Episode description

This episode is a special one as Colton is live with retired Concordia Chicago's Head Women's Basketball Coach, Rusty Rogers, who was the coach of one of our very own 2W team members.

Coach Rogers shares his story and how his mindset on coaching was changed after the birth of his daughter. He talked about the shift from thinking solely about winning and records to focusing on using basketball as a facilitator for his ministry of creating a sense of confidence and character in his athletes.

Coach shares his coaching philosophy and the idea that being a successful coach means lighting a fire within each player, not lighting a fire beneath them. He also gives practical ways how coaches can navigate a shifting mentality from focusing on records to focusing on lives.
