Don Horning was the first state wrestling champion at Walsh Jesuit high school in Akron, Ohio, a two time All-American at Kent State University and assistant coach at Walsh from 1992-1997. He comes on the podcast to discuss some of the athletes he coached at his time at Walsh, what made Coach Bill Barger so unique, the classic St. Ed’s/Walsh rivalry, how wrestling came into his life, being a 2x high school state champion, and a 2x NCAA All-American.
