It's time for coffee and company, fueled by Thornton's on Sports Talk seven nine day. Now here's Nick coffee. All right, let's get it started at five o'clock here on a Wednesday afternoon coffee and company fueled by Thornton's on Sports Talk seven ninety. You're just now joining us. You're late, but it's okay, better late than never. And I'm still I mean, I'm I'm

interested enough. I don't know if if I've just fallen for you know, what a lot of people think is just an exaggeration to get people to, you know, tune into the news stations and all that. I would never say that, right because you know they'd never do that, which I choose to believe that they would never do that. But I also know that it

is good for news stations when you have everybody tuning in. So right now looks like the uh, the severe weather is in Grayson County until right about now, and our partners over at WKY didn't look like there's been much of an update you know, since then, so they did cancel a lot of the I'm not sure if there's like high school at Sport. I'm sure there's some high school baseball stuff going on, but uh, it is I mean, how common do you think it is where they would cancel before anything actually

happens, because I feel like that is kind of rare, right. It probably depends on the sport obviously for one, in the field conditions, but that I think that's where you know, that's where you you I'm not really

sure how you have to answer to. But if you're like if you are out there reporting what you're seeing as a meteorologist and what you are forecasting, and it causes cancelations and impacts people's livelihood as far as a job or you know, something they enjoy doing, like you know, a sporting event, and then you're wrong, Like I mean, it's not like you got to pay a fine, right the angry people, there's nothing they can do to you. But that's where I think you hear it loud, you know what

I'm saying. Yeah, so do it a lot with snow days nowadays too. Yeah, but it ends up not being that big of a deal. But I think that happens more in the smaller counties, you know what I mean, Like that makes it in the bigger counties, you know, they feel like they probably have more resources to where they could wait for something to be you know, right there on the way or you know so, but

yeah, I'm already seeing you know. Anytime I pop open Facebook, it's a lot of angry parents about sporting events being canceled and whatnot, and like, I get it, because nothing's happened just yet, and you know, there's a chance it could miss you. I mean, like I just looked. I just saw a wild video that I believe have been might have been

Jude Redfield from WDRB that posted it on Twitter. But it was a great video as far as just like the timing of it and the quality of it of a tornado that was you could visibly see a freaking tornado in Sellersburg. That's not that far away from like me in Bullet County. I mean it's not like, you know, I can walk there, but like it's not like we're talking and it's sanely far distance. And at the time he shared that the video was recorded, I know what I was doing. I was

outside walking with my kids and it was sunny. So you know, when you have such a that's something I never think about. But these kind of things like tornadoes, right because sometimes you can have a tornado storm and like there's a thunderstorm attached to it, but like you know, in twenty minutes, like there wasn't enough rain. So if the sun comes out, like you'd never believe that there was crazy weather within twenty thirty minutes, you know

what I'm saying. Yes, So if you're canceling like JCPS high school baseball games or softball games, you know you're doing that for everybody. But there's there's a chance that there's maybe two high schools within an area where they got they you know, it made sense, but like everybody else, they may have sunny skies. I mean, that would be a rare situation, but

it happens, you know, it's not like it's that rare. So anyways, hopefully everybody stays safe because I feel like, again the buzz here for this potential severe weather is up there. I mean, I mentioned at the beginning of the show on my way and it was sunny and hot outside, humid, but all day. You know, I went to the doctor this morning. The ladies that were at the desk while I was waiting to go back to see the dock, you know, they're talking about which meteorologists they

trust the most and who they like who they don't like. And it's because they were talking about the severe weather we're gonna get when I was leaving, you know, the dock on the way out, like let me know, hey, stay safe, Like he was concerned. Right when your doctor is concerned that I think you take that pretty serious. But it was almost like he was like, look, if you've got something you're coming down with, you can come see me, but I can't protect you from mother nature.

You're you know, so stay safe. And I took that serious. Go to the gym, the old dudes, you know, waiting in line to get to the water found fill up their bottle. They're talking about it. So uh, I just I can sense there being a lot of attention, uh geared up here, which you know, I'm sure it's for good reason. And obviously I hope nothing happens because that means everybody's safe. But I feel like I've turned into that guy, and I don't want to be that

guy because it's not anybody's fault. It's a great thing if it looked as if bad weather was going to be here and it doesn't. But also, like I I guess I'm just petty because I'm I like I also at times want to be like, oh yeah, what about that? Why'd you roll your sleeves up? Wineberg? Why'd you take your pants off? Because you wanted us to think it was that serious man, which I don't think he's ever done that. But am I too hard on on Winberg? No,

because you get uncomfortable when I talk about him. No, I mean so here I find it funny. I know the storms don't make me uncomfortable the way that they did whenever I was a kid. So sometimes if I'm watching the news to see what's going, I may watch Weinberg just to get entertainment value because I don't really Yeah, I know what you mean. It's it's

kind of like a laughing through the storm kind of thing. Yeah, and you know, some of the earlier said I should start a media feud, like not a fewd I'm not like, I don't know him as a person at all. I just know he's you know, he takes this job very serious, takes himself very serious, and I would I would imagine him being able to do this as long as he has. He's very good at it.

He's very successful. So I don't know him at all. I just know that he's you know, he's very intense when he delivers the forecast. And I'll go back. I think I'll remember this forever because it was like such a drastic difference, but really not that big of a difference as far as what was said. So whenever, whenever the tornado came and hit Glenn Mary in that Fern Creek area, which I mean, maybe my memory is off, but a couple of years I feel like that was one of the

I mean that was there were certain houses I think that got destroyed. I mean, it wasn't like widespread across that whole Fern Creek area, but like there were houses that were destroyed. So I remember being really worried. And I was worried because at the time, my mother just dropped off my kids and she was heading back home and she drives through that area to get to where she lives. She doesn't live in that area, but that's right there in her path. So I'm like, you know, and she never answers

her phone. So I'm calling her and I'm saying on the news, you know, Weinberg's basic got me thinking, yeah, well, at least I got to tell Mom goodbye? Did she dropped the kids off? Like, you know, cause he doesn't say that, but like it's just the the the delivery, right and the intensity is it's probably not something he's doing intentionally to try to scare people. But like I flipped over to wok why and

it's you know, it's it's it's John Belski. I believe it was at the time, and he's kind of saying the same thing, but man, he's saying it different. And it reminded me, Okay, I need to find somebody that will tell me everything I need to know, but also you know, not make me feel like I need to say some prayers before hopefully I go to heaven. Like he's Ski and Cardosi are really good about making

your yeah, oh yeah, because they're comforting. They are comforting. They give me comfort, you know, Like I put Kevin hard that yeah, oh yeah, Kevin's a man. Uh. Kevin Kevin's great uh. And Jude Redfield I really like him too. He's in the mornings and he's not on in the evenings or afternoons. But yeah, so I just would look cause here's the thing, like here's here's something I'm not going to win that

a fight against mother nature. So I'd rather not be panicked than just like let it, let it take me out, you know what I'm saying, Like, I'd rather not if it's my final few moments here on earth. Weinberg, like, just give me some peace, brother, Like, like, you know what am I gonna do? You know, I'm already in the basement. You told me to get there yesterday. I mean down here two days. Man, still waiting for this severe storm you've been talking about.

Man, Anyways, we'll move on all right for those asking, No no update yet on Great Osibor because he's I think still visiting Washington today and I think his visit will conclude either at the end of the day or maybe tomorrow, and then we wait to see if if he makes a decision. Look, these guys don't have to make a decision at any time. I mean, he's not in the NBA draft. I don't believe there's a deadline

for him. I think he could. He won't, but he could wait to decide the week before the fall semester starts, before he picks his school again. He won't do that. But like, there's no there's no there's no deadline for him, so no update there. But we did talk about Coleman Hawkins again, whitest name I've ever heard, but he's a player for Illinois, or was four years there, six' ten, guy, can stretch the floor, a good three point shooter. Thought a shot it at

about thirty eight percent last year. He's going through the draft process and he wants to stay in the draft, but it doesn't sound like he's going to get feedback that would make it a wise decision to stay in the draft.

So he will probably end up coming back to school, but he's already in the portal, and I think it was May Matt Orlander broke the news last night that the schools that are already at least early in the process of talking to him, if in fact he does come back to school, it's Louisville, Kansas State, Arkansas, and North Carolina. So clearly some tough competition there. But you know what I always try to remind folks is that right now, given the roster and who's been added, they can sell a role

that really I don't. I can't imagine any of those other schools can, like maybe Jerome tang at Kansas State doesn't have any bigs and that's what he's selling. I don't know his situation, but Arkansas clearly they got a lot of money. But it sounds like they are about to get a commitment from I think it's what's the young man's name, Casin, Yeah, Cason Prior from South Florida who is kind of the same guy six' ten and can shoot the three a little bit, kind of a hybrid big, just like

just like Hawkins. So if Arkansas lands Prior Trilion, Donovan says he believes that would eliminate them for the chances to get Coleman Hawkins. All right, so Reddit, You and I have discussed Reddit before. I'm not active on Reddit, and I don't believe you are either, but I at least now have a better idea of what it is. And there are like these communities

within Reddit that are essentially like you know, threat message board threads. And there's one that's become really popular that oftentimes like it'll go viral and other mainstream websites will will share it and you know, write about it, and that

is am I the a hole. It's where normal folks will throw out a situation because they feel as if they need, you know, they need to get satisfaction from the internet, if they're a jerker or not, which is a wild place to go get that satisfaction, because you know, the internet's a savage place. But oftentimes there are scenarios where I think it's like a good question, like, you know, should this person feel like an a

hole? And this is one that like, I really don't know what I would do, but John, you and I are both married men, so I'm gonna I'm gonna get your thoughts on this. Okay. So there's a woman who is married and she has a friend whose career is a psych that's what she does. She's a psychic, which I'll save that for a different day. I don't know if I believe in that, in that in that

whole stuff, but she's a psychic and that's what she does. And she told her friend that that that her husband was having an affair and she didn't have proof other than her psychic abilities were telling her, so you know, he wasn't and she never believed him, you know. Therefore, she went through divorce, Like she went through the process of filing a divorce based off the fact that her psychic friend who she believes you know, said he was

cheating. So he later realized that his wife, I guess soon to be ex wife, has realized that her friend was full of crap and that this was a big mistake, and she feels really bad and she wants to call off the divorce again that she started. She proceeded with the divorce, but he's like, oh, I do not want to be married to you at all, because I can't believe that you thought that you thought just because of

you know, psychic vibrations. And she also he also shares some details that her friend, who he names Anna, she's a self proclaimed gypsy and a psychic and these two met in college, dated lived together for a couple of

years, don't have kids. At their wedding, he ended up meeting this friend that later became a psychic, and you know, he tells a story about how at their wedding that's the first time they'd met, and she demanded to read his poem before like she would sign off on you know, her friend getting married to him, Like total total nut job for being honest, you're just my thoughts, you know, I think she's a nut, But you know, he's like, no, like, I'm over this. I

don't have the fact that you, I guess, believed this lunatic. I don't want anything to do with you. Do you think he's the A hole? He is not the a hole, it's the psychic. Yeah, but I think the and the wife is also a hole or just a just a character. Yeah, not that I'm not a naive human being, but like to really be sold that your friend is a psychic and just taking her word for the fact that your husband was cheating supposedly and not even vetting it that

kind of thing. Well, I guess she did vet it, but like just you know, I can't read the entire thing here, but she went through things to try to catch him and still like you know, couldn't. But yeah, I mean he laughed it off, and that was the one thing that he mentioned that she you know, felt like maybe he was lying.

Is because he didn't like, he didn't take her serious. He didn't really go out of his way to defend himself, which I think that's a I'd say that's usually the sign of somebody that is innocent that almost thinks like maybe you're joking. But if I was him. I don't think we'd be married that long where that that Like, I just can't imagine my wife ever trusting a psychic over anything. But I also feel like it would be really like, I don't know, it's kind of betrayal in a way, especially

when it's somebody who you like. The average person like you and me will question what they're doing for their profession. Like if my wife believe that from a psychic, I would. I would be bothered, But like if she threatened to divorce me, I would. I don't know what I could do to change her mind. I think this guy was more so just a like but like you're a nut job, Like fine, follow a divorce, I

would. You know, I've been with my wife for longer than two years, like they've been married, we have two children, like I would. I can't see this ever getting to a divorce, unless, of course, you know I was lying and she was able to prove it or something like that. So I can't really like, I can't relate because I just can't imagine getting a divorce, but it does happen, and you know, everybody's different. But the realay hole, as you said, is, is the

psychic person because I'm not really up to it. I don't know, like that does that industry? Like can you be a psychic and have thoughts in whatever you call it? And he's and be wrong though, Like I'm asking, like do you do you know? Like, hey, six out of every ten things I see are true, so I'm a good psychic, like you know, So I mean you know what I'm saying, Like, yeah, I is there an accuracy? Yeah, because if you couldn't prove it and you're a psychic, like is it just like there's no Again, I

don't I don't believe in psychic I don't think that's a real thing. Just my opinion. But if it's truly to where anything you see you just know is for sure real, then it's a different conversation. But like if you know it's at times you're getting good, you know, good psychic vibrations and sometimes it's kind of foggy, so you don't know. If that's the case,

then like you just stay out of it. You stay out of it because I mean I've I've had a situation not just like this with somebody that I know, no psychic involved at all, nothing like that, but it'd become kind of a thing, you know, to where people were suspecting of somebody doing that, you know what I'm saying, and a few of us kind of thought, maybe there's a chance, and that looks a little suspicious.

But you'd never utter a word about something like that with that kind of an accusation unless you knew, because that's ruined someone's life, right, like this dumb ass did that has psychic ability according to her, So the ones that usually end up getting a lot of attention or ones like this where it's quite obvious if you are or not an a hole. But like I think a lot of folks either listening to this now or that have read this thread

on Reddit are thinking who would listen to like? Who would believe that? Like? Who would believe that just based off of the fact that your friend is a psychic and said it was happening. One easy way I feel like you could test a psychic is to just go to them, and you'd have to be very You had to be very composed to do this, and while they're asking you questions, don't tell them true answers. Yeah, and see if they're just you know, going along with it, or if they call

you on your bluff. Yeah, I mean I sometimes wonder how real these are just because I can't really I just can't see a scenario where that would be really like that would really happen because I'm reading more into it now, just kind of rolling through it. And she hired a private investigator that she paid a lot of money to In six months, he looked into it and he found zero evidence of it like that would make it to where And I think that might have been from what I can gather here, that was kind

of like where she finally was like, all right, I was wrong,

Well you're my friend was wrong. But at that point, like if it's a six month thing where like he's aware that you think that and y'all are kind of just going through it because he can't you know, you don't believe he's being honest and you're talking about going through with a divorce, like you know, damage is done at that point, you know what I mean, Like the fact that it got to that point, yeah, is is is an issue, but you know what, I know, we got to get

to a break. But I'm sure there are some really unbelievable stories that are true as far as how couples or even you know, couples that were married, like how it ended, you know what I mean, like what led to something? Yeah? Something just kind of like you know something. I mean, there's obviously there's a lot of things that that unfortunately are are common

when people do split up, especially ending a marriage. But I'm sure there's some that are like, wait a second, that's why you guys aren't together. Wow, It's like Tony even Enni said the most expensive argument he ever got in. Yeah. I found out that that was real on the air. We were doing a spring football pregame show. This is like a year after I'd been with the company, and I thought it was I thought Dave Jennings was doing Dave Jennings things and just kind of like, you know,

making a joke. And then we went to break and I was like, wait a second, like you've been married forever and he's like, oh yeah, but like we're there was a there was a little while there we weren't And I was like, so you were married, got divorced and got back together, and he said most EXPENSIVEI we ever got in, which makes total sense. Man, all right, let's get to it break. We'll continue this. This is a Sports Show. By the way, you just joined

us. We are going to talk some sports. We love sports, nothing but sports talk on Sports Talk seven ninety. So I haven't I haven't seen anything official, but it sounds like, uh, I mean, you won't believe this. Trent Noah, He's going to Kentucky. John who would have said? Who would have saw that com I mean, how how did Mark Pope pull that off? I mean kids from from Harlan, Kentucky, Harlan

County, Kentucky. All he sees is big blue. I mean yeah, but I mean Louisville and Tennessee were we're all in and Mark Pope came in and just to me, when nobody thought they had a chance, Mark pull, Mark pull pulls off the miracle. I mean, this guy's gonna be problem for us around here. Tell you that because you don't just go to Harlan, Kentucky and get a kid to commit to Kentucky. You don't just just happened. Okay, Like I'm a little worried. Now, can we

get Calip Perry back. I thought we're gonna little I thought were getting a little bit of a break here with these elite recruiters in Lexington, cheese. Gonna be another long fourteen years for us. Yikes. I'll move on, all right. So I have fomo, but I think somebody has helped me. So Penny Boone running back who transferred and left Louisville and then you know, didn't have anywhere to go because he couldn't get into school, not because

he has a bad GPA. He might have a bad GP, I don't know, but like you know, it's guys at Maryland taled a Louisville and then you know that type of pattern as far as you're your transcript and what classes you take in credit hours, that kind of stuff. It's not a shock that, you know, to be able to transfer and progress towards your degree, that you're already you know, pursuing as a student. It didn't

add up with a lot of schools. Well apparently he did find a spot at Central Florida, but you know, on his way out he showed his rear in and I think Jeff Brahm again would have never I mean, I don't believe he would have ever considered letting this guy come back after he tried to go elsewhere and couldn't and you know acted the way he did on social media on his way out and clearly wasn't a good teammate. And you know,

I'm sure more stories will come out about that kind of stuff. But when I say I had fomo, you know, he took a shot on social media that I felt like the old guy that doesn't understand pop culture with the younger crowd and like, don't get the reference. But I tweeted that. And now big thanks to whoever this is on Twitter. Let me find your your your handle here so I can give you some credit. Five to two reel is the Twitter handle and then the O is an actual O on

a zero. But the picture, and I'm gonna try to lay this out as best I can for a radio audience. The picture is Paul Walker wearing a red shirt that somebody has photoshopped the Louisville logo on it. And this is a scene from Fast or I guess Too Fast and Too Furious and somebody photoshop Penny Boone's face on Tyreeese. Isn't that who plays in Fast and the Furious? I think that's who it is. And he's got a sling on and he's got a bunch of stacks of money like in his in his waistband

and you can see it. So I didn't. I don't know what I mean. I've seen Too Fast and Too Furious, but I mean it was probably when that movie come out. A movie might be older than you early two thousands of I mean, have you seen it. I've seen a few of them, but I don't think that was one of them. Too Fast, Too Furious. I kind of feel like was was at the time. I mean, they've made thirty of these, I feel like, but it

was a big, big movie and it was good. But again, I haven't seen it in forever and it was like and it came out in two

thousand and three, so it is twenty one years old. So this movie, I mean, heck, this movie is is is younger than Penny Boone or older than Penny Boons anyways, somebody has shared the clip that explains it, and it's I guess the end of like the movie where Tyrese is hurt and you know he ended up getting the job done and he shows Paul Walker that not only is he you know, is he okay despite being injured, he got a lot of money. I'm gonna I'm gonna play this if this

car John, don't be mad if we have to have the dumbune. Okay, I can see empty chase and way home. You're no more either, bre So I guess you know, they got the bad guys, and they kept a lot of the money that the bad guys were, you know, dealing with for themselves. God, I sound really white right now. So according to this gentleman on Twitter, who I believe, he says that it's Penny implying that he was able to finesse the bag off of Louisville in the

process and never played and still got money. That's that would make sense, right, because Yeah, but here's what I just find to be insanely idiotic. Nobody can view that situation, Louisville fan or not, and not think that Penny Boone has like handled everything incorrectly. If you wanted to transfer, you wanted to transfer. But you know, he claimed that it was about

money and still is claiming that. But now he's saying he did get money with that with that social media post, and he like he wants to be a villain, and that's cool. But what I think I remind myself every now and then probably should remind myself more than I do of this. When you are going to post something on to Twitter specifically, but really any social

media platform, sometimes you just want to share what you think. But if it has no potential possibility to benefit you in any way, and the only scenario is that it could bring you trouble, why would you do it? Who's your audience who thinks like you think? Central Florida knows the specifics of the situation at Louisville where they're going to like jump in, Like I don't

think Central Florida feels as if they stole a player from Louisville. Central Florida got a player because he couldn't get into school anywhere else and he left Louisville because he didn't like where he was on the deb chart. And instead of admitting that, he's claiming that it's about money, so like he's not going

to be an NFL prospect. But if he was, like that, you look dumb, like you look you look stupid, and you look childish, and that can only be a bad thing, right, Like, some things can just be kept to yourself because again, sharing them it might make you feel better briefly, but there's a good chance it's just gonna make you look dumb, and maybe you don't care, but like you should care. You're somebody who I would imagine hopes to play professional football someday and if you're good

enough, it won't. This is not something that's going to keep that from happening, but like, this is something that made you feel like it was a good joke. But like nobody. First of all, I don't think anybody would get it unless they're unless they're on message boards following the Penny Boon transfer out of Louisville, and I don't think many people are. But he clearly wants to be like a villain towards Louisville, which you know, it's working, you know. I think a lot of people are gonna hope he

doesn't have a good year at Central Florida. So we'll see. But like you know what I'm saying, like what, like who's he sticking it to there? You know what I mean? Like who is Like I think I said it the day that we played his his sound is like you already laid it out, Like there's no reason for anybody to do that, especially at that age. It doesn't look good. Yeah, well and you look,

you look really childish. Yes, this is supposed to be coming off as professional, especially in this day and age with college, and look if you are, if you are there, like even if things didn't go right and you felt like you were misled about something or you felt like the coach wasn't fair to you, you don't stand to benefit at all by publicly airing that out because it's it's unprofessional. And here, you know, here's the thing. These dudes are pros now because they're being paid. We got to act

like it's not for play, but it is. We know that. So, I mean, that's just kind of one of those things that like if he'd have posted this while he's still looking for a school, a school probably still would have taken him, but like they wouldn't think that that was cool. They would probably ask him about it, and he would probably have to tell them, Oh, I was being I was being stupid. I was

being you know, I was just trying to be funny. Well, you know, do they want a professional who's gonna put in work and be a productive part of their program or do they want somebody who likes to be stupid? And I can't claim that he was a locker room problem because I can't I don't know that. But when Jeff Brohm basically told some dudes to get you know, to leave because they were being locker room problems. I don't mean like they were starting fights. They were, you know, committing crimes.

But you can't have bad energy in your locker room, and if you do, you find a way to weed it out and get rid of it,

or you correct it. And he and some of the other guys that transferred, especially those that only were here for a few months, they were they were honestly, I guess they knew they were going to leave, so for a few weeks there towards the end of spring, they were trying to create problems and like lie about money and get other players talking about how much money they're making, how much money that player's making, so then they would

be there would be infighting. They were just trying to cause trouble. And that's one of them. I'm not sure which one of it was, but like before the spring game, they were in their pads in the locker room doing l's down on their Snapchat story or Instagram story, like just clowns, Like again, who thinks that's funny? Who like how do you stand to benefit from doing that? And some people don't care. They hide online behind

an account and do things like that. You are somebody that is a high level college football player that need you should be You may not, but you should care about how you come off to people, because sometimes it's unfair. Sometimes context isn't there when it's needed. But I mean, and look,

I need to remind myself of that at times. Like, you know, I think most people realize I'm very sarcastic on social media, but you know, at times I probably shouldn't be, because even though I think it's funny and a lot of people might, you know, find the humor in it, some others might just to think I'm you know, the worst. Which there's one thing I just can't live down. I can't let it go.

Like there are people who truly still believe I'm a Kentucky fan, like because I'm friends with Matt Jones and because you know, I was hard on Louisville whenever Kenny Payne was here. Oh he's a guy, he's a Kentucky plant. It's from Bullock County, you know, where you a Louisville fan like, and that I will There's never gonna be a time where I won't feed into that because it's beyond ridiculous and it fascinates and entertains me to know that

people actually believe that. So that's right, that's right, gokats. I'm so happy they just landed. I mean, how did Mark Pope go get him? How did he do that? I kind of magic does he have in his back pocket? I mean, look, can they get cow back? Because Pope's gonna get everybody. All right, let's talk about my friends. My partner's over there at Etland and England, because when it comes to buying and selling a home, that's who you need to trust for a variety

of reasons. One they're going to help you through the entire process, make it as smooth as possible. I've always and still do. I've moved three times in my life, you know, as somebody, you know, as a homeowner, and you know each time it was good for us in the family. But just the it actually ended up being rather easy. But the thought of everything going into like I mean, like I still don't even know what escro is, Like, that's how big of a dumb ass I am.

I don't even want to get involved in that, you know, but it's important and you know, luckily my wife can help. But also you know, when you trust Elan and Needland, there's no need for us to be that worried about it because they're going to make it as smooth as possible. Right, we got to sound some paperwork, we got to show up to like closing, but a lot of it it's a breeze. But that's not the only reason why. That's who you should trust when it comes to

buying or selling a home. They are going to help you keep a lot of your hard earned money in your pocket, and that money can come in handy when you're moving, right, maybe pay somebody to move for you. That's because they have a one percent listing that's right. They will list your home for just one percent. As you likely know, the market rate for listing your home is three percent for the listing agent and three percent for the

buyer's agent. As your listing agent, what Etlin is going to do is list your home for one percent and offer the buyer's agent two and a half percent. That's a total of three and a half percent versus the market rate currently which is six percent. So for example, your home sells for three hundred grand, You're gonna walk away from the closing with seventy five hundred dollars more of your hard earned money in your pocket because they did this. It's

a no brainer. It's eating an eatlan and give them a call five oh two five nine nine twenty eight hundred, or you can check them out online at eland dot com. E d e Elien right quick break will come back and wrap it up on the other side. Right here on Sports Talk seven ninety. I kind of recognize the voices here, but I don't know the song. Who is this? So the song is Love Walks through the Rain and it's a duet with Trace Adkins and Melissa Ethritt. It sounds powerful,

John, It does sound powerful. It sounds powerful. Good stuff there, my cry, good stuff and John, well done today. For those who didn't notice, each song that has brought us back from break podcasters won't know. But each song that John has brought us back from break, uh has has been has been a song about storm rain that kind of stuff. So well done, well done, all right, so real quick last thing on the Penny Boom thing, I mean that was just a really stupid thing.

To do, because I don't know what they'll end up doing. But I was talking to somebody who was listening at the time just about his anile thing that said, because of what Trent Flowers did leaving, I guess getting some money, you know, and never playing. How they do it is a lot of your nil stuff through the collective is through like appearances, Like there's organizations, corporations, businesses that that partner and you as a play and it's

all a facade. I mean, I'm just being honest with you. Like they're not like they're helping you'll get players. They're not like, hey, we'll give you this money because I want your backup linebacker to come and talk to my corporate team. They'd love to get some great life career vice from a nineteen year old college football player as they are, you know, in their fifties as professionals in their business. Like so, but that's how you dress it up, right, Well, now it's it's stretched out and in

writing. You have to honor those commitments to be a part of those things, and if not, you have to pay back money so or you don't

you know, get the money. So what I was told was that nobody wants to be in Nobody wants to be the school that's going to, you know, take money from people because you just don't want that, right, Like, you don't want to be the school that looks like you have to go because that's the dirtiest part of the nile stuff here is that, like it's all, I don't believe any of the amount of money that you hear.

And you know, perception is so clearly a factor, and that that's why I think everybody exaggerates it because you don't want to be believed the school that has You don't want to be believed to be the school that has the money. That's why I think strategically the pat Kelcey kicked the campaign that they launched with Glow Brands to kind of raise money. It was a very you

know, it was real. Loisll did raise a lot of money through an il, but it also created attention in college athletics where people were like, damn, Louisville fans are really putting up money, and that gets you at least maybe an answered phone call from a recruit that hey, I saw Louisvill's got the bag. I'm gonna answer the phone so yeah, but so you perception to matters so much that you don't want to be looked as cheap.

You don't look like you got to go get money back from somebody. But when you're gonna be petty like that and basically claim, like to almost like taunt that you got money and you never played and like you're laughing at them, like that's where they probably will like, you know, let you know what you signed and that you do owe them money. So I just it's such a stupid thing to do, because again, what is the win loss

breakdown on that? How is that helping you? It could only hurt you, and it not only made you look foolish, like it might actually make it to where you you you don't have any money from Louisville because they're gonna they're gonna get it back. So anyways, all right, any updates on whether you've seen anything, John, I haven't heard anything, which doesn't mean it's not crazy. We can't see outside. We're in a cave. Yeah, I've looked at percentages. Looks like between now in the next few hours

is when it's supposed to be the worst. I don't know how whooee, Sorry, I was going to WK why to try to see if they don't know, I don't know how bad it's actually going to be. My bet right now, I'm not a meteorologist, but I think it's not going to be much. I think you're qualified, in my opinion. I've seen you checking the radar. Everybody could be wrong. You're so I can get paid to be wrong like they do so modest man, like you know that your

true passion meteorology. You're gonna hear just before my first dream job when I was a kid was being a meteorologist. I don't remember when I grew out. I was. I was gonna say, like, what do you remember as a kid? Like what led you to want to do that? I think I was just always obsessed. I remember I told you earlier in the show, I was scared of storms back when I was a kid, but I was I was obsessed with it. I'm still scared of him now.

At times, It's like the obsession was also a passion, even though I was afraid of it, and then I eventually just didn't want to do it

no more. Yeah, because then you realize like, yeah, nah, I can and sound fun and to be fair like I don't have the pride to know that I can put in countless hours of like whatever they you know, the work to try to figure out what's going on, and like you can be dead ass wrong and that's just kind of how it works, the chase, like until they get one correct and that's what they're that's the fulfillment.

But then you got to also be a sixth son of it. You know what if like yep, told you guys, eight fatalities and you doubt it, if it was this severe, I'm going to bed smiling to night dead people, Like there's no way you could look at it that way, right, Like it's just you know, like you can't dunk on anybody because if you're right, then you're the a hole. That's like, yeah, told you guys. None of you guys are you know, gonna get power

for the next two weeks laughing at me, I'm laughing at you. Yeah, all right, have a good night, everybody. We're back at it tomorrow.
