagine seeing us fall down, get hurt, try and get up, slip and wet beer, fall down,

piece of a handle of a schooner stabs me in the neck. Can you imagine what he must feel like, knowing that he could have prevented all of that that scenario, would just say, that is the only thing that I want. I want that to just be every YouTube video now it's just us eating shit and getting just falling, just mugs falling on us, mugs of beer falling into my mouth. Oh but like in a good way to

yeah, or the I don't even care. Look at some points, you know, I'll just it's good beer man, Just look it up off the floor, like I don't even care, you know what, when you're hurting. Just that's that's how we roll in the nation, all right. I suppose, yeah, yeah, I was gonna make a whole bunch of jokes about doing stuff on the floor of places that you drink beer, but it was on the counter for me. Yes, yeah, we're gonna leave it at that. We're gonna leave it at that before we end up given the

listener of an aerial disease. So this is four it is. Guess the deck that we're doing. Yeah, name of the deck, not the archetype, not the commander, but the deck. The name of the deck. And I think that we gave enough hints. App I think it isn't the is it's not the archetype that you don't have, just us the title of the deck. No, but yes, not the name of the deck that we're doing, but the name that this but the name of the deck,

like, just freaking guess it, like they understand. They're they're, they're, they're they're Like Burne is the name of a deck. Dark Depths is the name of a deck. Cheerios, like we discussed it, Sephalate breakfast. Yes, I like saying that, saying that, Yes, yes, you guess the name. You'll get entered to win.
