It's a short and sweet episode today, and our last FAFSA conversation. Quick reminder, the state of Michigan extended their priority FAFSA deadline to May 1st! So get filing!
Today, we're talking about the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRSDRT)! Very exciting! Kind of. We're going to talk about why it's great, and more secure, and helps with verification.
We're also going to talk about verification, because that's a tricksy process to deal with. We'll go through what it is, how to handle it, and why I am rolling my eyes about it. In fact, I reference an amazing Brookings article to enhance my eye roll power.
