Alan Murdie is a lawyer and psychical researcher who has investigated reports of apparitions, poltergeists and psi phenomena occurring in Great Britain, Romania and Colombia.  He has written and broadcasted extensively on paranormal topics for local, national, and international media and writes a monthly column on ghosts for the magazine Fortean Times. His publications include Haunted Edinburgh, Cambridge Ghosts and he has edited and in 2016 updated Andrew Green’s classic Ghost Hunting: A Practical Guide the world’s first book on scientific ghost hunting for the 21st century. A Council member of the Society for Psychical Research he is also chairman of the UK’s historic Ghost Club, originally founded at Cambridge, England in 1862.
