When she never showed up, her family grew concerned, and just days later, her car was discovered torched in a secluded cul-de-sac outside Auburn. Inside her home, investigators found disturbing signs of a struggle—yet Lori herself was nowhere to be found. Despite an exhaustive search, her body has never been recovered.

Years later, attention turned to a close friend, Rick Ennis, a man with a violent past. Advances in forensic testing linked him to Lori’s disappearance, and in 2022, Ennis was finally convicted of her murder—16 years after she went missing.
