He is a Nike Listen, I'm in my bag right now. I love it blue cups. I'll tell you like it's guys who got Nike deals and like sponsorships and peas and players and all that. PJ got one of them deals. Oh, he got one of them deals. And I stole his Kobe six, which one

them great with the pink. Yeah, they upstairs. My boy got a my boy, We ain't gotta worried about schedules. He niked for life, but life, he man. He breaded himself some will man with those shoes and things. That is amazing. We got so many things to talk about, but first and foremost, I already started off the episode

with a bullshit question. You know what I'm saying, being with you, being a guy, I ain't even gonna ask how, but how was that feeling when you got that car and was like, damn you get that Kobe pe What was that feeling? Like? Oh, you know what, that was one of the best because I wouldn't expecting it, because I was asked for for so long. I wasn't expected it it was like all right, you know what I'm I'm just I'm gonna go like I'm gonna go like

my deals up. Puma is coming with the bag. Yo talking about Puma bags because listen, I will sign with Puma. To them, they given like creative direction, like it's like, you know what I'm saying, that's like going from home, like you listen, it's different control, yeah for real, and that like to like they're like all right, you know, all right, he go, he go. You know what I'm saying. It was like I don't care how you throw that, Like, I don't care how you give me them. I'm taking them.

So that was that was That was special, bro. That was special. Man. Shout out to niggas who made nick IDs never bottled. It's me. I'm niggas me too. Nig class made all the shoes in the world. Ain't buy a single one of the motherfuckings. Ninety five. Oh my god. When I got a league, that's the first thing. What I five. I got some upstairs. That's how we got so many places that we can started. We gotta start at the beginning, you know what I'm saying, start off

the hoops. That's you know what I'm saying. Obviously, you know what I'm saying. You from the well considered North Carolina, the East coast, east coast, but it's South. Having to toss up the Virginia about that ship. But yeah, we South, not real. How was it, man, You know what I'm saying, growing up getting your ship off obviously used a prospect.

How was it playing high school basketball in the area you was at, because it was a lot of dogs where you was at, Man, you was playing against another d win like a like a high level D one, playing every single game, like every game, somebody's going to do one somewhere, and that was wild, Like you can shot the Randolph no more. Playing in the country, Eric Williams Top twenty. You get Randy Randy Pully like you can.

Literally every single game it was somebody so you literally it was like it was like events like Friday nights. It was like in the high school basketball games. It was like an event, like it's selling out. You got to get there early during the girls game because the miss game is going crazy playing the glasshow Smith climb back then which now is John wall John took it over. But our Christmas tournament is nuts playing at NC State. It was huge, man. All the best players in the

country came down for that. So it was every night he playing question about a player. I can't remember his name for sure. I think it's Ray John Terry. Is that his name? So listen, wait, So I went to school in North Carolina, sure did. So I knew about p J. I know about it. But they used to talk about this dude. Hey, listen, all right, So Ray John played with CP. Okay, listen, he might be like the one guy I think, like it's a couple of dudes I played against like my whole life. I feel like,

could have been a league. Should have been a league. It's like crazy to me that he didn't make it a league. But really, because I mean he was really like the game now it's like made for hight Like he's a real like three four, like could do it all. Like was a problem. Bro. Yeah, everybody always my whole time, man Carolina, when I was in my two years, they always talked about him like he was a dog. They will talk about you, they like PJ. He was a dog.

Obviously they talked about CP. But and he didn't make to the league. I don't think he did. He didn't. He never made to the league, but he was in that in our year three class, Caroline had one scholarship. Yeah, and he got it. Damn damn ye he got it. Carolina had one scholarship that year. He got it. Is that the reason why you went into a CC You know?

It is no, no bullshit, Like I only wanted to go to Carolina Like me and CP used to be like, Oh, we're gonna go to go to school together, like uh, but my grades were good enough to go to Wait like they want to be, Oh, no, Awake, It's fine, it's fried. Like if you want to hoop and go to Wake, you gotta be a good student. Was Pike for fixing it great that you gotta be You damn never got to be a great ass student to go

to Wake the right for real. So they're like, like it coach procedent at the time was my guy, Like I was. I was down, but it just wasn't. People shows love coach procedent, but it wasn't gonna work. It wasn't work. It wasn't going. They were like, oh, you gotta go to prop blah blah blah blah. I go to like I wasn't doing nothing of that, so I was like, yo, but it was perfect though. It actually worked out because at the time they had Matt Doherty.

Matt Dougherty was the coach, and I never forget broke to this day. Raymond Felton was my brother and Rashaw mccains used to look at me every time I would go up there and they'd be like, don't come here, tass me like a ray should be like, don't come here. I swear Ray Ray felt just be like, don't come here, bro, like I swear. Bro. He literally told me not to come.

You need people like like real like friends, like real friends, Like no, Bro, like this, ain't it like you've been doing a good job at Carolina right, You're gonna be real Like Matt Doherty was bad. He was only he got fired that year. The same year he got fired, he comes Roy Williams, bro, fine to listen. No in the ill story. That year we played Carolina in Denver Sweet sixteen. That was my team. I had a double double. I had fourteen to ten. We beat Carolina. Literally crying,

I'm beating Carolina. I'm going crazy, shaking hands. Roy Williams, shake my hand, I'm the last person grab. It was like if I was here, you'll be here right now. Damn that meant a lot, didn't Bro. I was like a little kid. I was like a little girl. Bro, Bro, that's big crazy. Look let me ask you this, though, I got your Let me ask you this. So once you beat them, like, how you how you feel? How you? How you feel? Like? Because I played here? Right? You know what I mean? I play I didn't play here.

I played I when I was a freshman, I mean sophomore. I played I you in a big teen ac challenge or whatever, and I was just hyped to play on you. Like man, it was trash, but we beat them by thirty, but I was so hype. How did I feel to play CAROLINEA though? Like I played Carolina going away? We put and I know how I feel? How that for me? Like always, like my dream was to play for Carolina. I wanted to make the NBA. The dream is to go to are you a little kid from North Carolina?

The dream is to play for Carolina. Just worry about the NBA. It's about playing there. So to not do it and then to beat him, it was like that's real. Like the tournament was over me. Like I was like I'm cool, Like I'm good on everything now, Like yo, what mama say what my mom? My mom was huge Carolina fan, Michael Jordan fan, Like that's my mom the reason I hoop, Like that's all for her. It was like crazy, you know what I'm saying. So that was that was special. That's a real ship. Damn Roy gave

you to not Bro. That's man to this day, still my dog. That was my squad. That's my had love. When he was like Marvel was fucking what he went to Atlanta. I said in my head, I'm just thinking, like what if p J. Tucker to North Carolina, you would have had the vault for real? Before the vault, you would have been the guy before like like you was already him. But that would have been even crazy. If you'd had them kids and what they was rocking back then, hoops you know something, Oh boy, your feet

would have been oh my god. Oh okay. I got a question about Texas, like what made you choose Texas though, like, okay, you didn't go to Carolina, it's still North Carolina state. He said, wake was too hard. He still got dupe Texas. Rick Barnes, coach of Texas at the time, was from North Carolina coach clems like he got super North Carolina time, so he can't ain'tn a lot. He came in and won my mom. He came in on the visit, Bro and wiped my mom. He walked out of the house.

My mom was like, you going to Texas and walked out the room and went to the bed like she was not she like he won my mom's We went on the visit. It was Bro. It wouldn't know like she made my sasion for me, Like I ain't even picked, like she picked for that's my mask because my mom made My mom had a dream, no cat, she had told me. She woke up and said, you're going away for us. I wanted to go to USC if you be honest right, because OJ was going it was turned lah,

I'm going to us. Yeah, the real ones there. I'm like Todd was there. I'm like, I want My mom was like had a dream, said you're going away for us, And once your mom's mama said it was over, it was over. I ended up that way. How was it when you got there though? For me? Or Bro? When you got the text? Man they put me on the plane. I had two bags a couple hundred dollars. I am like, I had nothing for my dorm room. Bro like dead ass.

I got there, I had a blanket and sheets. I have nothing, bro Like, I literally did baby like real like you are, like, I'm just real like. So it was like that first a few months was a struggle, dog like. I was like going through it like for real. And then once you started hooping and everybody like really get to know, it was like all right. It was like all right, like like once you become that guy's

like again, oh yeah, that's him. Like it was like everything saw falling the place first I would say first four or five months, and then when basketball season started, it was up and never looked back. From the beginning of that. The niggas gave you some bad in the least, I'm I said it without saying it. You got to talk about game. That guy was whatever you need. That's what I wanted to apartment. I got that experience. Like you went to Texas, it's fifty thousand students. Yeah, I

wouldn't screw it was five thousand students. What is that, shorty? Because you ain't never gonna ever again. Somebody, you better say something because you ain't never gonna seventy thousand people. Bro. Yeah, like it's so there you walk into class bro like that, like you like, like where am I going? Like that auditorium with six seven hundred people in it? So coming from like where you come from, Riley, you come from right at Lina? Was that like? Because I can't imagine

I'm from the west side of Indianapolis. If I would have went to seventy thousand people, I don't know what I would have. Did you know it was this other hospitality hit different? Huh yea. He loved Texas. Anybody on the team, like any like sophomore, junior, senior, Like you're gonna pull you to the side. How a game? All of them? Roy Roy Ivy the reason I'm even here?

Dog like he literally dog. We would go out and I'm green, like I'm super green, Like I ain't green, but I'm like green to the game like how things work. We would go out, we have fun. I'm like, oh, we want to go back. He's like, no, We're going to the gym. I practicingly just got built. So we had like the fingerprint joy you know, what I'm saying. It's like the first year, so Bro, we will lead

a spot, go to gym. I'm like, what like when you're tripping, Bro, literally least sixth Street, go to arena. We're going to work out three in the morning. Damn damn. We're playing full quote one on one. We getting shots up. Hold on Bro. Like Roy was like he was he's going into a senior year. So I ain't even I'm not even peeping and really realizing he he fighting to get to the league like he fighting, like like make it happen. I'm not even peeping my freshman year. I'm

coming from high school. I'm a little kid. He's trying to eat like, but I was a part of that process for him to you know what I'm saying. He used me like you know what I'm saying, He grew me and showing me at the same time, like how hard you gotta work and what it takes to get there, you know what I'm saying. So it was like we have fun, but we're gonna get on working too. Yeah, that's all that's real because he did the same thing for me, Like when I came into the NBA, he

was I don't know if he was. He played for the Hawks already, but he was coming back my rookie year to be like trying for attend that. But he was giving me that same treatment. He be like, hey, y'all, you gotta be in the gym. You gotta be doing this. And it's like to see him as a coach now, it's no other way I can see him, like, hey, yeah he playing, he was a coach. Yeah he I mean, he deserved all the credit in the world because hardest work I ever know. Guy crazy, Yeah, crazy, and that's hard.

Somebody like that, you know what I'm saying, set the tone for you in college. You know what I'm saying that people obviously you know who Ivy is real, who know who he was. But that's crazy that somebody set that tone for you, initiate and you with that process you are under classman. He had senior like, nah, this is a grind, Like and I'm showing you how you were. Now how did that? And patch you like that to

another level? Man? What once he was going it was like, I'm the hardest worker and I'm the best player, damn. So it's like, now, ain't nobody It's like my whole like emotion towards all that shit. It's all like different now because I'm looking at dudes like I'm better than you and so I'm it's both effects. Like if we got mind you got LaMarcus as number player country coming in, fact, we give in whose top guard? Like we got we

got some guys coming in. But I'm like, nah, this is mine, Like I got this like you like come on, like you know what I'm saying. And that's what kind of like built that culture, like work like because train worked LaMarcus, That's that was all built. Bro. Like all his jumpers and all the turnarounds I've seen him do. Bro. Listen here, Bro, LaMarcus hurt his hip. He hurt his hip. He was out for the season. Bro Coase Barnes got like this tall like high chair and LaMarcus I swept everything.

I love. Bro. He would go on his crutches. He would sit there in the chair with a with a with an assistant. He would just shoot that hog release joint he got. Yeah, Bro, I swept one hand, two hand, Bro, I set. I've seen the Marcus for hours. Bro, I've never in my life. Bro, he was sitting that chair he was out for like eight nine months. Bro, he was out for like a year for a while. Brou he came back like it was over number one pick. It should have been number one pick, giving him blues.

Marcus like about you, nigga, you didn't play with some of them won, But what's crazy like people don't give you your credit when you was at Texas bro Ye, it was nast. I stay years b C I'd be having to tell people like Bro, the NBA would dumb you down a little bit. Bro, you nasty. I used to play with you on Marsh Madness. Bro, you was crazy matters. I haven't talking about it. No, you was your Marsh Madness, but your handles was weakly. I used to go black dog, but you not on my not

on my Marsh Madness. You was as black God. Damn, we gotta make this nigga sinner. He gonna give me a double double. Used can't bring this bitch average a double double. That's a given. I'm saying that was the only thing that yeah five on God. Now for real, Bro, I got a home boy named Lewis Bro named Louke Bro. He used to be like PJ. Tucker. Oh used to be like I used to like I was a fan of like ho keen Wards and like random mass nig like Jerry mcnamary mellow I was a Syracuse man. Texas

got them dogs. And then as I'm like, damn, PJ. Tucker really be killing. But to see how you play in college and then people who don't know ball like that to watch you in the NBA, they won't realize, like you was a train killer, why we play him? Like what like what do we we're giving the money for? You're the train killer? Bro? It's what they say really as Jeff bro, I ain't know not here like I keep it a thousand, Bro, I really like that, Like if people don't know like you, like it's a job,

dog like this, this is a job. This ain't you catch me and pick up? It's a whole nother different energy like dudes on Instagram like then I'll bust like yo, relax my guy. By sometimes you gotta go back and like they gotta go back and look bro Texas, bro,

you you was like three. I actually only played half because I got played on the team for we're gonna talk about that little thing, yeah, and then we got it right back the Texas I love, but even shit, I'm a YouTube fanatics, so I know how to recall Hans what niggas know. It's different when you and there. This ain't this ain't I ma ain't feel you. Bro, I get this bitch and carry your ass up. Don't don't sleep. I'm a professor. Please please don't get it like we can really get it. We can get it

the fact, give me the ball. I can't get the ball. We go get to that. But I got a question for you as in Texas. You know what I'm saying, Texas basketball is cracker. Obviously y'all had a fucking whip. But at the same time, you know, the Texas books just care about that Texas football. How was that in comparison going between that, Like y'all was them niggas, but y'all still had to deal with Texas football. Man, they just won that championship to sir Twisted, Oh you had

a vision, bro, That's that's what made that. That's what made that dynamic cool. Like that was one time well hoops and football like was like this because me and Vince like this, this my dog. That's my brother. To this day, that's my brother. Yea. It was like we all rocking together, like we had like everybody like it was like we all rocked together. So it was like one mob bro. So we used to like go out to hang together. It was like it was like movies.

Every time you catch us, like it was wild, like Austin during that time. I don't know if we're the first school, but we're one of the first schools to ever be preseason number one and basketball, baseball and football. That's tough. Six. How was the vibes on canvas with that, because I'm thinking about together, yo yo yo vibes. Austin was insane, brost already a great city, but for y'all have one one one and the major sports. The street was that his baseball there, he was the picture. He

was about to go number one, like it was. I was cracking it was. It was crazy. And watching them win the rose Bolt like that was wild. Watching them winnow that's enough. That's a moment to find it for a lot of people in our airs grip. Like I remember watching that USC Texas National championship and I still don't know why Reggie Busher that, Reggie, I'm so happy, thank you. Reggie was supposed to win. Everybody was rooting

against I was. I wasn't respect official he was a guy, But Reggie Bush was that nig He was the first. I was just dancing, bro, like I this this bro, this high should I want to do this? I should have won with you. I know that that's your man. I ain't shut up like the highlights like he's the greatest total fucking college football player ever, PJ. He's the greatest. Reggie Bush is the greatest college football player ever. He went for five. I want to talk about it. Game ever,

elite mix tapes Both Jackson. I don't even know. You don't know? Are you disrespect We wasn't watching bout Jackson is the best score ever in the NBOD. I wasn't. I'm not as old as you like. How old are you? Like you said, we're not watching both Jackson? We went? We didn't, nigga, you didn't grow up watching fucking bout Jackson runabout like you did Reggie Bush. You saw more Reggie Bush than you did about you ain't you ain't nigga? You ain't Dominique wickas age. Nigga? We did you? PJ. Tucker,

No watching Barry sad Brown. Yeah you you ain't PJ Brown? What respect? Respect nigga? Thirty eight? Listen, you are watching about Jacks Wake was watching very sad, watching like Reggie Bush. I thought Reggie Bush was nice the god, but this your nigga. But I didn't have five that was I wish you would have won Heisman. He did. Allegations, allegation they took it away. Alright, cool, it's a great transition. Absolutely, let's see your motherfucker for that. Yeah, hiding away. I'm

still hot. I'm still hot, all right. So look, you go from Texas doing killing. Let's not get fucked up. You was killing when the draft come. Do you like you expected to be a first round My draft was trash too. I ain't gonna hold you. Our draft is one of the worse, like it is, it's raided one

of the worst, damn. So I literally was sitting there like I could tem I know, I'm going, yeah, all right, next one, you know, like yeah, I know the draft is different, Like the draft is like that real, like yeah, like that's just different. It really is. And you can it's funny like even now, like I still went to this day like you couldn't tell me like right now back then the shooting in like this and like it's just be like two people from my class to the

league and I'll be one of them. Yeah, Like I've been like y'all get the Like, sup, that's hard. That's hard. You know how crazy? Wow it is? It's wild, it really is. And the way it happened, like you know, being out come back like like all coming on the back end of it, like yeah, not giving up because it was like I tried to give up a couple of times, Like I really was like yeah, I'm done, Like I'm done. Yeah, I tell you your rookie year you with Toronto. Yes, sir, I'd never forget were on

a bus. You got one of the most fire stories. I feel like, the most inspirational stories ever. Like he told me a story that made me feel like, damn, I wish I would have heard that story when I was in my first second year. You know what I'm saying, Would you be able to tell us a story about I would really tell it? Because all right, So he tells me a story about Toronto. We own a bus, him in the back of the bus and he's like, Yo, you know what's crazy, bro? When I was in Toronto,

I thought I was a ship. He's like, yo, I had this house, I had a penhouse, I was living. I was doing this and I wasn't playing like that. But I wasn't working that hard. And they had a camp. They had a basically a cam corder, recorded me in my workouts and doing shit that I was doing, and they basically pulled me in the office and showed me what I was doing, how I wasn't working, how I wasn't doing this, and he got cut. And to know that.

If I would have knew that when I was in my first second year, I would have liked, if people do that, I would have carried myself totally different, even though I wasn't fucked up. But I would have been like, damn because I respected him, Like I see him at Texas. He did more ship at Texas? How did that way

for us? Yeah? You know what I mean. So I'm like, if I would have heard that for a young guy now, I would love for him to tell it because different I like you, because it's like you can like I tell this story so many times, even the young guys now, and you can respect it and understand it because you can look at it in hindsight. But guy's in a position now with all the podcasting each talking about it a little bit like they get it, so they try

to listen to a little bit more. But it's like until it happened to you, that shit don't hit it, don't hit like really high, like that stomach. You know what I'm saying, When that stomach drop, when you ain't got no job and at least something on that penthouse and you ain't got no check and you you ain't you get your mom, your mom mortgages, you bought that new h that crib like it's like that shit hit different,

like it really do. And then from a basketball standpoint, you like so high on being that guy right like you like like I'm all American, Like I'm him, Like, yo, what are we talking? Hold up? Like, Oh, i ain't gonna something in the night, all right, I've been ready tomorrow. Oh oh, I'm not stubbing it. So now I'm not working because I'm like, yo, I'm him, y'all not playing me.

It's it's the trickle down the ball that like. And then on the end and slept that like and that's how you've been working Yeah, it's like at some moments, it's like it's either you're gonna be like not the same for me, it's they fault, or you're gonna be like, Yo, I ain't shit bro, like I'm really on some bullshit.

And that's like the changes like that that intersection where it's like you're gonna go that way and blame them and not stand up and be a man and you know what I'm saying, or you're gonna be like, Yo, I'm on bullshit. I gotta get my shit together. What you do? What? Like? What was you What was your reaction when you saw that ship though? Like, bro, I feel like shit, Bro, that's the worst moment of my life to this day. Yeah, I've never there's anohing that

can talk there because you talk all this shit. Yeah, you with your boys, you're like you know what it is like you like, yeah, give me the ball, like I'm here like only shit and then to watch yourself, you're like, yo, I ain't ship, bro, Like I'm really a bad person, Like I'm really like I'm faking shit, Like I'm really fake. That changed your whole everything. It changed my life. That should changed my life. Yeah, that was some ship. Though, and you gotta look back to

Roya was trying to show you. He showed me that's what makes it real because he like, yo, look we in here, like we're in here, we here on the number one, number one team in the count. You starting guard like he he in there. I've seen him do it. That's crazy. Yeah, but that's what the league due though, that's the league. Now I'm getting checked. Now you think you made it right? Now you now you made it right? All right? First deal? You feel like I got that

new escalator. Listen, man, my mom, crib no man, ain't nothing nobody can tell me. Relaxed, no start, that's shit going. I was like, yo, know all that little check you're just that's going already. Yeah, So what happened after you did that? After that happened? What was the next step for you? I was out. I was gonna say the Europe. I was out. I didn't even waits Cleveland, bunch of calls. I was going on. I already signed a deal. I was like, yeah, I'm going over. Sam Mitchell was like yo.

And sam Mitchell was a blessing too because he had already played, you know, he played in Europe. Boo came back. He was like, yo, you go to Europe. He's like, I'm telling he's gonna be the best thing that ever ever. Damn mind you, he's my NBA coach. I'm looking at him like, man, what man can be all the way looking at him like, yo, ain't no way. He told me that should like it was like February that year.

It was super like early in the year, and I'm looking like, man, we're in the NBA, bro, like, what are you talking about? Dead ass? That's as soon as that should happened in our head. Boom we out signed to Israel. Damn the best thing I ever did. How was that amazing? They say Israel like israels like Miami, New York in Europe like that. It's like that my little brother with the Israel. He told me what stuff you see on TV on CNN, it ain't nothing like that,

I'm telling you right now. So as you lands like New York City on the oh, this nigga he always he always out of pocket. All right, the warfare too, that's cracking over there. Then be the same ones be like get over there, be like hey boy, coming back and mom on the phone. So you go, you go to Israel. How long do you stay overseas? And like because you was overseas, you was you was killing I was killing Brow. You was him overseas. Like bro, that's and this is why I'm talking about, Like that ship

made me who I am now? Okay, because being the man and like winning chips and winning vps and like really going at it like I want that year, I want both? Uh you after that winning VP by winn the chip? We lost some chip? Like it like being the guy makes you understand what it takes to be the guy the guy needs. Damn that's a bar know

what I'm saying. I might say that again, b yeah, like really it really is like and that being the guy over there made me like mold, like who I who I am now and who I've been over the last six seven years. It's like really understanding that right, Like I had some of the most amazing ROW guys on my team over the years. And get back in the league and building myself again, it was like, oh, I know how, I know exactly how to do that, Like that's easy. Yeah, but what was the process getting

back to the league. I mean, going overseas and then being a star like a lot of people like I see Shane Larkin, Yeah, but he don't want to come back to the league. And I didn't either. I just signed a huge deal, like I didn't. I wasn't trying to come back. I did ask. I was done. Bro, I'm seeing you know, I'm seeing all these do sign these deals. I'm like, I'm like, man, I'm cool on that ship, like for real, Like I'm good, Like I'm over here, built myself up. I signed this huge deal.

I'm like, I'm good. I had an NBA out to August fifteen, Summarly Phoenix offered me to do and I was like, no, I'm good. Damn. I was like I'm good. I'm like I'm good. He's like, nah, yo, you like you're tripping, Like no, this is it. I'm like, no, I'm good, Like I don't want to do it. They literally had to talk me into it, bro, Damn, Like how you like that sounds crazy? Right? You're like, yo, you're lying, like talked me into like sign it back

with the NBA. Nah. I understand the ground of the NBA and how you can go from being so high oversea star being that guy you back in the ground of being nobody. It's like I'm everything over there. Yea, that's over there going crazy. Let's see if statues, you know, I mean like it's it's crazy. Yeah, no statues for real. Real. It's different. It's different besides your Asian forcing it. I'm the NBA is always a dream. So DIDAD come back into your head? Like, yo, I still don't think I

was gonna what happened and it happening. I still don't think I was going like the money I did and do all that, Like I still don't see all that. I ain't see it yet. So when you're signed back with the Phoenix, what was your vibe like just being able to get on the court. I was like, yuays, you want to play? Mind you? Mike Beasley just signed like it's a bunch of wings. They just signed West like it was a bunch of guys. It's a good team, like solid team. So it's like, yo, here we go.

But I'd already like implemented like the grind, like I had already like been all that stuff from from like I was already So when I got there, it was like I was on. So it was like, yeah, I know you. It was different because we're competing against you, right, So when you came in, Mike Beasley number two picks posted,

you know, supposed to be that guy. When we competed against you, it was like, Yo, don't bring PJ up in the picking row, Like, don't bring him up like he about to play hardest, Like get the other nigga up here, Like, don't bring him up in pick he about the guard the ship out. You and I could tell the energy and the effort you was playing with, but you could tell like, yo, I'm playing for something, right,

Like I'm playing for my life. Like it's different. You know, it's different when you get them kind of guys, it's like really fighting for their life, like I don't know if I'm gonna be here, and and I'll respect the Bees like Bees is one of the best players I've ever had in my life. Cold literally would destroy me in practice daily. Cold Oh god, my high school. At college, he was getting forty and you know James, we went to his college game. They played with same state. Yeah,

forty and twenty different. You know, it's crazy. Back in that time period, it wasn't too crazy. Who was going over one between Bees and d rows niggas forgetting real. It was real close, it was, and I was picking big, he was getting forty. You know, I was still Rose still. He was rob Bill Walker fan though, yeah, fu with but I knew. I knew all about huh huh, No you said you was more. I don't know, he's doing

too much. What I'm saying Bill, Bill Walker played, I'm going like fires, he's trying to be but directed just trying to I'm little with the lighter fla, just saying I know what to know. Shout out to my nigga, Bill, don't do that. But Mike Beasley first Rose, I'm just saying, give me Derek Rose. I'm not wrong. Listen, it was my favorite top five. Oh my god, listens, let's get back. How was your st in Phoenix though? How was that

like for you? Everything? It's really because it was the opportunity meets timing, Like it was like the priv time in my career and I was ready for it, and it was like it was really like my rookie year, like it's how it should have been, what I'm saying, and that's how I took it. It was like I don't even counting that, Like that was still like whatever like, this is it right here? And that's how I carried it every game, bro, Like I really like like took

control of it, you know what I'm saying. And I had the right coach of staff, like it was perfect, bro. And then like real talk from being fifteen man in August when I signed, I was starting on thirty first damn. And I ain't. Look I've been starting ever since. How you earned that ship? You know what's crazy? I don't know what year this was for my Phoenix, but the W Hotel was popping, fucking this is my Nigga. We gonna talk W Hotel popping me. A couple of the

guys pull up. They're like, yo, you've seen PJ Tucker whip. I'm like, who, sir? I'm like, who who got the They like PJ Tucker. I'm like, I ain't see it. They like, go out. Nigga had a Mercedes. But what's the ship? You know what I'm talking about? What's the one? The bro? He had a Mercedes. Nigga's like, go outside. The wings is up? I go outside. It's him the wings. I'm like, who is he? They like, oh, he went

overseas and guys, millions. He came back this light paper where he how much getting they got me thinking about going over Sam like they get how much over seas? He's like yeah he got damn Like damn you that going over? Yeah, I'm the guy. Bro. That was my first time ever seen and I'm like, Yo, that car crazy. I never seen that ship. That was different too because I came back. I know I had anything, you know what I'm saying. So it was like it's different. Everybody's

looking at me like like where you come from? Yeah, that shit was was crazy. I'm outside like nigga, it's niggas that's been in the league with hundreds of millions talking about this nigga car and I'm like, shut the tone. Yeah. And to know him now, it's like I get it. I get it now, I know him as I get it.

But to go for Phoenix, you know, had a success that you had playing, but to start seeing young dudes like TJ, Devin Booker and them to call you the og, Like how that feels that shit was different because you instantly, like I instantly become og like without a lot of like NBA years. Yeah, right, Like it's like because they respect like they with me every day, so they see how hard I work and all that stuff and how

I've been around. But it's like I'm around and you know I'm around, So I like directly relate to them and they're like yo, like you know what I'm saying. I'm taking them to dinner. I'm like I'm doing I'm doing everything, and they around me and to be og, It's like I wasn't even looking at it like that for real, like especially in the beginning, like like especially like the book years, I didn't look at it like that,

you know what I'm saying. Like, so now even to like he's still with every time, like we talked, like I'll be like, bro, like that's hard know you and play on the team with you, like you got the type of energy that make you like fun with you. Like like even just being on the podcast now, we all been joking for hours before, so you feel his energy. But like to be with that around that every day, I can see how young guy be like yeah, yeah, I want to learn from him because I see how

hard you work, like me and him shooting shots. I've been walking on my last leg. I really don't give a fuck. If we'd being honest, I didn't give a fuck, but I'm shooting against him because I know he give a fuck, like he cared like he and we're shooting. We haven't shootouts. This nigga shoot for hours. I'm like, I'm like, yo, I'm about to go to my half of a bedroom apartment. It's not a full bedroom's a half a bedroom. It's how much I didn't give a I had a half a bedroom apartment. No, no, it

will cost it half bedroom apartment. So this nigga one day gonna say fuck you, No you never went to this groom. Not put him outside? He came outside. I said, bro, really living in the trap the trap room? No, the fuck you? Not pulling up? But not see how hard where I see how young guy you didn't want to

be around. And that's how I like, like really like books the one because book was like one that I like really like from day one, him getting drafted to like pushing him and like really like putting it like like being like yo, you him bro, like before he even like and he knew he was him. But it's

like I hadn't guarded. I hadn't guarded these guys. I guard these guys every night, like you got that bro, like like you you're not just good, like you're about to be legendary, like you one of them, like and he really like, bro listen to see his progression like so fast. It was like from being like Brooked to like Rook the best player on our team, like like now like starting college. Bro listen, Bro, it was like like it shout out, like like a blow out of

gun Bort. Every day it was like he would do something. Everybody be like yo, like oh my god, Like Nigga, I started. I guarded him the first game he started in Atlanta. He started Earl Watson started the Nigga. I guarded him, and I'm like, you know, I'm like, what the he shotts. I'm not lying. I don't know what he had. We beat We beat the best when he was rolling best. I'm sucking what you don't say that on this podcast. It was he disrespects what you ever

seen see you ever seen the little giants. He was the fucking quarterback that weekend. See, don't be up here. Are you laughing this shit? I'm serious, nigga. I'm talking about that weekend about your Rook story. Nigga, No, I'm talking about your rook story. Don't ever say that this was best freaking he always do that. I told you, we hate I try to get out our team. That was tough, but Themorrow just left. Yeah. I tried. Oh yeah, listen, No he was he was in Toronto. What year was

that was seven, sixteen seventeen. Yeah, you was in Toronto and we was talking about him. See, I would you because if you would have replaced the more, yeah, P would have got the Austro not out of the Toronto. So I'm like, damn, we should get him. Nigga guard Bron. We couldn't fuck with b We couldn't with Bron. Nobody could. I respected. I was like during that time, nobody, listen, no wife, nobody, I can fight him. I can fight

he ain't give a fuck about going Bron. Right at this time, I feel like I'm like, yeah, we got fun niggas. Bron get brobed everybody. I don't believe you just said that. I only fuked him because my niggas, my nigga get thirty or any night. But they every time I used to see them come across the little ESPN, these whole ass niggas to one again, they went on the stupid streak too. They were winners. I'm like that, nigga.

But they used to like it would be a different leading score to really really move the bulls, to really run. I used to I used to hate playing him, so his all start of that ship was definitely desired to give him all of them, and people hate it on it, hold on, hold one, probably go ahead. They only he's supposed to have two or three. They almost put the whole team on. I'm gonna tall right now, ch cargo round or not. He was nothing. He was disrespectful. I

loved it. Were you gonna disrespect we got? That's what's not gonna talking about. We're not gonna's not happening. That's that's my listening, all right. So after after Phoenix words, you go to Toronto. Right before we get to Toronto, I want to talk about when when niggas really started to notice that you was the guy. Because I remember, obviously I pay attention to Jeff No, I pay attention to Heat, but I'll never forget dog. When you pulled out the fucking red Octobers and Phoenix, I said, oh

this is differ. He had the Sean Mary and Jordan's and Phoenix. This is why I came across this grind because I thought I was like him. This nigga got he pease that wasn't outside for peas. Yeah, you can look at this camera defeats. We know I wasn't gonna go to the shoot part. No, No, I just had it. I was hoop story up. We could go there. No, we could get to the hoop. But I couldn't pass Phoenix for not that I question when I played for

the Pacers. Okay, let's let's talk about it. Okay, remember we had we had so I met me and p got cooled from some rock and NBA All Star. I'm just gonna leave it there. But so I not this nigga. But I'm on the Pacers now with l and Lands shoots the last second shot. The time is running out. Only Jeff it's five seconds left, lags in. We up like ten only Jeff. He hits the lay up. I'm like, damn, I know what this is about to come with your Mari pj A B line to let Oh yeah, ain't

like you bitch ass nigga. I'm like, whoa lessons on my tea. So I'm like y'all gotta chill. Lass is walking straight to the tunnel. They like we gonna suck them up. So I like, I ain't about to do shit. I'm not taking no texts, no fires, nothing. It ain't my it ain't my battle. So I'm like, yo, y'all, chill, y'all, chill to morrow. Like no, you got me fucked up. Teath PJ said little Nigga. I said, we just had some rock together, y'all, little day weekends together. Game next, bro,

but lifted bro to this bro. You know, let me say this first. It was part about the story. You know, YouTube is with the kids and shit like eleven like he who bro myself was like yo, that why you was so mad at like like you was wilding like nah, I'm like nah, it's a respect thing. So like NBA like Games over, like you you're still trying to score, like game over, Like, ain't nobody trying to dribble it out. You dribble it out, you hold the ball. It's respects, integrity,

like it's what you do. Like yeah, you know what I'm saying. Games over and he faked like he was gonna dribble it out. He went to score, you know, and I ain't like that. He's like okay, but he still was looking like you wild. But I'm like na like to this day, like yeah, that was his first game back. Yes, bro, And that's what like, I don't know, like for me, that's what like triggered me even more. It was like he's trying to like boost he talked about this. I was like, I know in the locker room,

I do sit on the court the niggas. Mind you. We're thinking we're gonna play them in the playoffs, right, so it's like we're about to like so that's how I just got there. But they're like, yo, they've been bad on in the end all year, like like are giving me the backstory? Somebody? Alright cool? So when they beat us, it was like a thing like we're about to play him in the playoffs, like all right, So it was like Susie did that. It was like all right, yeah,

I think y'all was a two seed. We around lost another game. We had lost they and and it didn't matter all that bullshit that went on because Cleveland before I said that was we gonna play. That was the most unstoppable Lebron James that year. That was first year back in Cleveland, right, that was first year back unstoppable. Listen, listen, listen, I'm there's I'm not even the big it that that Lebron was unstoppable when he went against Paul Person and

when he was in a Miami Jersey. What year was that twelve when he was that nigga was fresh year back in Cleveland, had the weekends mustache, the k he

was eating, he was killing. Listen that he was. He was showing like how like like he showed the physicality that year of like niggas can't really like physically different guard me, Like that was the first time I was because I thought I thought I could guard, like really really guard Brian until that point and I was like, I can't you ever thought you thought you could ever regarding Will, But that was like he just like he showed that year after the All Star because that's when

he had a three too, because that's when the three point ball came. He was doing the right step. That we had a game, we had we had Tourious ship. I think it was that you he had tourious shit and we had a game and I think I had gave Delladova like something crazy and I talked about it's gonna be a long like, it's gonna be a long fucking night. He was like, can you score more than me? Niggas? And I was like, yeah, told you that, No, bro,

I say that. Yeah. Look the crowd feeling about yeah, bro, Like, what are you going to show me? I had eighteen eighteen that series? Oh my god, I had. So when when did the league start noticing you for your fashion ship? When did that become a thing? Like what you think that? All that shit came from me and James from Houston. The whole tone of thing was like that, the evolution

of that, the way Houston built too. It was perfect too, because the way you know how it is like that that walk away right there, It's a long ass like walk away and it's like really like a walk away. And it was just built off that. So y'all started the tunnel flicks. We definitely talk about it. I'm just saying now, these niggas was real life like flies. No, they was like real life setting up shot every one time we played them. Yeah, and I'm like, you know,

I don't wear ship. Yeah, me and y'all is the same person. I can't get my checking, come live in the right right, try to presship. So we about play them and they stopping. Damn they whips. It's crazy. So I'm I'm like these niggas car is crazy. I like cars. I'm like that cars are nice, but they're not coming in. Damn these niggas white. No, like kill these niggas. We like they gonna wait, like but no, they come in with shit. I'm like, this production, it's dressed. PJ had

came more. Can we played them in the playoffs? Think it had like a suit on. I'm like, what the fuck? And James had some ship and I'm like, ah, these niggas are serious. I had an I'm like advantage of that. Yeah, they made it. It was like turning that into like fashion week and like knowing brands and getting stuff and like yeah, and like took it to a whole nother level and like now I love it because you see so many young guys now like but it's like we like really we didn't try to do it, but it

was just kind of our styles. Like I was already I've been getting dressed every game, but Houston, like social media, they took it to another level. Yeah, for sure. Since we transitioned off basketball like you had very We're gonna nigga, you you know you an NBA champion. We're gonna get to our Milwaukee shit. But fact that how you got fashion going and how people are responding to it and

the NBA is amazing, like playing with you. Used to come in the locker rind like Yo, this nigga really just put shit on and I ain't no grouping nigga really fresh, like I used to be shitty because I would be like, fuck, like look at my sentiality again, I be like and then I was shooes and then he had come with some shit like you see these the fuck I ain't got this nig different and he made me quit. I retired from sneakers and I'm show love because my nigga. He humbled, But Jeff been about that.

Jeff been had that shit. Really do he really got it him with that young two niggas I know who was about this word. But when he told me how you was operating, I said, ye, it's different. I told you. I humble out. He came in talking. Though he first came he was like got those like man, what I got this? I'm like, oh, I'm like, where you got that? Like, okay, okay, Jeff got some he started bringing shit. I'm like, okay, got some work. Then they got spoken gott while you

had two closes and locker room. He got ugly fast. That nigga had he had Kobe Peace. I was like, damn and no, that's and that was like that'st like minimum. That ain't even like every day. Yeah, that's not not even fire. When that nigga came with Lebrons that Lebron didn't have, the Bron stuff is where you go like next level. He had test shoes that Bron didn't have. He worked up before a game. I swear, I never forget he put them aster. What the fucking up? He's like, oh,

these Lebron. It was weird test sambols between two different Lebrons before decided which Lebron they was dropping, right, so it was like which actual model. It was like a mix between the two models. It was the fifteen and sixteen. I think it was crazy, and he got him more. I don't know what the fuck is like he's test samples. So then Broun like you get the frou that's crazy. And then there's another episode bet he got the his team, his team Joyce coming out, he come in with him

before him. I told him his team joy is better than his regular shows. He's like, how you seen my team Joys. I was like, I'm wearing in the game. He's like, Niggy come in the locker room like, Yo, that's crazy. Ye never seen him before. I'm on the side like how they work. He's seen him. He just hadn't warm yet. He's seen him. Oh no, but that's what he said. I know, I know he said that, but he's seen him. He just had warm yet. Yeah.

I was like, what you ain't got the still another and then you know it's brother, No, we don't have. We don't have Like I'm like tt nah, And what's crazy is I know a little bit about shoes. You know what I'm saying when I say only you and Lawyer market, it has certain Lebron's. I'm like, that sounds running a little bit different, huh, littleimes A little bit different from this shoes. Shit, bro, he's different a kind of fashion. He's different coming when you had to do Chabana.

I don't even say this ship that you don't wear shit. Look, but that's all built off of like all that stuff he was talking about. Bro, it really just came from that. That's hard, like and that's the shit about it, Like it didn't take a whole lot of nothing else, just showing interest in doing it every night, and this the dedication to It's like yoh, okay, you got style. I like it. Boom, now we meet boom, how would you

like this? Boom? We gotta collab boom. It's fast, it's fashion like a passion or it's just like that's my like for sure, for sure I hoop because I hope like yeah hooping. It's like you are nooping like job blood. That's how we grow up. It's like everything we do. But then like you started learning yourself and stuff you like and like what you're really into. And I was just naturally into the fashion and really were in fashion.

It was like not even just me, it was like yost some women and like it got it got so much bigger, and I started to realize how much more I like, so much more of it. It was like yo, like this is what I'm really had to it so safe to say, after you're done, you're gonna have I got a question on that obviously you got your own shop. That's going crazy. You know what I'm saying. You see hip hop artists like for real, you know what I'm saying,

getting that creative? What Brandon House? Would you like to have PJ get his collection? Have y'all touch on bro? I swears the number one question. I have no idea, no idea right now because I really don't know the direction. I wasn't going next, Like I didn't this A few collapse at this point and it's like all right, like

I didn't dial with a double here and there. And it's tough because you always like like I could just throw some stuff out there, but it's like, oh, would I really do that right now or like whatever, like especially while you're hooping, it's always tough. It's like the time. But now I'm for really Louis Bro like, there's no way I would never want to do that like that. Yeah, that's like elite I'm not like ELITEE. We had a podcast before that. I'm not a real dressing fan. He's not.

So I'm glad that you he's not. I'm glad that you're here because you help skateboard pet. I don't okay, listen, we had a debate. I'm glad damn alright, the basketball an NBA champion. We're gonna get We're gonna tell some of our funny stories about Milwaukee. Katie was cooking us and ship it to the tool. I even though my Ford truck that's still running because I was ready to put my sh up. And what game was that? Game four? We lost? This game two? Was it too? Yeah? We

gotta be about fifty. Yeah, Jeff's like that's crazy. I'm going home. It's over. But shout Davis. I was. I was. I was retired that he was done. I was done. But we talk about fashion, So we get back on that. You've been you've been putting that shit on. You've been that guy, you've been doing all that shit. But how did you get started with the sneaker? So like what was your first sneaker? How did that ship even that?

That's like Carolina Shough Like that's like like Michael Jordan being from Carolina, Like yeah, loving Carolina, like they came from that. So like when like back then you get jays to wear them like we literally used to cop our jays, put them on go to school, like school first person with him like it was the Jays, and then from that it just evolved like into the whole thing. Like you can collected shoes because like actually collecting since

two thousand, like nine two thousand. Yeah, And what I respect about you so much is like you can tell it's not for us, like you could tell it's just like I get this shit. I'm gonna put that shit on. Like it made so many people like, oh, I can actually wear my shoes here. What the fuck did you get them for? Who's waiting for? Like you're sitting with him, like, yeah, they're gonna suck up. I have shoes from a long

time ago. They're gonna crumble eventually. That's why when I seen you with Phoenix, I'm like, oh, he's really hooping in that ship. Like that shit changed that everybody. You can see the people who bid off of you, and you can tell people who are genuine about it. And I appreciate you bring it back to genuine. Shit didn't because like like really like I'm que rich. Oh my god, I said, you know this niggas cracty I said, he literally did me was like, yo, Broye, that's my dog. Crazy.

I was like crazy, he opened anything. I was like, Yo, Tildy Miles, I got his white and orange nins bro. I got some boys. First of all, First that's my dog to First of all. First of all, people don't know I've been where you haven't been like that forbidden I've been. I've been. Don't put emphasis on it. Yeah, you're trying to glorify where you've never been. Say he's gonna do that. He's gonna do that. That energy that is right here energy. Okay, he gonna pick out Henna

sing up right now out of here. I wanted the story ast fiss me yaft Thisten got being on his team teammates and seeing like how he operates with the shoe shit is fucking ridiculous from a shoe nigga, from a shoot this nigga guy. Yeah, he gonna have five hundred prayer of shoes at the facility. That's a given. Sure we're the good shit at the nigga. They got the ship. He got a place at an undisclosed location, and that motherfucker is far like all you shoot addicts,

So collect all that, let it go. I'm telling y'all, never tap in. I got a good story for y'all. He got everything you can think of. You talk about Lebron Force, Kobe fives, Kobe four threes, twos, Kanye West. What's the brandy amples Yeah, that's a million dollars. That was like they never never will Like he got so much sh Bro, he made me put on my shoes.

I stopped buying shoes. I buy general releases. Now I would regular stuff though, like we get to talk about like all the crazy stuff, but like every day, Bro, I would regular stuff. No, Bro, no you don't do Bro. You look at your feet all right now? No, no, no, no, it's different nothing regularly. I'm on the road. I'm on the road trip and I'll be on your team. That's what I'm saying, like to but alright, but this podcast

wasn't playing. So this is just what he did. What we had nothing to do with this was coming here. What are you talking about? This is just what he does. I've been on his team, bro, so let him get his ship out. What's what's regular? Regular? Like like air Max was and all White Air Forces like I would regular snack every day. All White Air Force had a rocketfeller. That's a fact. Or they might be John Elliott. That's fact. Yes, I'm wearing bro I play. I play this nigga team

so Yo he got the supreme. I wear a rocket feller once he were ones. It's not okay, that's what you're calling Boss Leather. I got a question for you. You know what I'm saying. We all grow up at the time, but word, you know what I'm saying, outside of wearing mice like we was about an age group of where you know what I'm saying, you rocked the Iversons because Iverson was that nigga t Mac Mac was that nigga? What will it take for like dogs getting

signatures today? Like you got the jobs popping out soon, what will it take for them shoes on initial release to get back to high woods? You know what I'm saying, Like the Barclays, the Pennies, we was geeked to where though it's not the same no more and obviously you ain't trying to get fly and like no pgs, no Kyrie's. You think Nikia ever get back to the point to where they make that shoe like lit to where off

court as it is in court? Is it just gonna be performance basical going for over it dude, do you think it's just Nike. Nike's the reason that it's not like that. I won't say I will put that on Nike because it's not them, but I'll say overall, like you know, those Nike stifles was the ones that we

got to like. But I'm saying, like what what we're all goes tours making those iconic shoes what they were to us, like right, like when you really like since like see this is marketing, this is this is what I'm saying, like people forgetting Everybody like talk about it a lot now, especially but not so many releases dropping of like new stuff like like what made it? Like what made it like that? Like what made Let's let's just take Penny for us, talk about it a little

Penny Tower Banks keep going like we can. We can keep going, bro Pennies whole exists with all that stuff. And then to see Penny on that on NBC, go up top on somebody go crazy, but like it was like the whole experience of like Penny was like different. Y'all y'all shooting experts. I'll get that to y'all, but you know, shout out to y'all, but you're a nasty nigga. If you wear a pair of Kyries and some jeens like Jeffery got on to the club, you're out of

pocket nobody. That's the whole point. I don't give a fuck what commercial. I don't give a fuck who put them bitches on. Don't give a fuck. If you put on some Kyres with them Flair jeans, you're a nasty I ain't trying to fuck up y'all segment rights. I'm just listen. First of all, I'm just saying, that's all right, But that's not and that's not that's not the tonal fit. That's what about some Katie Force that was with them Flair Jays with them seven of the Shoes ever talking

about it. I'm gonna stop it anything, stop doing it everywhere you get a pass because who you are, you probably had a couple of week ass outfits. But niggas said that's PJAT. He gonna get us right tomorrow. He gonna fuck with us to get back. They gonna come back and fuck with us tomorrow. Bro. You can't say that. Bro, listen, Yes, I can't. Ain't never you got on some Flair jeans too, You ain't never wore some kyries I love off the court. But that's what I think. That's what I'm trying to say.

Where will they get back to a fashion like I feel like niggas ghetto ghetto niggas wore phone posets with some black jeans. The difference is though now with the performance like technology, like don't shoes these shoes the technology is different. Okay, but but DJ say hurt now like but yeah, DJ say it. Take the dick sporting was auf the shoe and bring it more back to foot locker chimps like a Lebron three. We was out of pocket, but niggas was wearing them with fits though, but that

was it wasn't but it was. It was really kind of weak. We was pushing it. It was on the I'm listen man, three man, you don't like that? Three threes are my favorite Lebron ever fast personal choice. I didn't wear. I didn't wear the ones with fits. But I'm talking about the Zoom generations with some with some rocket jeans, jeans or that could have been respectable. It was a little dusty. I'm saying, like for today, if a nigga had on some threes with some jeans. You're

kind of looking like you're not getting the club. They're gonna turn you away as bro. Yeah facts, but you know what I'm saying, nobody wearing Lebron threes. But I think but I'm trying to pin them back to what DJ was trying to say, like when would it get back to whatever? Because it's based off of performance, perform Like it's performance shoes. Shoes are like like, guys, you gotta hooping him like you got actually playing them, like busting out like you gotta like it's like a real thing,

like you gotta the performance. Gotta beat there. Okay, that's why it's gotta beat there, busting out the shoes you got on now know house arrest, I got three straps. Jason vorh is with him. You ain't getting out of them shoes ready, But I honestly like I want to see like the energy back in it, right And that's I'm actually helping Book with his new shoes because Book new shoes coming okay right now, And it's but it's got a chance, it's got a chance to really like

change the game. What do you think about josh I like Joshua Lot, I like Joshua a lot. It's clean, it's and I feel like it's him, like it's gets him. He's just sent me a bunch of pairs. I mess with job, but with the shoes on you, like they gotta fit you right, like I ain't with like some people can shoes things like it's like yo, they don't even don't even look like, don't make sense, don't make sense, like it's gotta make sense. And I think that's back

in the day, like everybody shoes makes sense. They did it like it looked like your shoes, like Charles Barkley, Like Charles Barkley. Charles Barkley shoes like a big Like that's what I'm saying. Like his shoes looked like him, like Martin looked like him. But you're still throwing all black. You're not throwing phones on right now. Put your phones on. I ain't seen phones and don't it's about to bring them back because you're in the new galaxy. You ain't

from that. Don't don't disconnect yourself too much. And that it might be a nigger phone, Jake, I know you put on them. He might ask you for five on this tank if you got on phone post. So I don't even talk about nigga. I know you fashion wake ripped the real white do me three means the nigga got the phones on with all black fit in our city. He's safe, Yeah, because he's a dangerous nigga. No nobody

being dangerous, but we're not. He's chilling. He might come to the gym, you know what I mean, Dram had a basketball event or something. Nigga coming at all black in his pocket though he chilled, for sure. He chilled all black with some phones on. It don't matter what coming, I guess. I mean, get the tongue always black on the phone cities different, go with the phone cities always to me, been on what phones it is? But okay,

I'm gonna take you right now. I ain't the Mike Bibby all right, I'm telling you, I repectus just wearing swaying phone that about to be happy because phones is coming back right now. I can't about to push Oh, I got a blue pair of Mike Bibby's white Mike Bibby, I need him on the tell my boy you've seen on this podcast. I need that you were the mellow. No damn my contract. I will say that respectfully. Yeah,

we're Nike guy. I got a question for you. Know what I'm saying, You've had so many crazy ps with like the high Products and the Kobes, but like, what's your favorite Kobe model? Kobe four you're rolling. I think Kobe four is the best basketball show ever made. Oh you know what, I'm a respect it, but I think I shoot is close, even though it was the same price point. I think that PG one needs more respect. I think that PG one is one of the hardest

basketball shoes. J Turner said nothing on it. I'm looking who said I with the PG one. We're just we're talking. I'm not I'm not just that shoot. I don't think it's the best shoe, but we're saying this is like another level I respect, like Kobe four is nig You remember when you showed me the undefeat even we Yo do even were in the Phoenix and the Undefeated. You show me on the Hey, I'm on the bus tripping Jeff starting, I'm going crazy. He got the Undefeated, not

the pack. I know, the Green, the friends of Family, the F and F I'm going hard, like Yo, you about to wear though, He's like He's like, yo, you Wally was because her kids like shit like that. I feel like that could be four is there. I'm a Kobe six nigga, but I respect the funk out Kobe six is good, but they don't got like the Kobe four.

To me, I like my shoes to be tight, like like loose, and it like loosens up more when you play, Like the more you wear the Kobe six, it loosens up and it gets to a point where you can't even wear no more because they're blowing out like they're going the scales four. I swear, who ever I took them six? Did you know about that? I didn't. It's like a yeah, I said he had so many man, he had so many ps bro. That was like he like just storm, like, you know, let me take this.

I ain't give him the sign of him. I'm like, shit, they gonna see on the end of that they know who they are. Pull the bright orchards to You want to think about it? You want to think about yeah, for sure. Last minute at least we get out of here. We got to ask a couple of rapper questions. What I'm saying, See how you feel about a couple of things. You've been around the league while I'm gonna go, You're top five cities to go out there in the United

States of America. And no particular or no pressure, indeposit. I love good money out here. I know you're gonna ask for gas money. Walk away, Miami, New York, La. Scott, Still Houston, Scott, Still about Toronto, though I love Toronto, there's still Canada. What about Atlanta? Though I love Atlanta, But it's Houston number one? You think you think number one place in America right now? Over No, No, no, what I'm saying, like not right now, I'm saying and

like over the years, over the years. No, I'm saying, we asked me what right now, what the city's are right now in no particular order, and that's why I said Houston last. But Houston is actually like one two real right now in America. That yeah, niggas, I had a good time. He took me out of Houston, had a great time. Shout out to the Porsche. No, of course, listen, Toronto is a great time. I'm just saying I have

problems when I crossed the border. So yeah, yeah, I just don't It's just a little different experience for me now. And I played there and I love it. It's wonderful, But all right, I'd rather be in La New York. I can I not putting that over La New York Miami. Can I ask you something before we get to like these last questions? What was it like winning the championship? How would you define? Like? What was that for you?

Like being an NBA champion, Like you weren't so hard you want to oversee play countless amount of years in the league to get to Milwaukee. Me being one of your teammates and being a part of that, sharing that moment with you. What was that like for you winning the championship? Yeah? I think too. I was coming from Houston where he's just like for Chip not get it.

Everybody left me. Then they start playing with me like like I was fake, hurt, blah blah blah, like this dismissed me from the team, like trying to get traded. They playing to get the Milwaukee and it's like, all right, all the bullshit going now, fighting all the obstacles I had to fight in Milwaukee during the time of like showing them like who I am and what I do and like fighting that battle to actually finishing it and doing what you said you was gonna do, Like there

was nothing. That's like the top of the top, like the pinnacle, like you know, like stand on top of that mountain was like looking down like fuck everybody that's that like you like your whole life like looking back there, like all the Toronto that shit, like you know what I'm saying, like you like I literally had to go through like the phases of all that shit to get

to that point, like that ship was everything. And then But the best part about it is as soon as it's over the season starts, it's like, all right, you did it white, Lately it again? I tell that, bro, That's the best part about it. It's like, especially if you don't retire, if you ain't done, it's like I retire. You retired right away. You retired on top. But when you go to another team or wherever whatever you're gonna do, it's like, boom, what have you done lately? Do it again?

Do it again? If you like that, then do it again. Okay. It's a great segment. Since you went from winning the championship to go on with my dog Jimmy and Miami, that created me to a whole other monster because all right, Milwaukee didn't they didn't do what they I thought they should have did. I was like, they just want to match. They're like, well, don't get offer and we'll match whoever offer you. And I was like, do you want better?

I'm I'm I'm gonna go to whoever offers me. You can keep your match and then I'm gonna see you. I like that, I'm gonna see you around the block. And so that whole motivation that year was like getting to the class to play Milwaukee, like I just wanted to. It wasn't even a bout winning the chip for me, Like I was all some ship, like I just wanted to do me like that, Like, yeah, we talked about yeah, broking, we talked about that so much. Yeah, I feel like

they they should have brought you back ball Drop. I think it was better for you to go to my own better because you show the different side of your game. Yeah. I actually got to hoop. You got to whop. It's the first time I got to really hoop in the world. You got to hoop. So that was okay. So having that experience and being on the hoop, like how you get I mean, I know why you went to Feeling, but how could you leave Miami all right and go

back to fath like you can? When I left Toronto to go to used to Cep getting hurt like that, that was our yet, that was it was over. See if you don't get hurt. We wanted that year. I don't care nobody saying talk about that year. So see you get hurt. We still had a chances. Didn't do it. He can say what he wants, all right, three two with the home court advantage, all right, I'll pay you out. Yeah, yeah you he That was okay, alright? What what all right?

To get the call for me to get all that, all that stuff to happen, and then for my man to call me like, yo, come on, I need you, come on, Yeah, I want to see my dog win. So I got a chance to get the money I wanted. I wanted to full let I wanted the full three years, full mid levels to get that and then to be able to help out my guy get one. I was like, yeah, let's do it. I got I got it before we get out of here. I fuck with all the basketball stories. I love it, but we can't let you leave this

motherfucker without giving us to be a math story. Smooth and smooth was it? Smooth was in it. But mine is different thought because it wasn't in Atlantic. It was in Houston. Oh. It was Envisions in Houston. This is the floor, George bro. And that was my first time going to It was actually my first time going to Houston. Oh and we go down there. I never forget I've seen with Tumbo uh in the club. Yeah he was disrespectable, remember that, yet I was him? Yeah, I love this

story already's him. I've been on the island a my bro. This is two thousand. It's my first two thousand of four yeah oh four. Oh Envisaged Houston is just open. I don't know how long it's open whatever. But it's my first time in Houston. And they had like purple lights. It's like lit up like it's like a bro like you pull up. It was like I know it's I'm in college. Bro. I'm like, oh my god, this is

bro like crazy. We get up there and they had like tigers and lions and something like out front, like like the people out there handing like handlers and shit like crazy. Damn, you know, what's going on? Bro? This is this is wild, bro, like real you see, like we get in the spot, like we finally get in there, we're like playing the bar. Obviously wein't got on table in college. Yeah, we just happy to be in there.

And shall these dudes with the black like the all black on the ice on the room, like damn, they didn't like like you know what they didn't like. But I'm I'm hipped the game out. Were like all right, no, it's telling me. It's like I know where they are right like, Bro, they came around the corner. I don't know how many bottles it was, bro, but they had to buy out the whole case, like it had to be like forty or fifty, like actual bottles, like Christal PJ.

Rose is like, crazy, we just standing there. I'm literally right in front of me. I'm just staring there looking like corny ass like little kid like looking like just staring like, oh my god. Bro. And they start throwing money there trash bags bro, and it's the regular club. I'm like, yo. She's like at this point, it's like it's like I'm not even partying no more, like I ain't even looking at it. What's going on? You're just staring like like yo, this is wild, bro. And then

were leaving it and they had all these lambos front. Bro, I swear I've never seen I mean like they really the reason like that was like got in the cars and stuff like watching them, bro, like for real, it was like yo, like I gotta like, I gotta leave a comment, look like like for real, like they made you like that, bro. Seeing them was like, oh my god, bro, like what is that like? What is that like? Like

nothing like that, bro, trust me. My story in Atlanta Blue, my first night ever going out in Atlanta was that tongue and groove Blue Da Vinci. I guess he just had got out. He had a all white lambo, I mean all white Bentley the GT. The coop. He pulled up in the Bendley GT. He get out and we standing in line to go in. It was a party for me, like rookie, welcome to Atlanta, Jeff T. I was only twenty. I wasn't eve supposed to be in that motherfucker. But we're about to walk in. They like move, move,

were like move you know what. They moved me to the huh. We we already went over this ship story. I'm sorry, bro, I had a a raging boo. Yeah, good fleets had good fats, but my shirt was fuck y'all listen, it was fucking I thought it was kinde ya the nigga. The nigga carried through. They pushed U to the side. He walked in with like five five five to ten niggas and I was just like, who is that? But we're just waiting on Joe Johnson. Yeah,

who is that nigga? And Joe pulled up was like, I was like, man, some nigga just came through, told us to move man. Everybody moved us in. This little nigga named Kevin Man shout outs a little kid work in Atlanta. He'll promoter. He was like, that's being your math. I ain't know who he was. So I got home. I started googling on this ship. You need to learn about them. They run Atlanta shit. That's when I found

out about meeting him. They was locked up. Yeah, but that was oh nah when the max still gonna get out of the way for being methna different. I'm telling you really like you was moving out the way too. I got another the question too. So in the locker room y'all playing music and ship. Did you'll ever say, hey, Jeff take the ox, you ever passed bro who were in the who were in the music they love? I just wanted to always because me and him argue about music.

The first of playing our locker room. It was special because it's like probably the only team I've been on where we like didn't play music on the plane and music, we didn't play a lot of music, like the people put his little pillowt sometimes while he'll play some music, but we ain't really like in the playing. It's the only team I've been on it was like that. Any other team you asked me, I can tell you exactly. But that team, it wasn't like that. It was some

real like it was serious. It was some real basketball like. It wasn't like like when they play a little way, I'd like turn that shit up. Yeah they would. They would right before we ran out. Sometimes it would play like Wayne or something like. It was a couple of one time me, what's the meek shit? Ye? Yeah, I had him played me, but yeah, they just went. They just went that energy and p any given time to somebody say turn on that nas. Ye know, these niggas disrespectful,

bro I'm about start getting mad, bro Ya. They try to say Nas is weak, Na, that's not what we said. We didn't say that. You're not doing that. That's not what we're saying. We have video of it so you can see it. He was disrespecting a little way and I had to tell he was out of pocket. I didn't disrespect little Way. Y'all disrespected Nas. Y'all not gonna disrespect like that is really past, Like you can't for me. It's like all production and b and stuff like it's

never his raps. Yeah, facts, it's all it is. So you can be a great rapper and not pick the right production. But fuck with not tough heavy he's he said, oh yo, not and then everybody else U I love kiss my dog, kisses my dog, but not listening. I I had an agenda when I asked you that question. You think kids better than us? You wo, man, couldn't that And with that being said, hey, shout out to help me. PJ. Tucker for I appreciate my boy for sure. I had on a podcast shout out to everybody. Hey,

this is my shot to the blue cups. Hey, like, look at that he was supposed to have it, but it don't matter. It's I don't if I don't even got one of those. Yeah, I stole that, and you got the you got the eight bottle I gave him on got me ye west Side taking over the city. And on that note, light Sear, subscribe all that good ship. We'll fun with y'all next week.
