¶ Nancy Guthrie Search and Epstein Files
Good morning everyone, I'm Kate Baldwin. It's Tuesday, February 10th. Here are the five things you need to know to start your day. Number one, the new message. Still missing. There is also still no suspect, no one yet that has they have identified as being behind her abduction. And the search for Nancy Guthrie now stretches into a tenth day. I'm coming on just to ask you, not just for your prayers, but No matter where you are, even if you're far from Tucson.
if you see anything, you hear anything, if there's anything at all that seems strange to you That you report to law enforcement. We are at an hour of desperation. Overnight, a second purported ransom deadline has come and gone, and the FBI says it's now operating a 24-hour command post over this case, but continues to stress they need the public.
TMZ reports the Bitcoin account listed in an alleged ransom note currently shows a zero balance, but experts also point out that doesn't necessarily indicate whether a payment was or was not made. ransom note is worded, it is well structured, the grammar is almost perfect, and it is somebody who is smart. And so if there's somebody in the Tucson area who noticed that somebody over the last week has gone MIA, who is smart and articulate. Um, I don't know, that might be a lead.
Anyone with information, here are the tip lines once again, 520-351-4900. Also 1-800-call FBI. Number two, the redactions. Lawmakers will be back at the Justice Department today to continue going through the unredacted Epstein files. Consensus so far though is that DOJ needs to check its homework. Republican Congressman Tom Massey and Democrat Rokana have led, really led the push to get these files released.
In their first pass, they say they found at least six names, men who they believe are being inappropriately protect protected by redactions, going well beyond what the legislation passed by Congress called for. Some of them foreign born, uh a couple of them in the United States with their pictures.
And there's absolutely no explanation for why they were redacted. Now, we just discovered six men in a two-hour review. My guess is there are more of those people, and we are going to petition the Justice Department to release that. They say they want to give DOJ a chance to correct this, but Massey is also threatening to take this to the house floor and name names there if DOJ does not.
Some of the most questionable ra redactions involve the suspected co-conspirators who are described in internal Justice Department documents and others who ex exchanged eyebrow raising emails with Epstein. Like this email that read as if a redacted person was evaluating or even scouting women or girls for Epstein, writing in 2017, quote, She is like Lolita. And also, so now I should send you her type of candidates only?
Another has a chart with names and photos of four people investigators thought might be recruiting for Epstein. Again, all redacted. So far the DOJ has only said they are committed to transparency.
¶ Drug Raids and Lindsey Vonn's Resolve
Number three, the boat attacks. The US military says two people have been killed in another strike of an alleged drug trafficking boat, this time in the Pacific Ocean. The Coast Guard was activated to search. For a lone survivor from this attack. This latest release from the Pentagon means at least 121 people have now been killed since these strikes began. And the Trump administration has still not provided real evidence the votes were actually trafficking drugs.
US Southern Command was also on the also in action on the opposite side of the world yesterday, releasing a video of troops boarding a sanctioned oil tanker in the Indian Ocean. The president says The Pentagon rather says they tracked it from the Caribbean Sea, also putting out a statement saying this: quote, the Aquila II was Operating in defiance of President Trump's established
It ran and we followed. This is believed to be one of at least 16 tankers that left the coast of Venezuela last month after then President Maduro was captured. Number four, the long road ahead. American skiing star Lindsey Vaughn is now Speaking out for the first time since her terr terrible crash. She says that she will have to undergo multiple surgeries still.
to fix the complex fracture to her left tibia. It was Sunday that she had that devastating fall just thirteen seconds into her run in the Olympic downhill final. Still, she says she has no regrets. Vaughn posted to Instagram that the crash had nothing to do with her recently ruptured ACL, saying it really came down to just five inches. That she cut her line and route just five inches too tight when she began her run, which meant her right arm hooked around. Yeah.
And inside the gate. Also writing this quote, I tried, I dreamt, I jumped. I hope if you take away anything from my journey, it's that you all have the courage to dare greatly. Life is too short not to take chances on yourself because the only failure In life is not trying. Quite a message. More right after this.

in Fort Worth, Texas. They've crossed ten states on foot, hoping to spread what they say is a message of healing, unity, and compassion. And along the way, their mission picked up a lot of steam, a lot of fans, and crowds began to gather on the sidewalks, on the streets.
To watch and hand out food and water. The monks held to their strict code of one meal per day and often slept beneath trees at makeshift campsites. This afternoon they'll participate in an interfaith ceremony at the Washington National Cathedral, one of the breakout inspirations, if you will, of
