But in answer to the question, “Why infant baptism?” I will suffice it to say that baptism is less about “me” and more about “we.” Baptism has replaced circumcision as the sign of the Covenant of Grace. And just as the sign of circumcision applied to both infants and adults in the Old Testament, the sign of baptism also applies to both infants and adults in the New Testament.
