So Disney, I can't believe we've reached lesson twenty of our Coffee Break Japanese course. It's gonna be your birthday today and you're going to sushi restaurant to celebrate your birthday with your family. E this n okay, let's have a go now. As ever, we should highlight the fact that This conversation we've prepared in advance, and I do not suddenly start to speak excellent Japanese.

But let's try it. Let's see how we go. G San, you've got a very important role in this uh in fact you've got three roles in this conversation. That's right. Maxan, so I gonna try to make different voices.

Wow. Okay. That was quite a long conversation, but that's just the first part of three. TSN, what do you say we go through that conversation now together? It doesn't it? And then hopefully at the end we can put it all together once we've heard all three parts. とりあえず、こんにちは!マークさん、元気ですか?私は元気です。 マークさん、今日は4月20日ですね。 そうです。 And then I said, Hi, so this y yes it is. So today is indeed the 20th April. 今日はマークさんの誕生日ですね。誕生日おめでとう!

Uh happy birthday. Happy birthday. Yeah, that's a new phrase. We've not covered that before. So let's see that again. Yeah. Tanjo bi omedeto 誕生日おめでとう。おめでとう。おめでとう。 今日マークさんはどこに行きますか?そうですね。 マークさんは今日私は寿司屋に行きます。 So this is sushi, ya, ni. What's the ya part there? Sushi, ya. So if you add ya, it's like a shop. As an example, it's like ramen, ya. लामेंश おはパンやベーカリー。OK, so today I am going to a sushi shop.そうですね、おはすしレストラン。 マークさんは誕生日のファミリーランチです。

So today, um or it's it's a birthday lunch. It's a lunch of birthday. So this ni. And I said eat this neh, that's nice. Mm-hmm. ステファニーさんとハナさんも行きますか? マークさんははい、行きます。はい、行きます。 I said 寿司屋はどこですか? So you're asking where is the sushi place?

Okay. We got there. We got there. We ordered the sushi. Um and we ordered some drinks too. So let's go back through this part of the conversation now. So it's a set. マークさん also making an order for his wife. そう、my wife 私の妻は Uh Ranchi said she said that's tricky to say. Um is that like a a lunch so she said? Yeah that's right. ベジトリオン寿司セットも 一つください So and a vegetarian sushi set menu also the mo in there. He thought one of them please.

and the waitress said hi,ありがとうございます.Thank you very much.and she's repeating the order 注文はビールを2つとオレンジジュースを1つ サーモン寿司セット1つとランチ寿司セット1つとベジタリアン寿司セット1つですね。 So the the whole thing there two monois the the main the the order and then she goes through the the two beers, the one orange juice. the salmon sushi set, the lunch sushi menu and the vegetarian sushi menu. ビールとオレンジジュースです。どうぞ。 So uh beer and uh well basically here are the beers and the orange juice. Uh dozo, here you go. And Max answer said Arigato

The waitress just brought another lunch menu. 寿司セット3つです。どうぞ!

Wow, we got there. We got there in the end. Now, this has been a conversation that's picked up on a number of topics that we've covered over the past few lessons. We've looked at uh directions, we've looked at transport, we've looked at ordering food and drink and so on. And hopefully this has given us a sense of um achievement having reached this stage in the course. Um, I certainly feel as if I I understood lots of that and uh I think I'm almost ready to try it again.

Gee son, are you are you ready? From the very beginning. Okay. So we are uh together first of all With the Chi san um in her original role. Yes. And then you can take on the other roles as well. Okay. Let's try. Are you gonna start first?
