CNN teams in Beirut have heard several blasts in the city, hours after a deadly strike in the center of Lebanon's capital. Election officials in the Southeast are working to make sure those affected by Hurricane Helene can still cast early ballots. More than 30 million people are under heat alerts across the Southwest and parts of California. New CDC data shows a record share of American kindergartners had an exemption for required vaccinations last school year. And, a couple are blocked from suing Uber, because of an Uber Eats order.
