Episode description

Impostor syndrome (also known as impostor phenomenon) is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud".  The impostor syndrome can affect anyone no matter their social status, work background, skill level, or degree of expertise.

Studies have suggested imposter syndrome can lead to a drop in job performance and job satisfaction while increasing burnout. It’s also been linked to anxiety and depression

On this episode of the podcast, the Sharp Best Health hosts discuss the symptoms of the impostor phenomenon, what causes it and more importantly, how to overcome it.
