Pre-Health students may experience imposter phenomenon when pursuing health careers. Students sometimes feel incompetent or self-critical or may develop chronic self-doubt. Dr. Christine Asidao, Associate Director of Community Engagement and Outreach at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) discusses what Imposter Phenomenon is, why it occurs, and where to find guidance and support resources. Dr. Asidao reminds all of us to be mindful and kinder to one’s self and also to remember you are not alone.
