Episode description

Teachers, counselors, K-12 administrators, parents, and guardians this episode is for YOU and it is important!

I am joined by the lovely Melissa Monier to discuss how important talking about LGBTQIA+ friendly campuses and intersectionality in the college search process is. We cover some definitions and ways you can have these conversations. We also talk about erasure and why avoiding these conversations can set students up for a bumpy ride.

Black Lives Matter. That is a fact. On our website (https://podcastcollegetalk.weebly.com) there is a link right on the home page to connect you with resources and ways to get involved.

COVID-19 has definitely thrown a loop into the college going process and I want to help in anyway I can. If you have specific questions, want to chat and brainstorm ways to reach and help students, or have some ideas you'd like to share on an episode or blog post, please email me at [email protected].
