Kevin Hermening was a 21 Year Old Marine Guard at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, Iran in 1979. When the embassy was stormed and overthrown on November 4th of that year, Kevin and 51 other Americans were captured and held hostage in Iran for 444 days in the ensuing Iran Hostage Crisis.
