It's time for Coffee and Company, fueled by Thornton's on Sports Talk seven nine day. Now here's Nick Coffee. Whenever someone attempts to kill a former president and current candidate to become the president once again, it's going to continue to be a story. So no surprise. The situation from over the weekend in Pennsylvania is still a big talking point. And I don't you know, I'm sure that we're so urged right now as a country politically, and I think
we've ever been more that's the right word to use here. I'm gonna be careful. I mean, I feel like we've never been more divided. And I don't even think that's a matter of opinion. I think that's pretty pretty clear and it's a fact. But you know, I try not to take anything too seriously, not to say that politics and who the president of the country isn't a serious thing. It is. But if you are someone that maybe likes to get a good laugh to distract yourself from, you know,
the current situation. Last night, Shane Gillis and I can't think of the other guy who is the Yeah, Adam Ray is his name. I'm not as familiar with him but these two comedians went on Kill Tony, which is probably the most popular live podcast show on the internet right now. I mean, this guy, for those who don't know who Killed Tony, what is his last name, Tony. Let's see here he's become I mean the name of the show is Killed Tony. But he I learned of him from the
Tom Brady Roast. I mean, he's the guy who went a little Tony Hinchcliff is his name, and he went really uh in, he went further than most would in that situation with the Tom Brady Roast. And then I you know, I'd seen other clips of him on TikTok and didn't really know what it was. But he's a stand up comedian and he hosted last night Shane Gillis, who dressed up as Donald Trump and the other guy, Adam Ray as Biden, and it was hilarious. I mean, it was one
of the funniest things that I've that I've ever seen. I didn't know that Shane Gillis did a Donald Trump and he actually does it as good as anybody I've heard. And uh, I wish there were clips from it I can play for you, because I think you'd be shocked how much he sounds like Donald Trump and how much Adam Ray sounds like Biden. Although, man, with impressions, it's not as much the sound, it's it's the facial expressions
and that kind of stuff. And Adam Ray, who who did Biden, didn't look as much like Biden and sound as much like Biden as Shane Gillis did Trump. But man, some of the facial expressions that he had, I mean, it was, it was, it was insane, how how spot on. It was so really really funny, a little you know, I'm sure it would be a little raunchy and a little over the top for for certain people, but you know, I found it to be hilarious. And if you haven't checked it out, it's it's on YouTube, it's I
mean, it's everywhere. I mean, I imagine most pop culture sites and new sites have had some coverage of it because I imagine they had a lot of viewers. And you know, Shane gill Is, he familiar with him. John, I know who he is. I've not seen a ton of his stuff, but I know who he is. So we ended up watching his stand up on our drive to our last road trip. He went on when we went to Missouri and Arkansas, and I mean we didn't really watch
it. It was just on and you don't really need an actual watch to, you know, to to listen to good stand up. But he's funny, like I've never really understood the hype. I didn't really get it. But he's a very unique kind of funny like he I don't know, he's very you know, he's not animated. He seems kind of, you know, relatable, but he's funny. And then he did a show on he got his own show on Netflix that I ended up watching as well, and it was it was really good. I think it was on Netflix, wasn't
it. Heyes, called tires. So anyways, if you you know, if if you like to laugh at you know, the insane situation we've got here and again these I'm sure there are certain if you if you are really strongly on one side and you take it too serious and nobody can make any jokes and make any you know, have any you know, different view than it's probably not for you. But I clearly am not alone because it had last night. I mean just I mean, I think they said at one
point there were over a million people live streaming it on YouTube. So anyways, all right, it's our number two Coffee and Company. We are fueled by Thornton's here on Sports Talk seven ninety. Appreciate you guys hanging out with us. Two more hours left to go, so don't go anywhere. So earlier today, I think it was, or maybe it was yesterday, the SEC made it quite clear as Texas enters the league, they will no longer be able to cry and get flags thrown on their opponent when the opponent does
horns down. So in the Big Twelve, the horns down gesture was considered an unsportsmanlike penalty and it resulted in a fifteen yard penalty every single time it happened. But in the SEC, unless it's like over the top, and I don't really know how you would do horns down over the top? Is there like a mild level to do it? Is is there a you know, just enough level to do it? And I guess again there's an over the top level. I don't know, but officials are gonna let it go
unless you're just I guess, agregious with it. But the SEC Coordinator of Officials, John McDade, confirmed that horns down will not be considered an unsportsmanlike conduct in most instances. Here's the quote. It says, some sportsmanlike conduct needs to needs to fit one of three categories. Is it taunting an opponent? Is it making a travesty of the game? Is it otherwise compromising our
ability to manage the game? There's a difference between a player giving a signal directly in the face of an opponent as opposed to doing it with teammates, celebrating after a touchdown or on the sideline. To net all that out, every single occurrence is not an active unsportsmanlike conduct. So he compared horns down,
meaning McDade, the senior coordinator of officials. He says that horns down compared hornsdown to opposing players doing the gator chomp or land shark after big plays versus Florida or Ole Miss. And of course, you know Kentucky they do ells down quite often, even when they don't play Louisville. I mean, I don't think their players have been spotted doing El's down against a different opponent. Maybe they have. I mean, they certainly do it like in all
in everyday life. I mean, I'm sure when a Kentucky football player gets up to go to class in the morning, he can't leave the you know, he can't leave his room until he does L's Down. I mean, that's just kind of comes with being a part of the Kentucky football program. They love doing it. But I mean, I could never understand why horns down was viewed as offensive when none of the other gestures that you see are like I mean, I don't think anyone ever thought L's Down from Kentucky was.
I mean, I'm sure pissed off some Louisville fans, although I still believe that it actually is not something that bothers Louisville fans nearly the way Kentucky fans think it does. But either way, I'm sure there are some that are bothered by Scott Saderfield was clearly bothered by it. But I don't think anybody ever thought it should warrant like, well, he can't do that,
you better throw the flag. Like It's one thing to just not want your opponents to be taunting you in a way of you know, mocking you in what your you know, what your program does as far as how they celebrate, But I it just was so wild to me that that for years, horns Down was viewed as crossing the line. I mean, you know, I've seen people throw the Miami you put they put the U upside down to make fun of you know, Miami when they you know, when they stink.
I mean, you've seen You've seen players who were in the SEC that played for other teams. Who was it? That was it the Auburn kicker when t bow in the in Florida lost a big game in the regular season, when he went out there to the podium after the game at the press conference and cried and said, you know you'll never will never let you down
again, all that kind of stuff. There was a kicker who I want to say was kicking for Ole miss or Auburn, and he ran like the full length of the field and mocked them doing the gator jump, so like that that was doing what they do, which is I don't know, I guess, I mean clearly, I guess you're doing it to mock them, Like I don't know how you would reverse the gator chomp to where it's like
being made fun of. But it all's I mean, maybe because Texas really was the bully of the Big twelve that they you know, if they're offended by it, then everybody better not do it. I mean even Mark Pope, but he was a BYU. I mean, he was such a weenie at his press conference after BYU played Texas, just wanting to get out in front and apologize for there being a BYU fans student students with shirts on that you know, said horns down, like is if they had crossed the line
and said something, you know, racially insensitive or something like. I just have never understood how Texas was able to get bo I mean, it's fighting words for Texas people like, you know, you go and you cross state lines into Texas and you're from you know, I don't know somewhere else you you throw horns down, they might they're probably not gonna let you get out of the state alive. And I just don't know how that became such a sensitive thing for them. Does Indiana have like a you know, a not
in that sense. I mean there are like they do like the whole IU with their hand movements if you're looking the way I'm doing this on the camera, But that's not like play right, that's the same thing. It's more like a cheer cheerleader type thing. And plus I thought back to the Texas. I thought they were supposed to be like all big and tough, so like why why are they? I mean they they absolutely they absolutely showed how soft they were with how you know, I mean, they just cried about
it at all times. And and and it just be again like you could see, I can't think of any other examples in the Big Twelve where there would be, you know, a similar way to mock the opponent. But you could probably have guys taunt in a way that is clearly you know, against against the rules or further than what refs allow, and they may get away with it, but you you throw horns down. Nope, not happening.
And I just again that stuff makes it fun. I mean again, like usually if somebody's gonna do like horns down or l's down, it's because their arrival. And you know, obviously, if you're if they're in a position to do it consistently, they're obviously probably getting the best of your your team, which is unfortunate. But like you know, I beat him, don't let him do it. However, Kentucky has proven that regardless of what's
going on, they're going to continue to do it. I mean, Betty Snell one of the best running backs that ever played for Kentucky, and he had some good games against Louisville, But when Louisville beat him the last time, which gosh, it was a long time ago, twenty seventeen, I mean, they're down three touchdowns and he's he scored, he punched one in and you know, like two minutes left in the game and he's running all the sideline. L's down me. It's you know, I'm curious Scott Saderfield
never cried about it the way he did. I wonder if it would be used as much as it is. It has been used since then. You know, it's in the new College Football Game, right. I think we talked about that before, so apparently it wasn't going to be and then now it is. Is horns down in it? Or is that too sensitive for Texas fans? I don't know, man, I think I don't know.
I'm not a gamer, like I've talked about it before, like I can't relate, but I think they probably held off because I think if somebody was to do horns down in the video game, then your Xbox would explode. Because because it's just, yeah, you just get complete like back in my days when people had the standard Xbox or like the Xbox three sixty, you get that like red Ring of Death. I don't know if you know what
I'm talking about or not, but that's what happens. I think if you do horns down in the game, it just zaps it and you lose all access to play any video game because it's just it's just so over the top and so offensive. I mean, you just got you know, you gotta gotta be careful out there, all right. So let's see here the This is something I was going to get to you later. We might as well get to it now because I don't have a whole lot of time left here
in this segment. But the gunman who is now dead that that shot at at Trump on Saturday's name is Thomas Matthew Crooks. He's twenty years old. We don't need to get into him in his story because nobody cares. But I saw this earlier in the New York Post, and it it made me sort of sympathize with somebody in a way that I never really thought that I would. So there is a I guess a popular let me find the right, the right, I'm sure there will be a lot of watching the oop.
Sorry, that's I didn't mean. I didn't mean for it to go directly to his page. But yeah, there's a guy who has a YouTube channel called Demolition Ranch and he has eleven point six million subscribers. John, that's a big YouTube channel. It is. So he has his own clothing line that it's called Demolicia. I guess, I don't know if that's the brand, but there's there's a shirt that he that he sells to uh to
you know, I guess fans of his. Uh. It's a great T shirt and it has an American flag on the sleeve in the word Demolitia stretched across the chest and back. And the guy who you know took a shot
at Trump and who is now dead, he was wearing that shirt. And I just you know, if you are somebody that is a big influencer in some former fashion or you are or a celebrity and somebody does something just despicable, like you know, try to you know, try to shoot anybody, let alone somebody at a at a rally that you know you could have. You know, there's somebody else that's dead too, by the way, from
the shooting. So I mean it's you know, and you could have killed many people, right, I mean, who knows what that guy would have done had they not been able to, you know, to kill him as quickly as they did. So you're not responsible as somebody who you know, happened to have this guy as a supporter who wore your shirt. But man, that would really weigh on you, wouldn't it. This guy who is an awful human being that does a despicable thing, he did it with my
brand on that's a little uncomfortable, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, I mean it. It's in the link I clicked on. I thought was just going to take me to his website, but it took me actually to the video that this guy released. Let's see what. Yeah, So he put out a video yesterday, you know, just basically saying that it sucked to see that the guy who took a shot at president or President Trump was was a supporter of his and bought one of his shirts. And
he's a he's a he's a firearms influencer. So I guess his entire channel is dedicated to firearms and whatnot. But you know, that doesn't mean that he's in any way responsible. And I'm sure ninety nine point nine percent of the world does not believe that this this guy should feel any level of like, man, did I influence this guy to do that? But like I just think that would be That's like something I'd never thought about. But like,
let's say somebody I don't know. This is different because again he had he had, you know, a firearm of that of that caliber that clearly you know, was used to try to take out a former president who's trying to be the president. Again, like if you if you've got like a jersey on of a player and you just are you know, you randomly are involved in some kind of violence and you kill somebody, like, that's totally different. This is somebody who clearly put out put together a plan to go
commit some awful, heinous act. And I don't know, just I kind of I don't know this guy at all. I'm probably not at all somebody that would fit his demo for his his YouTube channel because I don't know anything about guns, never shot a gun, hopefully never will, don't think I'll ever need to. I'm not I'm not you know, against people who have
guns. It's just not my thing. But I did feel like, I mean that that would weigh on you, you know what I mean, like to know that like this this, I mean, you can't help it, right, You're not out there catering to this person, at least I don't think you are. But that would be a weird level of like, yeah, you said it best, John, It'd be uncomfortable knowing that, you know us, you may get people who have no idea what your brand's about,
and they may just associate you with anti Trump type stuff. Yeah, and that could be a bad look in some ways. Well. And again not to stereotype, but I would imagine there are plenty of people who are big supporters of this guy, who are Trump fans. I mean, I
just again hate stereotype, but let's be real here. I mean, i'd say a lot of people who are very much about you know, big firearms and and you know, just guns of they can you know, I'm trying not to make myself look like that big when talking about firearms, but clearly
I have no I have very little of knowledge about anything firearm related. But you know, like he probably honestly, I shouldn't speak for this guy, but I bet he probably worried that, like there's a good chunk of his base that like he hopes don't that you know, they don't take it out on him in some way, like maybe not support him anymore, because clearly one of his supporters was trying to kill Donald Trump. Here's a quote.
It says, as a lot of you guys know, and we were shocked and confused to find to find this out, the shooter who tried to assassinate Trump was wearing merch from my channel, wearing a Demolition Ranch T shirt. It says here that we don't have any we don't vet people who buy our shirts. I wish I could. I would love to keep people like that
from buying, wearing being associated with that article of clothing. I wish he couldn't get a shirt, but it happened, And says I think a big difference in a gunman wearing a pair of Nike shoes and a gunman wearing my T shirt is this brand is much more personal to me than Nike is to his executives. To see my name next to the shooter's name, I wish we could keep that from happening. Yeah, I don't know. Just that guy will be okay, I'm sure he's you know, he'll this isn't something
that's going to ruin his life. But despite put it this way, despite having eleven million subscribers on YouTube, he has now got more coverage than anything he's ever done because this person who shot at Trump was wearing his T shirt, you know what I mean, like that, and that's just not the way you want to be getting, you know, the peak of the you know the media attention. All right, quick break, we'll come back on
the other side. Keep this thing rolling along. It is Coffee and Company, and we are fueled by Thornton's right here on Sports Talk seven ninety. Happy Prime Day, everybody, John, do you participate in Prime Day? My wife is participating in Prime Day to help kind of build our classroom for the year for school. That's that's awesome that I would imagine. That's uh. I bet there's a lot of teachers out there that take advantage of Prime
Day to load up on stuff for the upcoming school year. So I'm trying to go back to the initial let's see here, because when I first logged in because my wife sent me something in an email of asking me if I think we, you know, we could use a new TV that's on sale, because we do need a new TV for our We put one of our good TVs outside on our back porch, which is covered, and you know, we spend time out there in the fall watching football and whatnot. And
it's nice TV. But the one we have in the basement is it's old. And there's some good deals going on. But when I go to just the you know, the the the homepage here on Prime, it shows me the amount of I can't get it to pull up again, but it showed me the amount of orders and packages we've had delivered this year so far with Prime, and I feel like, you know, it's excessive. One hundred
and forty seven purchases on Amazon to me seems insane. But then again, I don't know, maybe that's someone common because we don't really I mean, we don't really shop for stuff in stores anymore. If we need something other than you know, I mean, even our groceries, we don't shop in the store anymore. We have those delivered. But with everything being insanely expensive,
like how good are these deals? You know, you can see something that's you know, oh wow, this is thirty percent off, and yet you see the price and you're like, well, what did it initially cost? Geees? Like I've always been a little cynical when it comes to sales because when I see something marked down, like you know, I've always just had the belief that, okay, well you know, it's still not that
cheap, you know what I mean. Like there's certain deals we were like, wow, I know that is way cheaper than what I'll ever pay for. But all this stuff you steep plastered all over stores about a deal and something on sale, like it's really not that significant of a sale. And sometimes it's just them tricking you, claiming, oh this is on sale,
and you're thinking, Okay, well actually it's not. It's maybe eighty cents less than what I've paid every time for it, like I guess technically by definition is reduced, but like, I'm not really getting much of a discount.
I also hear that specifically, like on Black Friday, whenever you get like the new TVs and stuff like that that are super cheap, that the TVs that you're actually getting during those sales are inferior to the original TV that you would have gotten that maybe the same brand, same style, that type of a thing, but it may have an extra kind of defect to it, yeah, defect or just you know not maybe it didn't pass a certain
quality inspection and then they ended up realizing it still works, so they'll give it to you for a discoun I mean, I wouldn't put it past any industry to do something like that if they can get away with it, because you know, enough people will buy it, right so I you know, I'm sure there's plenty of people out there purchasing stuff, and you know,
if you're getting some good deals, good for you. But lately, I you know, Amazon never recovered from the pandemic as far as shipping, Like you can still get stuff pretty quick, Like there's certain things I'll order and I do have it the next day, But when you had like I think when we signed up for Amazon Prime, and it was long ago, we
did it because of the quickness. It wasn't because you could get it super cheap, but like I think, like pre pandemic, it was like almost anything you ordered you would get it in a day or two, and that it be in two days. I feel like was a real rare occurrence, and then you know, nothing was getting anywhere quickly because of the pandemic, and then Prime just never became what it once was as far as just getting
it right away. Now we'll say lately. Then I'm looking at some of the recent orders that we've had, like we have gotten things rather quickly. But and maybe I'm just not remembering it correctly, but I feel like when Prime became such a big thing in the convenience of it, it was mostly because no matter what you ordered, it was going to be at your house
rather quickly. In fact, there were certain items that that we would order and you'd get them like the same day, which I guess really isn't that crazy now, And clearly Walmart and Kroger and Doesmire do a home I'm sure they do something like that, don't they. If not, they're not being competitive as far as offering, you know, somebody to deliver your groceries for
you, I would imagine they have some way to do that. But I remember there was a big marketing campaign that took place, I guess a few years ago, and it was Walmart trying to let people know, like, hey, just so you're aware, we actually do we can give you anything that Amazon can, and we can probably get it to you quicker. But people don't have Walmart in their mind for that. They have Walmart in their mind for it being probably the grocery store they've gone to nearly their whole life,
or you know, the big superstore in your area. But you know, and that's always I think, going to be their brand. But I know we're not the only ones who order groceries and get them delivered now,
which I love that we do it. I do because it used to be such a hassle because my wife would go to the grocery and she'd be gone forever, and when I would go with her, it would be you know, torture, because she would go through every aisle and take twenty minutes, seemingly in every aisle pick up five different, you know, items that are the same thing, and she would inspect each one of the items to make sure she got the right one, and it just was such a pain in
the rear end. Well, then she started to have to go to the grocery with our kids, and she realized that wasn't really gonna be possible. So that's when she I think first ever tried to do the online ordering, and you know, I mean she just assumed there was no way she'd be able to get everything she needs and get the right stuff if she wasn't picking it out. And then she learned, you know what, it's really not
that difficult. Now. They mess up sometimes and they'll send you something that you're not supposed to have, and you don't have to give it back, and they'll sometimes forget what you ordered, and you know, you just have to let them know after the fact and they'll they'll end up getting it to
you the next day. But we've had like probably four different dinner like meals accidentally sent to us over the last year and a half or so since we've been doing the online ordering, which you know, it's actually been it almost feels like we're stealing from like two weeks ago. She ordered groceries and they arrived at like six o'clock, right as soon as the show ended, and
I got home and she was getting ready to cook dinner. I think we're gonna have tacos, and there was this humongous thing of ribs like that were you know, they hadn't been cooked yet, but I mean they looked delicious. She was like, do you want me to make these? And I was like, yeah, sure, and she did and they were they were phenomenal. So sometimes it's almost like when you do it, like it's not always gonna happen, and sometimes you won't get anything extra, or if you
do get something extra, it's something you don't want. And then again at times they'll they'll forget something that you know that that you need, and that's unfortunate. But I felt like, so far we're ahead of the game, like we've ended up getting out more than we've ever been shorted. And again, if they short it, just tell them and they bring it the next day. I will say this though, like my driveway is kind of a
pain in the ass. It's a humongous hill, a very steep hill, and for some reason they will drop the groceries in front of the garage door instead of bringing them to our front door. And I don't know if it because they're so pissed that they had to walk up that huge driveway and carry everything up to where they're thinking, Oh, I've already walked up this far, up this humongous hill, I'm not going to go up these steps towards
the front of the house. I'm just gonna drop everything in front of the garage door, which you know, we even put it in the notes, like hey, please leave it at the front door, not only because you know, not because we're you know, too afraid or too weak to carry them up ourselves from there, but like we'll be driving, like we have
to get out of the car and move it. We can't even pull them the driveway because they've just laid them out right there, which you know is very big inconvenience, but it's still is worth it and something that we didn't
even think about until recently. But if you ever go on vacation and you've got to make that trip to Walmart in DestinE or in Panama City or in Hilton Head, wherever you go, Like when you go somewhere for a week, obviously some people eat out, but even if you do eat out for dinner every night ever, you know, for a few nights or maybe every night, you're still going to need to make that trip to Walmart to get you know, things for launch, things for breack, fist booze, that
kind of stuff. And it's always such a hassle because it's usually so crowded in the summer at these vacation destinations. Well, having the Walmart mobile ordering online ordering for that alone is worth it if you only do it when you're traveling and you don't want to, you know, enter the chaos of every family on vacation at the same time and there's only one Walmart, right like having the people deliver it to your condo or wherever you're staying like that is
I mean that that makes the vacation so much better. I almost got arrested at a Walmart in Panama City one time. John, Oh, is this the uh cuffed and stuffed story? I think I think you've told this before, but I like the story. Yeah, I because again we forgot something.
I think I'd left my toothbrush or something, so we got to We ended up getting to Panama City, and after hanging out, you know, for a little while at the beach, my wife and gosh, my daughter was a baby baby at the time, they fell asleep and I knew I needed to run and pick up some stuff, so I ended up going. And she wanted some wine for later that night. So I went and got some wine, and I got a toothbrush, and I think I got.
I might have got a magazine like I think I got like the uh the Lindy's College Football Preview that that was there and I hadn't seen it available yet here in Louisville. So I got it down at Panama City, by the way, it's the last time we were at Panama City. And I ended up doing the self checkout, and as I'm leaving, you know, they came over to me, somebody who was working the self checkout and was like, Hey, You're gonna need to wait a second. And I'm thinking,
what what's going? Like, you know why? And they're on the radio and somebody's somebody is you know, on the walkie talkie telling them that, yeah, that's that, that's me. They thought I was somebody who had conspired with underage drinkers before walking into Walmart and I was sent in to purchase them booze. And I'm sitting here thinking like, not me. And then I realized, I guess I do have alcohol, but I have, you
know, a bottle of Arbor misted wine. Do you think I bought this one bottle of Arbor miss wind for a bunch of frat boys of them to go, you know, rage on the beach and get drunk. So once I realized like they were literally not gonna let me leave, like until somebody, somebody, you know, verified that I was not there to do that, because they really can't. Mean it's lost prevention. I guess they're not
like supposed to like touch you. But like you know, I've seen enough of the videos that service on TikTok of how they do catch shoplifters and how you know, you get arrested, and I wasn't shoplifting, but it is a crime to purchase alcohol for a minor, so I knew it was nonsense. I was getting growingly frustrated because I'm thinking, like they already had somebody down the way that said it was me, and like I'm thinking, well, it's my word against his. I don't know how I'm gonna get myself
out of this, but I guess I'll fight it. Imagine calling your wife did something to you. So finally, you know this this Barney Fife, you know, security guy walks all the way down from the other end of this huge store as slow as can be, just trotting, and he gets up there, won't even look me in the eye, and U and looks at the the associate of Walmart and says, yeah, it's not And I said, excuse me, and he didn't say anything to me, and the
guy was like, Okay, you're good. And this guy who was working for Walmart was like, you know, younger than me at the time. And I said, was it really that necessary? I mean, did you think I was? I mean, I have one thing of I mean, I have a bottle of wine, and I was. I was kind of being an ass at that point. And then the guy who you know,
wouldn't look me in the face. Then he did and he says, oh, I've stuffed and cuffed plenty and took him on a trip to Bay County, which I guess Bay County like Bay Bay, you know what, you know what? I ended up in Bay County Correctional Institute or or you know jail. I mean, I guess that's that's the county jail. And I'm
thinking, wow, and yeah, I ended up avoiding arrest. But and it would have never happened had I used the had I had I known about the Walmart mobile ordering, right, I mean, it would have never happened, That's true, all right, I would have never known what low testosterone can do for you if I wasn't educated by my friends at the Louis Vimen's
clinic. And I'm sure there are plenty of you that hear me talking about it each and every day, and you you know, it goes in one ear and out the other, and I want that to not be the case. I want you to hear me out because I know there are people listening
right now that are variety of ages. Could be, you know, in your thirties, could be in your late twenties, could be in your forties, maybe fifty, and you probably have some symptoms that are caused by low t but you just chalk it up as hey, I'm getting older, it's father time, right undefeated, and that's part of it. But it could all be gone. You could have all these symptoms removed, and you could be happy or healthier and feel better about yourself if you have the correct level
of testosterone in your body. I did not. I felt lethargic after workouts. I was really going above and beyond compared to my typical workout routine, and I wasn't, you know, gaining weight, but I just wasn't getting results. Something wasn't wasn't adding up. So finally, you know, I knew we had a great partner over at the louisvill Men's Clinic, and I said, hey, you know, and I stopped by, I talk to you guys. I feel like, you know, you guys be able to
help me figure out what's going on. And that conversation really changed everything for me because it made me understand that doesn't mean that I'm like old and I'm you know, about to hit a nursing home. It's it's very normal. When you get to be around thirty years old, the testosterone levels in your body are are not as not what they once were. It starts to decrease
and that can have an impact on you in a variety of ways. I mean, even even mental health can be impacted if your testosterone is low. I mean, you could be working out every single day at the gym and doing your part and you still feel like, man, you know what, I look all right? That look better than most. But men, why am I not really getting a good pump in at the gym? Why do I still have some belly fat around here? Why am I getting some man
boobs? And it could be because your testosterone level is low, So you know, I think a better way to describe it sometimes is, hey, I'm sure you feel fine because you know you're tough, you're a man, you're taking care of yourself as best you can. But like you could feel better, and you may not even know that your levels are low, so do something about it. Again, A conversation with him never hurts. And
maybe you're a maybe you're aokay and you don't need anything. That that's the case, then great, But you could feel even better than you feel, so again, Louivillman's clinic dot COM's the website. Five two four four four four thousand is the number. Give them a call. All right, don't
go anywhere. We'll keep this thing rolling along. On a Tuesday afternoon right here on Sports Talk seven ninety so, I was filtering through the text line there during the break and we had somebody who texted in last night that said, Hey, you know, I'm a podcast listener and I'm I'm enjoying the show, but I would appreciate if you stopped bashing people who play the new NCAA football game while I'm listening. I wasn't. I don't think i've bashed
anybody. I don't think you've bashed anybody unless he's taken offence to like the video game jokes when you play that sound, I mean, you know, that could be that could be it. But you know, don't be embarrassed by what you do either. Well I wasn't talking about anybody specifically, and that wasn't me who said it, but you know, and loll and look, I have a little bit of you know, phone with it because I feel like i'm you know, I'm missing. Look, there's so much excitement
and you know, joy that people are getting out of this game. I mean, it was building and now it's here and I haven't heard a single person complain about it. I mean, I'm sure if I looked hard enough, I could find somebody that maybe doesn't like it as much as others and maybe as underwhelmed with some features or whatnot. But like, it's getting a lot of love now that it's here, and you know, I think it's normal to want to be able to, you know, enjoy something that everybody
else enjoys. And I'm sure like if I had the game and I played it like, I would have fun. But it's just you know, I would never go. Actually, how many people do you do you think went out and bought a new system because this game came out. I bet there are some who have because I mean I considered it, but I know I don't have the time. I think I would enjoy it if I did. But and also it's it's like five hundred dollars for a new PlayStation. That's
what I was going to ask. It's like, what are they going for this day? And I don't know if you heard Billy Rutledge, but he spent collectively with a new TV, the new says the game like nearly one thousand dollars total, you know, but you know, getting more than just the system in the game he got. He bought a whole setup. Because
he's Billy Rutledge. I mean, if he's listening right now, shout out to you, you can clarify if I'm saying to the end, I mean, like to me that that just doesn't like I can't see Billy having the time to really just take advantage of that. I mean, I know, obviously you know he doesn't. He doesn't live here at iHeart, but he does work a lot, and I know he's got other hobbies. You know,
I don't know. I guess I shouldn't be that. Billy to me seems like somebody who is not a gamer, but you know gamers, can you know, I guess maybe there's not a not a stereotype. I'm sure there are plenty of people that I would never guess are you know, into video games. But man, that's just if I'm gonna spend that amount of money, it wouldn't It would have to be because I'm not only going to enjoy this game, but i want to get into gaming outside of just this
one, and I wanted to, you know, I want that. I want it to be my hobby, you know what I mean? Since the door in, maybe he starts exploring other game, maybe the new call of Duty for this year. I know, you know, people still are in that kind of stuff. Billy, Billy, Billy's growing up. He's I mean, him and Marissa are gonna get married at some point, probably have a family. He doesn't. Is this a crisis that Billy's got going on
right now? Is he trying to avoid doing the growing up stuff that's clearly coming his way by buying video games? I mean, and maybe maybe this is what the texter was thinking maybe maybe he thinks you're shaming him, thinking he's still being a child. Oh trust me, I know. I mean, I don't know what you're referencing. And you probably won't hear this until you know, you listen to the podcast tonight and play the game again.
And if that's the case, you know, shout out to you. But I would if I had to guess as far as where that came from, it would probably be my comments yesterday whenever I was just saying, like, you know, I don't have time, I would have. I would never have time to play like I don't have I mean not. And I hate being that guy that acts like, oh I am so busy, I don't have any time to do anything, because it's the biggest lie in society for
people is that they're too busy. I mean, it's one of the many lies that we always just hear people say, and it can be somewhat true. But like, you make time for what you want to do, you make time for what is important to you. I mean, maybe there are some exceptions where some people can't do that. And I know people are busy. Being busy is a real thing, but you know, I just you know, as far as the time that I have to, you know, do me as they say, right, and you know, just do things
that I would want to do and have time to myself. Like it wouldn't be like how long does it take to play one of these games? One game? I'd say it probably takes thirty to forty five minutes, and that's just guessing. I hadn't played one of them, but not intang and I don't feel like many people sit down and play just one game. Yeah, I mean that's what this whole like, the Dynasty of the Road to Glory.
I mean, they're gonna sink hours a day in this game, or at least there they want to. And honestly, that stuff's cool as hell.
The Road to Glory things what it's called, right, Yeah, where you create that's cool and the you know, the last time this game was available was twenty fourteen, and obviously the gaming world has changed a lot since then, and so has college sports, and it seems like all, you know, collectively, the upgrades in technology with the new systems and of course everything that's different within college athletics, it sounds like collectively it's made this game
like perfect for everybody. But I just, you know, I I wouldn't have time. And again, I know how that sounds like, Oh, I just I'm too. My time is too valuable for video games. I mean, I kind of feel like it is, to be honest with you, But that's not to shame people who have time that they use to play video games. It's just that I would use my time to, you know, I don't know, go to the gym or something. I'd say this though. If I had a PS five, which I earlier I mentioned,
I'd don't know. It was way too expensive for me if I was. If I had it and I had the new college football game right now, I'd probably spend the final two hours of my night from like ten to twelve. That'd be how I spend And most people who work a full time job during the day have that time available to themselves. Right now, there's no other sports going on. I mean, yes, there's the summer league and
all that kind of stuff, but this is the perfect time. If you're into watching regular college football when it's in season, or any other sport, this is the time to play it. I feel like, can you play on like PC? I feel like you can I've never played anything on PC like that, so I don't know, it wouldn't surprise me if you can.
Yeah, and look timing for me. I have an eight year old and a four year old, so once they're a little older and they can just kind of, you know, do stuff with go do stuff with friends. And you know, I'm at the age with my kids that it's just they're they're if they're not all over, I mean like they're they're always we're always doing stuff with them. It's just you know, at times they'll go to their grandma's house or their grandpa's house, and you know, that's always
great for us to get some downtime. But like in the evenings, you know, we're we're usually with them and playing with them or playing outside. And honestly, it's kind of a blessing because my kids have tablets like anybody else, but they don't just get lost for hours on their tablet, like they want to do stuff that's you know, not in front of a screen, which I think is a good thing. But I guess now that i'm
thinking about it, you just made a perfect point. Like I usually have to myself an hour and a half every night when everybody's in bed, and like, if I had this game, maybe I'd play it and i'd i'd I'd enjoy it. And one more thing I'll say before we get to break. I know we got a run. I have a very addictive personality, So I think that's part of me when I'm thinking about this game. If
I was doing it, it would be all I do. You know, yeah, it would overwhelm me. And just because that's my nature, that's a me problem. So if you can balance it out and you know, still be productive, still be responsible, take care of what you got to take care of, and then you know, in your downtime you can be an up becoming college football star that's being recruited by every player in every school in the country. It's quite a life, pretty impressive if you think about
it. All right, five o'clock hours next, stick around right here on Sports Talk seven ninety
